The receptionist acts as though calling or coming into the office is an inconvenience for her, and has been so rude every encounter. The young lady that helped me try on glasses has always been kind and caring, but it is unfortunate that the "face" or first interaction with the company has such poor people skills and a nasty attitude. The service at this clinic for senior customers is absolutely appalling. I deeply regret not checking other customer reviews before scheduling an appointment. My 96-year-old grandmother was not seen by the doctor on the day of her appointment. We arrived later then exactly 15 minutes for initial check-in but still ahead of the appointment time, yet we were turned away. There was no consideration for the fact that the customer was a senior. This clinic clearly does not care about senior patients and fails to treat them with dignity or respect. If you encounter such issues from the beginning, I can only imagine the quality of medical care they provide. Do not make the same mistake I did. Research your providers and choose those with much better-quality service. read more

I get migraines from my glasses and get dizzy/losing the ability to walk from pain wearing them. I put in an order of contacts and they arrived today before a family wedding. My husband drove down from Issaquah to pick them up and called 30 minutes before the office closed saying it was taking over an hour to get there due to an accident on the road. He would be there 15 minutes late, but since they were pre-paid could they set them out as I desperately needed them to avoid hospital level migraines and simply to function. He didn't expect them to stay late. No - they wouldn't comply with setting my pre-paid contacts on the front step or behind a bush. I called repeatedly before 5pm to talk to someone in the office, but no one answered. I called the after hours number and waited 15 minutes before the service answered. They connected me with the doctor recognizing the severity of my issue, but Dr. Kosnoski said this "was a retail problem, not a medical problem." And then he hung up the phone on me. These are the specialists I've worked with the past few days (and years) for treatment for what is going on: Endocrinologist Neurologist Pain specialist Cervical physical therapist But my optometrist says my vision isn't a medical issue ... just a retail issue. Dr. Kosnoski has been my optometrist for many, many years. I can't remember ... it could be over a decade. But this is the service you get when you are in desperate health as a long-time client talking about 10-15 minutes or simply setting a bag on the front porch on your way out the door. His staff has even given me a Starbucks card for being kind and understanding when they placed a wrong order on my contacts in the past and I had to wait another week for the correct ones to come in. I'm not a hard patient. The glasses they made me last year don't work well for me and I didn't take them back. They make me dizzy. I didn't want to cause I fuss. I realize that is silly. But really, I just don't cause problems. Now I'm stuck with only those glasses because his office wouldn't work with us to take the risk on ourselves to set my contacts out. Today his patient needed medical equipment they already paid for. A brain tumor, cervical lesion, and migraines which are amplified by glasses make contacts a medical issue ... not a retail issue. And I bet others feel like they aren't just $$$ or retail opportunities to their medical providers. Since when did a doctor hanging up on a patient become acceptable practice? Unfortunately he views his services as a business and not a medical practice. He holds to business hours as the end all be all. If business hours sacrosanct, then perhaps his patients might expect the phone be answered when we call before 5pm. Perhaps when we call at 4:30pm with an issue we might expect to get 30 minutes of help. But we are all human and on this end I'd rather extend grace and kindness as I walk through life ... give others a few minutes of time to keep someone out of the hospital or do something as simple as set what already belongs to them on the front step as I walk out the front door. Or seek out what happened or how I could help before I hung up on a patient. When you have a choice, and you do when it comes to your eye care, anybody must be better than someone who treats a long-term patient in rough health who is speaking kindly to you better than this. This is my first negative review ever in my 40+ years. Doctors should take care of people and at least have a little compassion and respond with respect when patients in pain make the effort to reach out for help. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM !! I came in for a routine eye exam and specifically told the Dr not to do any extra procedure. Then I recieved a fat bill for a medical procedure that my insurance doesn't cover for. When complained, the very rude and unprofessional manager said I signed the new patient form that allow them to do a "comprehensive exam", meaning they can do whatever they want whether you want it or not. Since they don't get paid by doing routine exam, they would do anything else to get your money. You have been warned !! read more

