Great experience! I was searching larger plumbing services and saw another Yelp review recommending Scotty instead. He quoted me accurately, arrived on time, and replaced my toilet's guts within 30 minutes. Great value for money and final cost in line with/slightly lower than initial estimate. Scotty also explained the cost/value of future repairs that might be a good idea and gave me a lot of great advice on general plumbing upkeep in my "vintage" (that is, barely updated since it was the Morton Salt Building in the 1930s) apartment. My kitchen sink drain snapped from the wall and the open hole was fine for a while but water suddenly started coming out of the wall to the blockage. Scotty came in on a weekend to plug the hole and didn't even charge me for it. He came back a few days later to fix the piping. His quote was significantly less than what other plumbers were giving. In town to visit the daughter and found a couple of issues with her toilet seats. Typically this is an easy Home Depot DIY project but of course Kohler had a strange design which would require some cutting tools. Reached out to Scott and he helped identify the toilet model number. Of course Kohler discontinued this toilet so finding a replacement required a call to Kohler for a new part number. Sorry but just needed to give context that this was not a simple replacement. Scott squeezed us in before our flight and was able to remove the old seat hardware. Unfortunately the replacement hardware had to be Gerry rigged but he made it work. Overall very responsive, fast in completing the task, and very clean, including wearing booties over shoes in the house. Highly recommended. read more

At our new place in south shore, we had him custom install a reverse osmosis (I bought and tried so many connections) to our island sink while keeping the existing faucet connection, fix controller of a shower, and installed a bidet using water connection from a sink. I contacted Scotty"s Plumbing because of a leak that appeared to be coming from my shutoff valve. He asked for pictures of the leak. He immediately diagnosed it was coming from my water meter and instructed me to call 311 and that Water Management would fix the leak for free. I lived with this leak for 5 years. Scotty is still the best plumber in town!! He replaced the entire guts of both toilets in my condo. This included replacing both wax seals, bowl gaskets, tank bolts, and fill valve kits (contractor series since high rise condos require at least 80 PSI). He had to make two trips to a plumbing store and Home Depot since older toilets need a different size bowl gasket. Thankfully, he was able to find it in stock. In addition, he replaced both chrome p-trap kits under both bathroom sinks. Another great job by Scotty! read more

I was referred by a friend who has an old building with lots of problems and emergencies and not a lot of money to fix all of them at once. Scott has always been able to come through for her to fix the problem correctly and at a fair price so I called him to help me move my drain and prepare for a new vanity to be installed. I have had a similar and positive experience as well. He quoted the hourly up front, but doesn't pad it charging your for every dang second and then rounding up as he takes 20 minutes to write an invoice. ( I've used many great plumbing services who gouge so much in this way, even though they are good at what they do I avoid using them when I can because I am always left feeling a bit like I just got mugged in an alley). I don't get that with Scott: He's upfront, responsive, on time, efficient, friendly, fair and knows what he's doing. How rare is that? He doesn't cut corners either.
