Well we got there early and once it became our start time, noone was there. I ended up calling them to make sure someone was coming, and I was able to get a hold of a staff member who said they would be there in a couple of minutes. Well that turned into about 15 minutes later. Once the staff member came, they got the kayak on the water, showed us how to get in and gave us life jackets. The actually kayaking was nice and the weather was good that day. Basically two ways you can kayak through a nature area or by some huge lake houses. Both are obviously beautiful choices. So overall, it was a decent adventure but just did not like the fact they were late in getting things started.

As a result the paddles were to short. The only other option was to use a kayak paddle. SECOND favorite thing about this rental company is their cancellation/rescheduling policy, totally worry free! And I rescheduled 3 TIMES because the weather wasn't ideal without any hassle or extra charges whatsoever! Made me even more comfortable when I finally did go out on the water because I did so on a beautiful sunny day that had no cloud in the sky and no wind gusts on the water! I was able to visit one of the restaurants they suggested and it was great! Cabbana Blue is right along the water, had some delicious food, beautiful ambiance and LIVE MUSIC. In my opinion, their cardio is great and the weight machines, which were updated last year, are also very good. I like the quiet, non-assuming atmosphere. For the most part, patrons keep to themselves and that is fine. The gym is basically clean and they provide wipes to clean the machines after using them. I like that. The reason for the lower rating is that for all the years I have been a member, there are but a handful of, actual, friendly staff members. A few great ones that go back a long way, but for the most part, the staff is not welcoming or at all personable. So, do not join for the customer service, just come for the good equipment and cleanliness. And one big thing is that during the summer, the ac is never adequate! Adding ceiling fans would be a welcome addition to the workout facility!

While growing up, my family belonged to several swim clubs over the years (and I have visited many others for parties and other things) and none come close to CGPA. Here's what makes CGPA great: Amazing Staff - This pool is well-maintained and well-run. Diving Board and Slide - Need I say more? Outside Food and Beverage (including alcohol) allowed in the pool area. Great Events and Kids Activities - Labor Day Party and Fireworks, Campout, Candy Bar Bingo, Dads Cannon Ball Contest, Swim Lessons, Water Aerobics Snack Bar prices are basically at-cost. The only thing about CGPA that could be improved is the pool stairs. They're not built-in and can be a bit difficult for swimmers with mobility issues. I'd love to see permanent stairs be added to the pool and perhaps one of those lifts that are becoming more and more common at pools.
