I finally found time to swing in there so they could value it. Without even looking at the vehicle they said the were not interested in working with me at all. Their paint jobs are beyond awful. The first time I took my car to a high-end car wash, a couple of months after buying it, the brushes rubbed paint off part of my bumper. After 30K miles and a couple of years of mostly freeway driving, and no dirt roads, the paint on the hood of my car was so chipped and rusted, it looked like someone took a shotgun to it. Multiple people have asked what happened to my hood. I keep my distance behind cars on the freeway, way more than most people, so this is in no way my fault. My check airbag light also came on shortly after buying it. read more

Bottom line, I do not recommend. Despite a large selection and good prices, their vehicles are not serviced before sale as advertised. My mechanic found brake, battery, air filter and tire balance issues that should have been caught prior to sale. GM (Chris) did not seem to care about my issues This is my 10th overall vehicle I've purchased for myself or my immediate family, and 9th used (although first with a branded title). I always get my used cars checked out by a mechanic right away and yes, I know mechanics make money by repairing cars which means they are always going to find something. So when I brought this truck to the mechanic I've used for quite awhile, I expected them to find some recommended maintenance actions, which they did. What I did not expect, were things that should have been caught by the Autosavvy mechanics prior to sale. From the Autosavvy website: "Every vehicle AutoSource buys was selected from the top 10% of the highest potential branded title vehicles our buyers could find. From there, our expert mechanics performed a 151-point inspection to ensure each model was in excellent condition and refurbished any component that wasn't." The 4 items my mechanic found that I would have expected to be covered under the above: 1. Dirty air filter 2. Tires not mounted/balanced properly resulting in noticeable shake at hwy speeds 3. (important) Battery failed health check; CCA at 70% rated 4. (most important) Rear brakes at 4mm and rotors rusted (EOL) The above items I would expect mechanics would check and correct during the 151 point inspection but they were not. When I brought these to the attention of Autosavvy, they told me they were "maintenance items" and then just stopped responding. I do NOT recommend using Autosavvy Lindon because they obviously do not really adhere to their own claims of refurbishing their vehicles so customers take a huge risk. To the Autosavvy owner, I really like the truck and it would be very easy for you to not only make me a happy customer, but maybe return if you put a little effort in. I'm writing to commend to you Auto Source in Lindon, Utah and their customer sales rep GUS. I am a big believer in the Branded Title concept, when it's done through a totally reputable dealership. This refers to a car that has had some kind of damage. They fully repair it and then put it through a rigorous replacement parts checklist so that it is practically like buying a brand new car. They then sell it for far less than other dealerships offering the same make/model/mileage. I have purchased branded title cars from a dealership in Green Bay WI, another in Iowa... but my family members, friends and i have purchased multiple cars over the past ten years from the best and most trusted dealership in this field by far. That's of course Auto Source ( MyAutoSource.com) A couple days ago I found online that they had an ideal car for my daughter Mindy, so I contacted Gus. He's about as friendly a guy as you can imagine, blessed with a lovely family with five children. The Honda Civic was Mindy's favorite car of choice, and it was the exact color she loved. So I flew out to Salt Lake City yesterday. Gus was kind enough to pick me up me at my airport hotel this morning, and we met with the finance guy Mark ( who is truly a dead ringer for Jake Gyllenhall, lol) at their offices. I'm now enjoying a fun vacation driving it back to KC, while visiting family in Denver and Colorado Springs on the way home. If I could give 1 star I would. I just spent 40k dollars on a vehicle and was told by the manager Bill that you get a quarter tank of gas per "policy". It's not even the gas that made me upset but the fact that he said since you financed it you technically did not spend the money. Extremely shady sales tactic. Get away from this place at all cost. I planned on purchasing a car from them. The car I wanted was in another state and they assured they could ship it and get me a loner until then. Upon agreeing to everything I find out they can't get me a loner. I called the dealership later the same evening and told them to ship the car so we could this over with. I agreed to pay the $500 deposit once I got my loner. They never got me the loner, and charged my card anyway. Once I complained, I offered a resolution, reduce the price in the car for my trouble. Car is a whole lot cheaper then elsewhere but expect to spend money on repairs. Within months of purchasing my car paint on the front was literally falling off. Absolutely terrible job on their part to properly paint. Same thing with the gloss black finish on the wheels... Gone within a month. Be very careful while you consider doing business with AutoSource. Autosource sold me a car that they "inspected and certified" as appropriately repaired, but after multiple error codes repeatedly presenting (and having to get an Acura dealer to diagnose the problem because I live outside of Utah) it was discovered that instead of repairing the deployed airbag it was just rolled up inside the dash and a transistor was spliced into the wiring harness to "fool" the computer into not consistently recognizing the problem. Although I was able to have the car repaired by Acura, there was never a single acknowledgement or apology from any member of AutoSource regarding the risk to my family who drove in the vehicle, the hassle to get AutoSource to respond to my requests for help, and frustration with lack of follow up in regards to still on-going repairs that AutoSource refuses to acknowledge they have any responsibility for. Oddly enough they were never afraid to take my $25K, but now take no full responsibility for the fraudulent work that they authorized and upon which they placed their "inspected and certified" seal of approval. BUYER BEWARE! There are other dealers selling salvage titles with good reputations (Transwest Auto), save yourself the hassle and avoid AutoSource. read more

