They have a very friendly staff and a diverse pizza Menu. The pizza is above average and has a strong carriage to hold it all together. Good beer and wine selection too. If you show up on a Tuesday you may find it "hopin" with little league or other sports teams celebrating. The back area is a good place for the kids to play and run around although it is very dated and could be a little dangerous. I can see a kid slipping on a spilled soda and hitting their head on a table. This happened while o was there. He was fine except for a few tears. That said, it's something that could be improved. There is enough space to do something special or make a couple little gaming areas like a handball wall or something. Lastly, the kids really love the little arcade section, although only three or four of the games even work properly. Some of the things could use an update. It's a small section. Our kids spent some quarters. We actually showed up with a few dollars of quarters to give away to that area even though most of the games were pretty crappy, we still spent them. we probably would've spent more if it was worth it. Over all it's about what you expect at a place like this. The pizza was good enough that the 5 stars are still worthy. Let's put some of your profits into rehabbing a great community place. All of their menu items here are 5/5 All-Star Level! From their appetizers (teasers) pizza, appetizers, sandwiches, and pasta, they are all delicious. It's a perfect spot to watch sports and bring a group because of their large tvs and long tables. My favorite teaser is their Jalapeno Poppers; they are wrapped in bacon and have cream cheese inside. They are also not spicy. Their Italian sandwich with bacon and mayo added is a must. At All-Star, there are a bunch of teens/ young adults that work here. Shoutout, Blake, for cleaning up my spilled water after I spilled it all over myself. He also answered all my questions about the menu items. I also met Trent and Lucas; they were also great employees. They have a fair amount of draft beers here where you can't go wrong. So decided to try this place since I'm always on the hunt for a better pizza and came across this place. Ordered a large All star pizza sans pepperoni and added pineapple to keep it interesting. It wasn't exactly thin crust but wasn't doughy either. The ingredients were all quality and there wasn't too much sauce which I like. The crust was pretty tasty as well and the pizza had a very cheesy base to it. I liked that you could taste the ingredients and that the sauce didn't overwhelmingly take over. Overall it was a pretty tasty pizza. We also ordered a Hawaiian pizza and again asked to remove the pepperoni, it was quiet a hit and in fact I think more people enjoyed this pizza more than the all star although the all star was my personal favorite. The jalapeño poppers were interesting. I'm not sure if I liked it didn't like to be honest. I'm used the jalapeño poppers being breaded and these were a halved jalapeño filled with cheese and wrapped with beautifully crispy bacon. The Bacon was the best part however, I almost wonder how it would taste if it were breaded and then wrapped with bacon lol not sure but it was interesting. It was tasty but not sure I would order again but glad I tried it. The service was great and everyone was happy and helpful. They had a great beer selection although I wasn't there that time for a drink, I might return for some pizza and beer in the future. My friends and I were looking for a place to watch UFC 257: McGregor vs. Poirier on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Honestly, due to COVID, I didn't think many venues - if any - would be showing the fights. I looked on UFC.com and All Star Pizza was listed as one of the few places in OC that would be showing the fights. All Star Pizza is located in the Los Alisos Village in Mission Viejo. I called All Star just to make sure. The young woman who answered my call confirmed they'd be showing the fights and recommended that we arrive early as it's first come, first serve. She was friendly and professional. We arrived around 4:30pm. All Star had set up tables for the fights in their main room. There's a $10 cover charge per person as long as you purchase food/beverages. You'll place your order at the front and they'll bring everything out to you. The cashiers and servers were friendly and professional. We even met Jeff, the owner, who was conversational, personable and helpful. We ordered a half "All Star" and half "Buzzer Beater" pizza. The All-Star is Canadian Bacon, pepperoni, bell peppers, onion, mushroom, black olives, Linguica and Italian sausage. The Buzzer Beater is BBQ sauce, BBQ chicken breast, red onion and cilantro. The crust was really light, buttery and good! Both were really good choices - highly recommend! We also ordered bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers and chicken wings. The jalapeño poppers are reaaaaaally good - besides the pizza, I really liked the poppers. Definitely order the poppers!!The wings were OK - a little dry, but just okay. Besides pizza, salads, sandwiches and appetizers, they offer 18 beers on tap and a wide selection of wines.... and of course there are plenty of TV screens to catch the fights and games. Awesome and fun vibe. If you're worried about COVID, then I do NOT recommend dining here. Masks are not enforced. The employees wear masks but the patrons do not wear masks - must be an OC thing =) Due to rain, the outdoor patio seating was not available - but looks awesome for a normal sunny OC day. The tables and seating inside are not socially distanced. That being said, if any of that