My daughter had such a great experience only did they welcome her, they also took great care of her suv and with enough time for her to get to work by the afternoon. This is one of those amazing place where the mechanics are honest and do excellent work! I went to Lexus for some repair work and they quoted me. I was not going to pay what they wanted. I went to Andrew's and their quote was 40% less...for the same work. It is unbelievable what a "luxury" brand repair costs! Lexus' hourly rates are ridiculous. Earlier this week I was driving along the 405 when my car started shaking and the engine light came on. I immediately exited at La Cienega, took a right on Centinela and found Andrew's. I didn't have the luxury of vetting my options. I just needed a mechanic asap. Wayne, the owner, was in the middle of a job, but came over immediately. I explained the situation and even though he was backed up a few days, he said he could check it first thing in the morning. My worst fear was that the car needed a rebuilt engine or needed to be scrapped. Wayne called the next day and set me at ease. I was referred to Wayne at Andrew's Auto by a friend who'd been babying an older car until she could save up to buy a new one. Over time, everyone in her extended family was taking their cars, old and new, to them. I had an older Toyota SUV that I decided to maintain as long as it would keep running well. When other places tried to tell me a repair would cost thousands of dollars and entail a long list of items, Wayne and his team pinpointed the exact problems, sourced high-quality, cost-effective parts and charged very reasonable rates for excellent work (saving me a boat-load of money!!). Over a period of about five years, they did everything from changing brake pads and oil to rebuilding the transmission on my Toyota. The one time a repair they did needed a little extra attention, Wayne asked me to bring the car back in immediately, and they did additional work without charging additional money. Recently my goddaughter asked my husband to look at her battery and he discovered multiple problems based on work done by Wayne. 1) missing screws & engine covers; 2) an unattached part laying on top of the engine; 3) inflated charges on her bill. I just visited this business on Yelp to confirm that they were open on Saturday and was pleased to discover that they are. On the otherhand, I was disappointed to see some negative reviews and felt that I needed to share my experience with this business as it's long overdue and that's probably because I am a satisfied customer, and find that Yelp is usually where I go when I want to complain. I think it's important to point out that I am a woman and should also mention that I am a 20+ year customer who has referred several family and friends (ALL female) because I trust the owner and his staff 100% Over the years, I believe that they have saved me a significant amount of money on vehicle maintainence and repairs and I have never felt that I was being upsold or scammed as some reviewers have pointed out especially as a "woman" Additionally, their prices are reasonable. Horrible customer service and attitude!!! From the moment I met Andrew (the owner) he was rude and condescending. I had an appointment. When I arrived I told him that I had an appointment. Andrew states Oh you do huh . No nice to meet you, or we were expecting you. Then he did not t want to hear anything I had to say about the car or my prior experiences.