Came in here with a friend of mine because she said the front desk "lady" was rude the last my friend came in. Sure enough the short, curly haired, I think black woman was rude once again. We asked to speak to the manager and she said SHE was the manager. So we asked to speak to someone above her or at least the doctor since the Doctor's name is on the front of the building. Purchased glasses from Eyeconic and needed an adjustment. Called this Auburn location to make sure they had time to do said adjustment and was told that they can't adjust glasses that were not purchased at their store. Ok... So I called Eyeconic and asked what gives and they told me that they ARE a provider and they should do the adjustment per their contract with us (Eyeconic). I was told that if Kosnoski Eye Care has any questions to have them call and they will explain everything to them. Now I only have 30 mins for lunch so i stopped by the Kosnoski Eye Care office and after 5-10 of waiting, the woman that I talked to on the phone comes out and looks me dead in the eyes and tell me the same thing. I regurgitated the bit about under contract and this is what Eyeconic pays you for. Then she plays the Power Card, if you like I can have my manager call. No don't bother, you've wasted enough of my time. I've worked for 11 years in customer service and this was my worst experience to date. If it takes you 5-10 mins to come and talk to me, you should have been on the phone asking question and not asking me if I want your manager to call. read more

This optometrist over codes visits. I was seen for 10 minutes and given a bill for $150. When I tried to call I left multiple messages to speak to the office manager. When she finally did call back she claimed that the time the doctor spent was not relevant and that there would be no change to the coding of the visit. read more

Staff are nice except the lady who helps you with choosing out your eyeglasses. She was very straightforward and seemed like her kindness was forced. Aside from customer service, I'll never come back to this place. All equipment used at this location were probably never sanitized or wiped in its entire lifespan at the eye care center. I may need corrective vision but you can clearly see the dust and dirt. Being that it is technically right next to your eye, imagine the germs and bacterial! Yikes! Run away!!!! read more

So Kosnoski changed their listing - or someone did - apparently to avoid the review I posted. pfft. I'll repost. This is from my last visit in 2014. The optometrist is a nice guy, thorough exam, good communication, no complaints. They wanted my son to have a picture taken of his eye because something was abnormal that could be a precursor to glaucoma, or he could just be "born that way". The year before in Auburn, they had mentioned the same thing, told me vision isurance didn't cover it, and that it would be $100. Fine, no problem. In Kent, they told me they'd bill our medical insurance. I TOLD them to bill our vision insurance for the EYE EXAM. Our medical insurance does not cover eye exams. They insisted they would bill to the insurance that would cover whatever. There was a man in there yelling at the desk people during our appointment. He claimed his appointment was incorrectly billed to the wrong insurance, and he wasn't going to pay. I received the bill. They did not bill the vision insurance. They billed the MEDICAL insurance. The medical insurance refused to cover the vision exam, because that's covered by the vision insurance. Because of the dedutible, they paid almost nothing for the picture of his eye. I called the optometrist's office, and requested that they bill the VISION insurance for the VISION exam. They refused, gave me a song and dance about insurance had been billed and if it wasn't covered I had to pay. I paid. I'm never going back. They sent me endless postcards about my yearly "eye appointment" this year. Thanks, no thanks. Found another optometrist who is just as nice, and if his office can manage to bill correctly, we'll go there.. read more