makes you feel uncomfortable, then simply order take-out or phone in for delivery or pick-up. There's plenty of parking in the shopping plaza's shared parking lot. Overall, my friends and I had a great experience and I'm looking forward to coming back for more food and fights. And - if you're wondering who I had winning the main fight? Well, I thought for sure Conor was going to win. But I actually placed a bet on the underdog, Poirier. Twice now since giving a 5 star rating, I have got dinky wings to the point I wont be ordering them anymore. This latest time I ordered 10 wings and a large sausage & mushroom pizza. Over half the wings were the smallest wings ive ever seen in my life. You gave me one extra but thats still 7 dinky wings and 4 normal ones. Then the pizza, never had this happen before but I usually order more toppings is maybe why. But there were two huge spots and some smaller ones where there was nothing but sauce. This place reminded me of pizza joints from childhood--running around with your teammates after a baseball game (there was a softball team doing exactly that outside). Quite a large venue, especially considering this seems like a family run business. The pizzas are delicious and the beer selection is very good. The game room has ~6 arcade games (aka Mrs paceman, car racing, duck claw machine, candy claw machine (the last two are " always a prize") and more. Most of them are $0.50 to play. During the holiday season I thought it would be appropriate if I wrote a review that came via the Ghost of Forgotten Reviews Past. Let me take you back to warm evening in June of this year and a visit to All Star Pizza... I have mentioned in the past the better half and I are not huge pizza fans and it took us seven years to try this place which is less than a mile from our house. I don't remember the exact circumstances for finally visiting, but it would have been nice if the food had been better since it was a convenient location. I imagine what brought us to All Star Pizza ( https://bit.ly/3955pi3 ) was a combination of one of those rare cravings for pizza and not wanting to traverse a great distance. The restaurant opened on September 6, 2012 and is located in the Los Alisos Village shopping center. Recently renovations to the shopping center were completed in 2018 which included new storefront glass, facade walls, roof, asphalt, landscaping, and signage. As the name implies, the theme of the restaurant is sports. There is a main dining area ( https://bit.ly/2EOCMrE ) and a second dining area ( https://bit.ly/35RkuBQ ) with communal tables and several flat screen televisions showing various sporting events. Some of the walls are covered with sports memorabilia and the pizzas on the menu have sports themed names. There is an extensive menu board ( https://bit.ly/2EL9tpV ) above the register and there is another board ( https://bit.ly/2EPZy20 ) with Specials, Happy Hour Deals and a fairly large of selection of beers. I walked into the restaurant around 7:30pm and received a greeting from the person working the counter. It was a Thursday evening and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The better half had placed the order by phone before we had the left house and was walking Kamena around the shopping center while I picked up our meal. We had ordered a Medium Touchdown Pizza ( https://bit.ly/2Qelycd ), a Meatball Sandwich ( https://bit.ly/35LT7sR ) and a Five Piece of the Mozzarella Sticks ( https://bit.ly/2PTuFAp ) to share from the All Star Teasers part of the menu. I told the person who greeted me the order, he grabbed the items which I verified them before paying for the meal and loading everyone into the Niro for the ride home. The amount of toppings on the pizza were adequate including the amount of cheese on the pizza. The red onions were fresh, the pepperoni and sausage had good seasoning and the sauce was mild which favored Laina's palate while a prefer a more seasoned sauce. The crust was properly baked with a crispy outside while maintaining a chewy interior. By California standards, this is an above average pizza, but it would hardly standup to the pizza from meccas like Chicago and New York. Rohlinism: If there was one place in the world that excelled in every cuisines, eight billion people would be trying to live there! The mozzarella sticks were nicely fried and the cheese was melted all the way through, but the breading on the outside of the sticks was under seasoned. The sauce was the same as on the pizza and has the same issue of being boring in the flavor department. I would not order this appetizer in the future as the quality of the product doesn't justify the ($6.95) price tag for five sticks. You usually save the best for last, but in this case, the meatball sandwich was the worst thing we ordered. The roll made the sandwich difficult to eat because it was more open-faced than a typical roll. There was a fair amount of cheese covering the sandwich with three medium size meatballs spread evenly across the roll. The meatballs were kind of hard, the seasoning wasn't particularly potent and thankfully the kitchen wasn't liberal with the sauce. The potato salad reminded me of the carton variety you would find in a supermarket with a spartan amount of ingredients. The pickle spear was pretty much a typical jar pickle. I definitely would pass on ordering this sandwich in the future. Overall, it is the quintessential representation of the pizza scene in California, which really isn't saying much. I will probably continue to come back here on a semi-frequent basis because it is convenient and sadly there aren't many better options in the area! read more
