I'm leaving a one-star review because of the way my 6-year-old was treated by an employee (pictured). My son's t-ball team finished the season and the head coach organized a mini pizza banquet and Ball Park Pizza was chosen as the venue. I was excited for some good pizza as were all the children. The parents enjoyed the food and the kids played as 5- and 6-year-olds do. They discovered the quarter machines that dispensed various little toys and trinkets. My son had accumulated a handful of little figurines and had them lined up neatly on the table that he and his friends were seated at. He was proud of them. And then, the young lady employee came by, swept them up, and quite literally threw them into the trash can. We could not even salvage them because immediately after she did that, another employee came and threw a pile of dirty plates right on top of them. Why in the world would she do that? My son immediately began crying. The young lady could not care less. Prior to her doing this, she had scolded the children as they were playing in the empty dining area (it was almost 8pm - when they close). She had also spoken to a mom in a stern manner regarding the children. The children were not behaving disrespectfully or destructively. They were acting like typical 5- and 6-year-olds. The employee was clearly unhappy about something. As a group, we were nothing but nice to her so her anger and discontent were misplaced. Also, what could a shy little 6-year-old boy have done to her for her to treat him that way? My son was crying by my wife's side when I heard that this incident took place. My wife was upset because she witnessed the manner in which our son's little toys were thrown away. One of the managers was informed of this incident and she tried her very best to "fix" the problem but when one sees his young child weeping because of something a careless (and malicious in my opinion) adult decided to do to him, there is no way to rectify that situation. Something made her angry and she took it out on my son. She can treat me however she pleases. I'm grown. But it takes a special kind of human to treat a 6-year-old in such a terrible manner. I give the manager credit for accepting responsibility for her employee's conduct. The manager was genuine. She offered me complimentary items but I was not interested in any of it, especially since I had no intention of ever coming back. On the drive home, we had to explain to my son that there was absolutely no reasonable explanation for the way she treated him. He could not comprehend that an adult could treat him so poorly. How does one explain such an unjustified and horrible behavior to a 6-year-old? I suppose he learned a valuable lesson today. Until today, he had never met an adult that treated him like he was of no value. I will never go back to this restaurant unless our next team decides to do a get-together here and even then I would likely choose not to attend. That employee should be ashamed of herself. People often downplay poor behaviors of their children but my son is not that kid. He is very polite and rather quiet. I am furious that an adult would treat a very young child that way. We used to order pizzas from here quite often in the past, and for some reason we stopped. It's been 1-2 years since we've been here, and we were craving pizza recently so we ordered two pizzas to go. One of the reasons I liked this place so much is because they offer gluten free (GF) pizza. I try to eat GF when I can. Their GF crust used to be thin, crunchy and tasty. I really couldn't tell that it was GF before. On our most recent pizza purchase, I took one bite of a GF slice and it was terrible. The crust was soggy and tasteless. The toppings were good though, and my hubby enjoyed his non-GF pizza, therefore the 3 stars. Another thing we used to like about this place was their daily specials. We were happy to see that they still offer them. You can get some really good deals! This pizza place is located off of Los Alisos Blvd and Marguerite. Same shopping plaza as Piccolino Italian restaurant, and lots of free parking is available. It's a fairly large pizza place and I can see how it'd be a great place for parties or gatherings. I would return in the future, but not for the GF pizza. read more

Went to ballpark with my son's baseball team and parents and had a great time. The place had a great pizza joint vibe. Plenty of TVs playing playoff baseball. Plenty of tables for all the kids and parents and plenty of good pizza, wings, and pitchers beer. What stole the show was actually the gluten free pizza and how good the crust was. I went here for for take out pizza and this place is a total mess. I ordered 4 large pizza's and and they only give one very small cup of ranch for each pizza! Food was good, we were having a nice night... until the very end. Our group had seven kids, all 7 or younger. They did get pretty loud and were running around at the end, but it was almost closing time and there were maybe only one or two parties still there. I get it, not everybody loves kids and their noise can be annoying. One female employee was clearly pissed off and was snapping at the kids and at one of our moms. She could have been nicer about it, but I really wouldn't even be upset about that. But then SHE GRABS THE TOYS OUR KIDS BOUGHT FROM THE TOY MACHINES AND THROWS THEM IN THE GARBAGE. And no, it wasn't an honest mistake because I watched her do it with my own eyes. She was making faces, shooting dirty looks at all of us, before spitefully scooping up the toys and throwing them in the trash, and then dumping a giant pile of plates and food on top. I should have stopped her but I was honestly just in disbelief at what I was seeing. My six year old son was sobbing, "That worker threw my toys in the trash!" That's maybe the meanest possible thing you could do to a little kid. If you hate kids so much, go work at a bar. read more

Pizza soggy. Kind of different. We have been eating here for years. The last few times it has been really going down hill. The bread was still great. The staff was great as always that's why they still get 3 stars. The owner is and always has been a good guy. I know he doesn't or most likely doesn't read these. But a pepperoni and sausage pizza should never be SOGGY. Really bummed my wife and I out. We will give it one more try to see how it goes. After that we are done. read more

I forget this place is here and am always happy I remember it is. It's a fun, casual sports bar pizza joint. There is lots of seating and large screen TV's everywhere. Perfect place to watch all of your games. You order at a counter and they bring the food out to you. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and the food comes out quickly. They have a good selection of commercial and craft beers. They also have a lot of basic wines for those who don't want beer. The prices are very affordable so it makes for a great family spot or inexpensive group outing. The pizza here has crispy thin crust and is perfectly baked. We all love their pizza, especially the Triple Crown with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. We'll be back and will try some of the other pizza toppings, as well as other dishes. read more

Absolutely love Ballpark Pizza!! Amazing atmosphere with great service- Super family oriented and or if you just wanna hang with the guys and gals. The pizza (any kind you get) speaks volumes in your first bite! i'm not a fan of anchovies but when your husband is and it's on half of the pizza- if a little of it gets on your side of it - (here i don't mind it at all! ) it's still so delicious! i look forward to coming whenever we are in the area. They have different specials each day. Monday and Tuesday are our go-to days where they take 10% off on Mondays and buy one get the second half off on Tuesdays. Stopped by here on a whim and what a neat little spot. Ordered the Grand Slam Pizza which is basically their supreme with all the goods and a cheese and pepperoni! The Grand Slam pizza is like a mix of almost deep dish in a sense but not meant to be. It's loaded with so many delicious toppings and almost has to be eaten with a fork. Like some pizzas, they are better the next day and this is one of those for me. I actually liked it a lot better the next day after re heating. The cheese and pepperoni were great and as advertised. The coolest thing about this place is the decor inside. It's all about sports yet has a very nostalgic feeling for anyone ever a part of team sports growing up. They have the best pizza in town. My group of pickleball friends go here every Monday night after we play. The prices are awesome you get 5% off on Mondays. They have delicious hot wings sandwiches nachos salads everything is so good. Shout out to the owner he's the greatest very friendly accommodating and their employees are so nice and sweet! They do raffles on Mondays night football and our group has won several times it's so fun hanging out with great friends food and drinks.