So disappointed in the experience with this dealership. I'd give them zero stars if I could. This is the 5th time me or a family member has purchased cars from an AutoSource dealership. This will also be the last time we ever set foot in one of their dealerships. My car was totaled in an accident a few weeks back and I needed to not only use the GAP Insurance purchased through AutoSource but also replace the vehicle that was wrecked. I've been working with the GAP adjuster, but there is some paperwork missing. When I call the dealership to get those papers, no one seems to know what I'm asking for. I get transferred around to various people only to be told that I need to call customer service, which is who I called in the first place. I have now purchased a new vehicle through the Lindon dealership, but there have been a few things that were supposed to be addressed. Each time I call for an update, I get a different person who, again, doesn't seem to have any answers for me. Today I called to speak to a manager, was told he was in a meeting and that he'd call me in a hour or two. When I called back later to follow up I was told the manager was on vacation. So much for transparency. I've called multiple times today and each person I speak to promises that someone will call me back, but NO ONE DOES. Very unsatisfied customer who is now stuck dealing with people that can't seem to be honest even about simple things. Word of advice: Stay away from this dealership and especially the Lindon location. They only care about profit. Once you drive the car off the lot, they don't seem to care at all. read more

I purchased a vehicle from them on Jan. 2, 2019. From beginning to end it was an absolutely terrible experience. 1st, the Finance Manager was rude so my friend that accompanied me asked him "how long have you worked here." The guy replied, "A long time. I've had a few different positions. I used to be the finance manager years ago and recently returned a few months ago." My friend then asked, "Do you like your job?" The guy replied, "I hate it but luckily my wife and I have some money saved up so I can take an extended break from it." 2nd, there were some figures overstated on the financial break down. Naturally, I asked them what represents this figure. Joseph Muhlenstein (my salesman) didn't know. So of course it was the typical care salesman antics of, "Let me ask my manager." This went on several times. Then the "happy" finance manager came out asked me, "What's the problem." I asked how he came up with the line item on the finance sheet? He said, "he didn't know." 45 minutes late he mysteriously figure it out. The finance manager kept trying to get me to finance through the bank they use (you know, kick backs). I said no I plan to use my credit union (AFCU) because I had already completed all the preapproval paperwork and they were offering a better rate. That made him mad! He said the dealership did not work with America First CU. We then agreed I would go to AFCU first thing in the morning. It was getting pretty late at night and everything was closed by then. We also agreed since I live a considerable distance away they would mail my license plates to me when they came in. 3rd, I purchased the car on a Wednesday night. The following day, Thursday, when I went out to the car I noticed a considerable amount of oil on my garage floor. Also, there was no windshield washer fluid in it (something I brought up to Joseph Muhlenstein after I test drove the car and he said he would take care of it - he obviously didn't. So I attempted to put windshield washer fluid in the car and it was draining out as fast as I was pouring it in. Nonetheless, the car was towed to a mechanic and it was repaired. Then I went to my credit union, completed the rest of the paperwork and they said they would get the check right out to the dealership. Friday morning (basically 1 full day after purchasing the car) I received a message from Joseph that said if they didn't receive the check from my bank by the end of the business day they were going to come and pick it up. This went on for awhile and I finally told him to come and get it and I want to be reimbursed for the repairs that had to be done to the car. I definitely didn't appreciate the Autosource Lindon insinuating I was a thief! 4th, exactly one week before my temporary tags expired I contacted Joseph AGAIN inquiring about my license plates. He said he would overnight them to me and we confirmed my address. So of course my temp tag expired and no one knew where the license plates were. I called the dealership and was transfered to Veronica (the person in charge of title and plates), I received her voicemail so I left a message. In the mean time I received an email from someone named Athina saying the Lindon dealership is under new management and her name is Katie Dion. Again I called and spoke to the receptionist, explained the situation and she said "Veronica doesn't work here anymore." So I asked for Joseph. She said he had the day off. Then I asked to speak to the manager Katie Dion. There was a long pause and she replied, "I've never heard of anyone named Katie Dion." I told her about the email I received from someone named Athina. She said, "There's definitely no one by that name working there. The following day I received a call from 'the new girl who had taken Veronica's position. She said she mailed the license plates out to my address and she showed they were signed for at whatever time. I told her I would remember receiving them and I didn't. Then I went to the post office and was told there was nothing there for my address and I was advised to check with the DMV. Went to the DMV, they said I could pay to get new plates. I called the new person back and asked her for the tracking number. She provided it and we confirmed my address again! I went back to the post office and guess what???? They had them because Autosource Lindon mailed them to the incorrect address. On to the next and hopefully final problem. Today I received a not so nice letter from my credit union stating they have not received the title to my car from the dealership yet. I refuse to contact Autosource Lindon again and will pay out of my own pocket to get another title from the DMV. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

