It was a big mistake and we ended purchasing our first true 'lemon'. We got to the lot on a rainy day. We were told the car was in great shape, and that it had been maintained well and was great for the previous owner, again, their family. We took our test drive, and things seemed fine initially, so we decided to make the purchase. The following day, when it had dried out, we found that the sun roof did not work, but was glued into place with caulk. We pushed the button to open the roof and the glass fell down, it had to be pushed back up by hand and wedged in to hold it up. We also found that the rear passenger windows did not work. The rear seat has two seatbelt buckles that do not work, which should have been disclosed to us. They knew we were going to be using the car for our two toddlers, and it is unacceptable to hide that sort of safety flawl. The carpet under the passenger seat began to turn red and soggy on our way home. When we pulled it up we found that fresh transmission oil had been spilled under the seat and was slowly leaking out and ruining the carpet. The floormat was missing. There was literally a red oil puddle on the floor filling the entire area in front of the passenger seat. I contacted them immediately and the only answer I received was basically 'we know nothing about that', which is a clear lie. Someone there knows what happened. The tires that appeared good turned out to have sidewall damage and were mounted with the damage on the inside to hide it. They are dangerous and unusable, and the fact that they allowed us to even drive home on them is completely negligent. The car began to smell terribly of antifreeze, and the level dropped significantly on the way home. It is completely unethical to make us believe the car had been in great shape and that they knew it because it was 'in the family'. As upset as I was, I decide to just spend the money and time fixing these things and didn't want to deal with them again. We drove the car two more times, running simple errands, and immediately began to hear a very intense squeal from the front end. We made an appointment with a mechanic. It turns out the vehicle needs a complete front end rebuild, new axles, new rotors, exhaust manifold, and a new front differential. The total repairs, including the new tires, seatbelts, etc., ended up being more than we paid for the car in total. Because we had just shelled out the cash to buy the car, we didn't really have a choice but to begin the repairs. I contacted Amenero motors about it, and the representative told me to send them the bill to look over and they would see what they could do. I wasn't asking for them to give us a full refund, but maybe to just help with the repair costs as these things were completely unwarranted - we had driven the car a total of three times and had it for just a few days. After I sent the estimate they stopped responding to my messages and emails, and have since ghosted me. To add insult to injury, it has been months. We purchased the car in January, drove it three times, and because the parts are not easy to find haven't been able to drive it since. We have been waiting six months for repairs on a family car that was supposed to be good to go, and after finally finding a front differential it might be finished next week. These guys sold us a car that was basically totaled, under the guise of it being a car that had been in their family and was in great shape. We were able to drive it a total of maybe a few hours before catastrophic damage occurred, on top of what had already been neglected in showing us the car. I understand that we purchased a used car, and that there is risk involved there, but the tactics used to make us feel secure in our purchase were clearly unethical. They feel no moral obligation to even attempt to make things right in any way. My advise, - find someone trustworthy to buy a car from - it's not these guys.

After looking at it they said the wheel bearing needed to be replaced and quoted us over $1000 for the job. We wanted a second opinion so we took it to another local shop. They put it up on the hoist and found that it was just an engine cover rubbing on the axle. They repositioned the cover and only charged us for one hour of labor (less than $200). I'll never take my vehicle to Ken Garff again.

