Got an oil change at Allright Automotive today. I called around and they had the best pricing ($85 for a 2023 RAV4, full synthetic oil). Plus, I love supporting local businesses over big chains. I drove up at 11:45 and was out by 12:15! I've never been this lucky before. 30 minutes for an oil change?! Wow! They have two buildings and 5 bays in total, so they're able to work on multiple cars at once. Their waiting room had this nice comfy pleather recliner sofa. I sent my work mother here because of Jack's reputation. She seems to have gotten ripped off a few times, I suspect because of her age (85) at other places. She's very spry. Anyway, she drives an old Corolla and does not want to buy a new car EVER! She's also very stubborn...lol. Jack was on vacation, but she said his staff treated her like a queen. She was happy with the services and said they didn't charge her too much. She said she will go there from now on for her car services. That made me happy! read more

I brought my civic here to replace my timing belt at the recommended interval. I was told that my water pump and tensioner needed to be replaced as well and I agreed to the additional work. About 2-3k miles later the water pump failed and seized, destroyed the timing belt and caused additional engine damage. It was taken to a different shop who said there were bolts missing and the bolts that remained were loose. "It looks like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse did this job". Would not recommend. read more

I had been going to jack for years but the last time I took my car I left with more issues than I had when I brought it in. Starter that was replaced wasn't wired correctly and left me stranded in Vegas. Dropped my exhaust and didn't put it back on correctly causing and exhaust leak, rattle and check engine light. Replaced my brakes and rotors but they're still screaming. Had to pay someone else too to fix what they screwed. Used to be solid but work got lazy. UPDATE: A bolt was broken on my exhaust manifold when Jack put the exhaust back on causing my exhaust leak. Didn't bother to mention it but messages me on here claiming not to know who I am. read more

The last thing I wanted to do is to give this review. Jack had been the only mechanic who ever handled the repair of my cars. Went up there recently to discuss an airbag issue and was told me retired, but then would occasionally show up. So he's got some other guy handling the business, I asked his guy to find out what was going on with my airbag light and to fix it. Now, Jack would have let me know what the parts were going to be (my info is in his computer system). I never heard from his new guy who returned the car to me with no real reason what happened. I told him that if the light came on again, he should order parts to replace it. Ended up bringing the car back and he was saying how busy they were and he was waiting for Jack. I asked him to phone me with an assessment for the work to get done. Never heard from him. End of an era. i ended finding another mechanic down the street who for the cost of a service fee found the issue. No more airbag light. read more

I wish I could leave 100 + stars , this is my goto mechanic for everything from oil changes to my intake manifold. Jack the owner gives the best service and is very honest and kind. He made great suggestions on what needed to be fixed first and how to go about fixing all of the problems I had with my vehicle. He even took the time out to fully explain and show me where the problems where and how to fix them. And I can't for get about the mechanic Frank; the best hands down. He always takes great care of my car and is actually pretty quick. Frank is so good at what he does. Also Pricing is very reasonable. I've been to multiple mechanics and it's just been horrible. I took my car here because it was rough idling, only a few months after having had it serviced elsewhere. Jack discovered that the last guy had ripped me off--specifically, that he hadn't actually replaced some parts that I had been charged for. Jack was very thorough with his explanations and was incensed that I had been screwed. He wrote down his findings in his invoice to me so I had some written evidence, helped me gather photographic evidence, and he even offered to go to the previous mechanic with me. I was grateful and even tried to tip him, but he declined. The previous mechanic I went with was a total nightmare. In contrast, Jack was so easy to work with. I just went to All Right today & had a wonderful experience. I thought I should get a tune up & whatever problems caused my check engine light to go on (dreading something with the cat conv), so I figured $600+? Jack said I needed a new Oxy sensor. No tune up necessary yet (just got a yr ago & less than 20K miles since) & instead of digging into the cat conv now, suggested I try use a cleaner first -- $25 at Auto Zone. Got out of there in less than 2 hrs & $350 (Ox sensor & plugs) -- no pressure, no upselling, just straight, honest answers & suggestions. I gotta hand it to these guys...they know their stuff. I found this place near where I live, I had been putting off a much needed repair. If I hadn't eventually gotten my lights fixed, I was bound for a fix-it ticket, and a lot of inconvenient fines, and court days. Upon finding this business on yelp, and reading the previous review...I decided to give them a shot. I called ahead for an estimate, and was told very honestly by Jack that I would have to bring the car in and have it looked at. Since my repair was electrical in nature, there was no way I was gonna be able to find the problem. I was told that they would charge a reasonable fee for their estimate time, and if I didn't like the price, it wouldn't be a fortune to take it some place else. Right after work, I bring my car in, everyone was pleasant and I didn't get that weird vibe that I was gonna need to stay and watch over these guys while they fix my car. Husband found me this auto shop on Yelp. My car has been making noises when I stepped on the brake. So, I called ahead for a rough estimate just to make sure they won't give me a crazy price. Jack gave me a very reasonable price, and so I dropped off the car. He was so nice to drop me off at work too. About an hour later, he called me with a final quote on the cost to replace my front brake, and I gave him the go ahead to do the repair. I had a quick chat with him, and he told me that the shop has been a family business for 35 years!! Very very honest! He has worked on my car now for years! When I first got a Mercedes everyone told me how expensive the maintenance would be. While of course the price was higher than traditional cars, Jack made it affordable and didn't screw me over with bogus charges. He even re did the transmission in my car. As a woman I hate dealing with mechanics as I don't know much about cars and I feel that they try to take advantage of that. Not this place. Jack is friendly, honest, has completely fair pricing and does a great job. My radiator went out on my car and I had it towed here. Within an hour Jack called me with a quote and had my car fixed the next day by lunch time. Brought my car in to a get estimate for a heater hose leak. Spoke with Jack and he said he would contact me in an hour with the estimate, which he did. I knew where the antifreeze leak originated from and Jack confirmed that and told me my intake manifold would need to be removed to access the broken plastic elbow connecting the hoses, and replaced at a cost of about 400 dollars. The KT-92 plastic elbow can be found on Amazon for 10 dollars, plus the cost of 6 inches of hose, and the 2 hose clamps for 5 dollars apiece. The rest of the cost was for labor. He called me about 3.5 hours later to tell me the car was ready for pickup. The work was expedient, and no more leaks, however when I got home I noticed that there was several brittle plastic pieces from my 17 year old battery cable shielding scattered at the bottom my V8 manifold valley which would eventually cause foul burning plastic smells in the future without removal. Why the technician didn't take 2 min to clear this very high temperature area of any foreign objects that fell there before reassembly is alarming. I know they were there as a result of the repair, as I vacuumed more of the same from the fuel injector recesses that I know were not there prior to the work. Cleaning up behind your your work should be of utmost importance and doublechecked when charging such high labor costs. On top of that they did not even top off or mention to me anything about my nearly empty antifreeze reservoir. Fast, yes, but thorough no. I'm lucky that I only had to go a few blocks before checking their work. read more

Been meaning to leave a review for a while. The bearing on my driver's side work van went out and this was the closest shop I could grind to. Best breakdown my van ever did. I believe it was a Monday and they started working on it right away to get me back on the road. 2nd time I was there my wife's Nissan Muranos radiator took a dump. Had it towed from her work and they had it back to us the next. 3rd time was for one of my older work vans that I was trying to get slogged that would not pass. He hooked it up to his reader and said it would pass. He then called the smog shop to confirm. All at no charge.