I went in to see if they would repair the terrible paint job and they refused. This same thing happened to my roommate, who also was turned away when asked for a repair. I bought a Mazda CX-5 from AutoSource 15 months ago. It started out well, they picked me up from the airport and had some good customer service when I was purchasing the vehicle. However, they minimized the damage the car underwent before they rebuilt it. I was told only the radiator and front fender/grill had to be repaired. A few months later, they still had not sent the title to the DMV in California, no matter how many people I spoke to it was mishandled. I gave them the address and they 'overnighted' it. It was not overnighted and then when it WAS sent, they sent it to the wrong address so it had to be resent again. Then 14 months after purchasing, the entire AC System went out, a $1500 fix and they refused to help. They did finally offer to ask their contracted garages about pricing/what they could do for me if I was to come to Utah to have it fixed. The woman I spoke with had me email her the name of the parts needed (there are no after-market value parts for sale yet so it would have to come from the dealer), and she said she would contact those vendors and see what she could do to help me out. I never received any further contact from her, no phone call or even a response email indicating she was working on the issue. I was referred here due to great prices and great customer service. The initial price was great, but due to the nature of the fixes the car will need to go through now and in the future, was not worth it. It would have been better just to buy the car new or used through another company. The customer service was only good up front until the car was purchased and then I was greatly ignored, misled, and ended up paying more money due to lack of response on AutoSource's part. We purchased a used 2012 Honda Odyssey from this dealership almost two weeks ago. While we were aware that we were buying a branded title car, we were hopeful that the car would be a good purchase for our family. The van body is good condition and the interior was almost flawless. The van seems to run fine, but there is a rubbing sound coming from the front passenger side betweeen 35-50 miles an hour and when we turn left the van makes a creaky, knocking sound. We wish we would have test driven the van more before making our final decision. I would recommend this dealership for a good deal, but make sure you do your homework before purchasing. They do offer an extended warranty plan, which we purchased. I am hoping that the problems I mentioned can be fixed by the warranty. read more

Did some research before I purchased my Kia from this dealership and the reviews seemed solid. I talked with a gentleman named Jerry and felt comfortable with my purchase. In fact the deal was so good I flew to Salt Lake to pick the vehicle up. All of this was 12-31. They advised me that if the paperwork did not reach the courthouse by the expiration of the temp tag to call them and they would issue a new tag. This was the case and we began calling a week in advance of the expiration. Funny how they are quick to return calls when buying but not so much after the purchase. Left several messages and the callbacks were sparse. The day before the temp tag expired they claimed they sent the paperwork to the bank several days ago and low and behold it had been sent that morning 2-12. Long story short the title lady was nasty, would not issue another temp tag, and would not allow me to speak with management. In fact when I asked for a direct line to the management she claimed there wasn't one and changed to she didn't know the number. Soo I have a vehicle I could not drive, nor register. We really enjoyed our car shopping experience at Autosource Motors. Max was great help and extremely patient. All of our questions were answered; Max and everyone else at Autosource were very open, straightforward and not pushy at all. We were able to take the car to a mechanic down the street for a pre-purchase inspection (we were iffy about buying a branded-titled car) and the car pass the inspection with flying colors. We are extremely happy with the service and our purchase. If anything comes up down the road with the car, I'll be sure to update my post.
