Honestly, the fastest check in process even though I had to wait in the line. I'm normally a National loyal customer, but I was quite impressed with the cars they're able to offer if you book a midsize car for long drives for work travels (2+ hours). I might convert to Hertz instead of going with National/Enterprise next time unless the selection of cars are better. Kudos to the person giving me a Ford Bronco this week! I'm now a fan!

Hertz is the most disgusting company I've ever encountered. My first encounter was with my friends in Hawaii where we waited in the longest line that didn't move for almost an hour. Thankfully my friend who made the reservation is anal and made a secondary reservation so we were saved by Enterprise. My friend has boycotted Hertz ever since. This time, I ended up with Hertz due to booking with Priceline. Biggest mistake of my trip. After getting in after two flights, I had to take a bus to terminal one since the light rail was down. Then I had to take the escalator all the way to 4th floor since they were closing the first floor counter. They refused to rent to me after putting a $500 hold on my debit card (and then wanted even more money). I have never heard of such a scam. Now I'm trying to get my money back from Priceline. I already puke every time I see a Hertz commercial with Tom Brady but now I know I'll NEVER EVER rent with Hertz and will make sure everyone I know never gives Hertz any money.

One staff at the long Hertz counter, where there are a total of 10 stations. It's good there's only about 5 guests in front of us. Doesn't matter that there's only a few folks in front of us, the agent isn't so quick to move folks along. The app told us we had to check us in. The agent told us after waiting in line for a while that we could just pick a car and go. Sounds like there is a glitch with the app notification. My husband was bummed to see there was a Sixt here as well. We always seem to get better service. Gold member seems to have it better off. We don't have the gold though, presidents. Car rental here is more than at Sixt. Sixt has better car options, BMWs mostly. It's too late since we pre-paid for the average rental. At least the rental deal for a several days was only around $300 or so, although had we known we could have gotten a BMW car for about the same price. Next time. We got a boring Escape, covered in dead bugs and a bit dented too. Oh well, it will have to do.

Hertz is located in the outer part of the MSP terminals which require taking the train to the site. The car rental area is huge and very clean. Obtaining a vehcile was very easy and the check out was even simpler than most other major airports in the country. Getting out to the major highways is very feasible and returning your vehicle is even better. 5 stars for this Hertz location at MSP.

BUYER BEWARE !!!!! I'm honest and nice or this w/b a one star review based on my IRATE mood right now! I did a bundle for a recent Minneapolis MN trip, that included our rental car. A mid-size SUV. I'm not well traveled, but THOUGHT the rental car portion of our bundle included all but the fuel for our rental. NOPE! To my surprise, I see a $125 charge pop up on my credit card two days later. I called Expedia to help. They said that they had to contact Hertz and would get back to me. Crickets until I called back a day later. After an almost one hour hold, the rep (Alex - female) said that the charges were valid, etc., etc. She would not credit me a dime, like I asked. Essentially, we paid $307 total between Expedia and Hertz for a 2 day rental car (Kia Sorrento) that we barely drove (the car was on full at rental and the needle barely moved when we returned it ON TIME). I'm beyond PO'd !!!!!!!! The positives were that check in was easy and I loved the 2020 vehicle and driving it around beautiful Minneapolis. I will NEVER use Hertz again, and am still awaiting their overdue email (per Expedia) to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT rent from this location. As a president's club member and frequent customer of Hertz, this is far and away the worst location I have been to. Twice, I have returned my rental car and been unable to find a live attendant to provide a physical receipt. In both instances, I was charged for an extended rental, despite the car being on site. I called the physical location several times and was only able to reach a resolution after contacting Hertz corporate. If you do choose to rent from this location - I recommend documenting your experience (as I did) to ensure you are protected if you need to pursue legal action given Hertz' well documented abuse of their customers.

There was a substantial line of customers waiting, yet only one person appeared to be handling check-ins. For a major airport rental location, especially during a busy travel period, this level of staffing is unacceptable and feels very unprofessional. Travelers arriving after delayed flights are already exhausted and trying to get to their destinations; having to stand in another lengthy line because the counter is inadequately staffed only makes the situation worse. Enterprise should anticipate passenger volume and staff the counter appropriately. A reservation should make the rental process easier--not become another major delay after a difficult travel day. Very disappointing experience.

Unfortunately, I had a major problem after returning the vehicle. On July 28, I received an invoice from Sixt for $614.25 for damage to the front passenger-side aluminum rim, described as a scratch. I am absolutely certain this damage did not occur while I had the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not think to take pictures of all four wheels when I picked up the car. When I contacted Sixt to dispute the charge, I was told that Sixt was not required to provide proof that the wheel was in perfect condition when I received the vehicle and that documenting the condition of the car was my responsibility. As a result, they refused to remove the charge. This is extremely frustrating. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, but I have never experienced a situation where I was charged hundreds of dollars for damage that I am confident was already present--and then told that the burden was entirely on me to prove otherwise. My strong recommendation: use extreme caution if renting from Sixt. If you do rent from them, I strongly recommend taking a video of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot, along with individual photos of all four wheels/rims and every part of the exterior and interior. Do not assume that any existing damage will be properly documented by Sixt. The initial rental experience was fine, but the way this damage claim was handled has completely changed my opinion of the company. I will not be using Sixt again.

When we arrive to the counter, there was not a lot of people in front of us, but unfortunately, there was only one assistant. That one assistant took a very long time assisting the customer he was with so we waited in line for about 30 minutes before being helped.. another agent, I'm assuming was on their lunch break, finally then arrived and took us. He went over some quick information and then while doing so we did ask if we could upgrade our vehicle, we had originally rented a Nissan rogue, but we did ask if they had any other cars, more high-end. We did have to pay a difference, but we were able to get the last Mercedes that was available. The process was very quick there after, we went down some escalators and then back up to finally reached the second floor of the parking garage. You're given a parking number and you look for that number on the floor, and the keys for the car or already inside.. you simply just load up your vehicle and be on your way. While you leave the garage, you do pass through a security gate, which takes photos of the vehicle front back sides, and top. Keep in mind that when you return the vehicle, the same process is done, and if the cameras pick up any accidents that may have occurred or any dents, they do talk to you about it.. the many times we have been renting vehicles from these companies we have never had any issues. They're great and we recommend them.