In my experience, they do not hear you -- they lie to you, ignore you, hang up on you, and make you feel like your concerns do not matter. I have purchased more than 20 vehicles in my lifetime, and I have never been treated with so much disrespect by a dealership. I ordered a custom Ford Bronco with a custom top, and what should have been an exciting purchase turned into weeks of mistakes, poor communication, and broken trust. I was originally scheduled to sign for the vehicle at noon, but the custom top had not been installed yet, so we postponed signing. That was not a big deal. Mistakes and delays happen. Once the work was supposedly complete, I signed and picked up the Bronco. When I asked my salesman, Joel, how to open the automatic top I purchased, he said the people who knew about it were gone and that he would let me know the next day. I had asked Joel several times before this to make sure he ordered the correct top, and he repeatedly assured me he had. The next day came, and I heard nothing from Joel. Once I figured out that the wrong top had been installed and texted him, he finally responded and said he had no idea what happened and that they would order the correct one. I was then told that, for the inconvenience, they would not charge me for the install, but that I still owed $2,000 more for the correct top. I was upset, but I understand mistakes happen, so I complied. Two weeks later, I was scheduled for the new top installation. The day before the appointment, Joel texted me and said the company had sent the wrong one again. I said there was no way this happened a second time, and I did not believe a third party had just randomly sent the wrong top again. I asked for the invoice, and Joel sent me a quote instead, as if I would not know the difference. At that point, I asked to speak with his manager. Hours went by with no call. I called the dealership, and Joel answered and addressed me by name because they had caller ID. He promised the manager would call me. Three hours went by, and no one called. I called the dealership again and was hung up on. I called again and was hung up on again. This happened three times. I texted Joel, and he said the manager, Kellen, would call before he left. Kellen never called. I had given this dealership no reason to treat me so poorly or disrespectfully. I was simply trying to get the vehicle and custom top I ordered and paid for. That night, I called corporate. The next day, my finance guy called and said he was handling it now. He admitted Joel had ordered the wrong top again. I was told it was ordered and would be here when it got here. I then waited days trying to get a tracking number and had to keep begging for updates because I had surgery coming up and needed the top installed beforehand. The poor communication continued. The finance guy also started ignoring me when I told him my trade-in had still not been paid off and it was getting close to 30 days. This dealership took 35 days to pay off my trade-in loan, which almost caused me to have a 30-day late payment. The correct top was finally installed after my surgery, so my husband had to pick it up. No one showed him how to use it. No manager greeted him. No one apologized for the mistakes, the lies, the delays, or the way I had been treated. This entire experience ruined the excitement of buying a new vehicle. The salesman could not do his job correctly, ordered the wrong top twice, lied about what happened, and then I was ignored, hung up on, and ghosted by management. The overall attitude felt like, "Just deal with it." Ken Garff says, "We Hear You." Based on my experience, they do not hear you. They lie to you, ignore you, hang up on you, and make excuses. I will never buy another vehicle from Ken Garff Ford in American Fork, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this dealership to think twice.

But I think they know how to do their job. I think they're just scammers. Also, they take advantage of women when it comes to getting car work done

Within three months I was told that was no longer the case, I would get one free car wash a month & they wanted me to purchase a car wash package--it was at this time that they were also opening the car wash up to the public. They tried to tell me I had just misunderstood but my parents who had purchased their auto in 2021 were also told they would now be limited to 1 free car wash per month after 4 years of free unlimited basic car washes. Well, about three months ago I did purchase their Premier package on a supper cheep deal that they said was only being offered to those who had purchased cars at the dealership. Figured this was how they were trying to keep disgruntled customers happy. It was supposed to come with the wheel shine cleaning & undercarriage & until that point the car wash had been doing a fabulous job of cleaning the auto. That has been rapidly diminishing ever since & I am now canceling that package. My car is just not getting clean when I go through the wash. I don't know if the little computer board they push has a dealership setting & a membership package setting or if the car wash is just getting so much use that the matinance is just not able to keep up or what? I do know I just washed my car & then spen 25 min & used about eight of the provided microfiber cloths as well as a bottle of water that I brought with me in order to finish cleaning my car after it had been through the car wash. And it was more than just the wheels. There was dirt in the window seems, dirt in the panel seems, as it dried there were water spots, & then there were the wheels. The light for the wheel cleaner came on but I am not sure it worked & I haven't heard the undercarriage spray in at least a month. If I bring it up they will likely just say I misunderstood that as well & only the Elite wash has it. We're going into the winter months. There will be salt on the road. I am going to need a car wash that actually cleans my vehicle. And there's also the fact that I feel more than a little gypped from being told I was going to get unlimited free car washes when I purchased my vehicle to that being reneged upon. I also have heard that the owner operator spends a bit less time on location or on the floor when he is & a lot more time doing other administrative duties. Well when the cat's away...
