Truly a well run, reputable business. I sent out requests to multiple plumbers for a bad smell in our bathroom after a long trip. Submitted a request via Yelp and within minutes had an appointment scheduled. The team arrived during the committed window and quickly dispatched of the "fruit by the foot" snack lodged in my toilet. Update: Noticed the toilet was running a little slow after the service so ran a small camera down the toilet and found a wrapper or something still lodged in there. Hello, I called and requested a quote for a simple hot water tank flush. The initial response was good. Waited for a little more than an hour to receive news on the quote. I was informed by Mayra that the plumber does not do this type of work. I do not understand why not, if the services listed says they install water heaters. Mom had some major issues with her plumbing this past week that just could not be fixed up with chewing gum and spit! Mom contacted Windy city plumbing out of Berwyn. They replied promptly and sent out two guys, they gave her an honest estimate on what they thought the problem was and had someone out at the house that same afternoon. Moms 'sewage pipes' in the basement were most likely busted and blocked. The cement was broken up around the pipes and sure enough the 100 year old pipes were busted and the sewage was just sinking into the ground, also whatever was going in the pipes was not going far as they were almost completely blocked. Blocked with years of flushable wipes and tree roots. Mom has not used flusable wipes in about about 4 years. These poor guys had to rod the pipes for hours and hours just to barely break through. They also found another area where pipes had to be replaced, that meant the cement floor had to be broke up again. These guys were amazing, explaining everything to my mom, showing her what they could so she knew exactly what was going on. They were all very curtious and respectful. Mayra in the office was amazing as well. All around top company. Mom felt for the hours worked and the 'sewage' they had to deal with the full price for 3 days of work she got a good deal. So, I live in a high-rise Downtown and ran into some plumbing issues with water backing up into my kitchen sink. While it wasn't an every day issue, I was uneasy going on vacation, constantly thinking about the potential disaster awaiting my return. While I do plan on taking this up with my condo management, I called on Windy City Plumbing to install check valve that I can control when I leave on vacation just for peace of mind. I made an appointment with Windy City Plumbing, asking about the work right here on Yelp. Mayra responded and we went back and forth with my expectations and she offered the services along with the price.