When I first showed up to Kosnoski eye was greeted ask if I needed any help and was satisfied at that point the associate went above and beyond to identify frames online in store that met my needs and style. As we start discussing options for For lenses I wanted the thinnest Lens possible. She said great with the sale going on right now you get to frames and you get a special savings on the lenses I said well let's do it so the order went in and I come back to pick up my glasses excited to get two pairs of frames two pairs of lenses way we had spoken and chose in the ideas all the groundwork that was put into this here is the day for me to get my lenses I show up to Kosnoski and open my first pair of glasses And I noticed immediately that the lenses Where Were thick and nothing like we discussed. I was very disappointed and let her know that I will not be wearing lenses That was super thick and not a stylish look that we talked about she went on to tell me that since I chose the sale that sale did not include the think lens it included just your regular lens. I was beyond disappointed then when I open a second pair I noticed the same issue so now I was stuck with two pairs of glasses that did not fit my expectations nor did it fit I asked. The solution I was given was I would have to pay additional money to get the lenses corrected which was an amount I was unwilling to cover for that error. Won't be back. read more

Stay away from this office. They cheated me by not billing the insurance company correctly. When I contacted them so they can make the correction they refused too and blamed it on me. I had already spoken to my insurance company and they said it was a simple fix of Kosnoski resubmitting using the correct billing code. Kosnoski refused to do that and charged me for their error. i was a client for years and this is how they conduct business and treat their clients? I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THEIR OFFICE AGAIN!!! I saw Dr Kosnoski in Kent for an eczema type condition surrounding my eyes / eyelids. I saw a different doctor that gave me an expensive topical prescription that didn't work. Dr Kosnoski said since my condition was bad enough that I should have started with what he prescribed. It was a topical and expensive but did the trick. I wish I had saw him first. The front desk staff were nice and I was seen at my appointment time. Very happy with Dr Kosnoski. read more

We called while en route (before the appointment time started) to let them know.They refused to see us and told us we would have to re-schedule. I went to this eye care facility for my eye exams, several years. I always got full eye exam, dilated etc. In 2014 I switched to another clinic, as I got tired of their tardiness, lack of respect for my time. It took them at least 2 hours. Last time I was there they dilated my eyes and left me for over 90 minutes, until I left the room ready to go home unfinished. Suddenly Dr. Choi appeared and completed the exam. With all the education they seem to lack the ethics of medical care and respect of patient's time and comfort. I am a professional and every hour of my time is important. Worst is sitting there with dilated eyes for 90 minutes, its no fun. Never again. read more

All I can say is WOW! I called them in a panic needing a same day appointment to get a medical release form signed....on a late Friday afternoon. Not only did they fit me in but stayed late to finish. I was even a new patient! Everyone was so helpful, patient, and so understanding of me not even having any of my insurance cards. From reception to the doctor ALL were great! Very thorough exam! I now have a new eye doctor! Highly recommended! read more

This eye doctor will try to get anything they can out of you. They must be desperate for money. I had set up a payment plan with the billing department and was consistent with my payments every month. They randomly sent me to collections over $50, without even trying to contact me first. Avoid this place like the plague!!! They try to nickel and dime you any way they can! I scheduled a routine eye exam just to get a new glasses prescription but Dr. Charlene Watson decided to ran a bunch of unnecessary tests and used the medical codes when billed my insurance. So instead of 100% coverage for a routine eye exam I got a fat bill because I haven't paid my deductible this year yet. When I called and complained they told me that I signed a form which says I allow the doctor to treat me and bill my insurance! All I needed is a new glasses prescription and if additional tests were needed they should've let me know during the routing exam and schedule additional appointment for that! I should've been my decision to make if I need to run additional tests (since I am paying) not doctor's! What a scam! I am not sure what they are gaining by trying to scam people like that but I know that I am not coming back to that Godforsaken place! I have 4 people in my family who wear glasses so Kosnoski Eye Clinic just lost 4 patients. I hope you satisfied! read more

My wife and I have been going to Kosnoski Eye Care in Kent for 4 years. Our interactions with the staff and physicians has been very pleasant and professional. Appointments have always been on-time if not even a few minutes earlier than scheduled. On one occasion we had an emergency eye problem and were able to see a physician as soon as we could get to the office. It's obvious to us the people in the Kent office are customer focused and make us feel welcome every time we walk in the door. read more
