He was absolutely fantastic and personable. He even provided me with a cell in case I was running behind Saturday on my return. I waited about 15 minutes that night through the line. I was supposed to have a Chevy Malibu and was upgraded (complimentary) to a Mazda CX-50. Car had 23,000 miles and was in decent shape. I put almost 500 miles on that car over the 23 hours. No issues with the car. Car return was a breeze. Fast/efficient. I wish all car rental experiences were like this.

Less than an hour after I'd submitted my application I received an email informing me I'd been denied for a host of reasons that aren't even applicable to me. Two of the stated reasons for denial were insufficient income and lack of income verification. I'd attached a paystub that included my 'year to date' earnings proving my income is more than sufficient, they made no attempt to verify. They also stated I had insufficient rental history, I have a spotless rental history spanning over 2 decades in the Twin Cities, and again, no attempt to verify was made. But they get to keep my $50 application fee! Hornig Co is a whole scam, AVOID.

It's on two snow emergency routes so all the cars get parked on our street and left there which screws up our parking for the winter. No help from them in notifying the tenants of the parking rules. They are very late and in violation of the snow shoveling rules and were terrible neighbors when the headquartered out of the previous house. They then turned around and sold the building to someone else. Note that every review they have is a one star, terrible managers and neighbors.

Doesn't matter that there's only a few folks in front of us, the agent isn't so quick to move folks along. The app told us we had to check us in. The agent told us after waiting in line for a while that we could just pick a car and go. Sounds like there is a glitch with the app notification. My husband was bummed to see there was a Sixt here as well. We always seem to get better service. Gold member seems to have it better off. We don't have the gold though, presidents. Car rental here is more than at Sixt. Sixt has better car options, BMWs mostly. It's too late since we pre-paid for the average rental. At least the rental deal for a several days was only around $300 or so, although had we known we could have gotten a BMW car for about the same price. Next time. We got a boring Escape, covered in dead bugs and a bit dented too. Oh well, it will have to do.

They won't even pick up the phone to answer questions. From the time I stepped up to the counter, it was all about finding ways to charge me more for every little thing. Then returning the car, they couldn't find the car for 4 days after it was towed due to a windshield incident. The number of inaccurate pending charges on my credit card was ridiculous. Find another car rental company.
