This place is absolutely a gem! My family and I had our dinner here the other night and it was so delicious! First the ambience is just a classic Italian family owned restaurant. And then you get in-house made French bread baguettes. Crispy just to perfection! *chefs kiss* Absolutely incredible! We had the family meal for four so we each got a salad or soup, our own plate of pasta, and a large pizza. I personally upgraded my pasta sauce to their pink sauce, which is a mixture of their spaghetti, meat sauce with Alfredo sauce. It was absolutely delicious. But I did taste my sister's regular spaghetti, and it was just as amazing! The pizza we got had the most perfect crust ever! Our pizza that we got was pepperoni and sausage. Super delicious! I didn't realize that the pepperoni was under the cheese so I kept stealing my brother's pepperonis. But when I toasted it for lunch today it was absolutely amazing and that's when I realize that they were just hidden under the cheese. Lol!!! Definitely will come back here again! read more

Well, it's been a number of years since we've been back to this restaurant.I had the Spaghetti with the Sicilian sauce and I had the Minestrone soup. Absolutely authentic! You were first treated with a basket of killer Italian bread with butter. To drink, I had the Pino and it was fabulous. Our friends order a pizza and it looked delicious. Our waiter was always there to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The ambiance was soft Italian music and enjoyable. We have been coming to this venue for over 30 years and even after we moved to North Carolina and then back to the IE, the food hasn't changed. Always authentic and great service! A little family owned Italian restaurant in a strip mall opposite to Bank of America. Typical old fashion Italian restaurant feel. Server or maybe the owner was friendly. We had the fried Calamari and the squid was tender. The Chicken special pizza was thick and creamy. The pink sauce pasta was not over salty. So far so good. The shrimp scampi was exactly what I wanted... buttery, garlicky, lemony, and loaded with shrimp instead of just teasing you with two pieces. Manicotti comes with a salad. Chose a garlic ranch on the side. Bread brought to the table which was lightly toasted. Fast and friendly service. Salad chilled nicely. Meatball sandwich is packed with tender meatballs. Manicotti had a bit too much sauce and cheese for me, but I could see why others would love that. Tasted a bit salty. Got two cannoli to go. I called in an order for chicken Alfredo and when I got home there was no chicken. I called back to let them know and they said they would have to charge me for the chicken even though they got my order wrong. So.. they wanted to charge me for chicken while I drive back to pick it up while my food gets cold. Ridiculous. Super rude over the phone. Very very poor customer service. The manicotti was great. The pizza and salad were great. Amazing house dressing. The service, ugh. Not so great. The house Chianti wine was served warm. When we asked the waitress to feel the warm glass, she said it's not supposed to be chilled. Which we did not ask for (chilled Chianti). The glass and the carafe were both very warm. Granted, it was a warm day but shouldn't the wine have temperature control? Upon googling the temp of Chianti, it stated 55-60°. The Chianti was not 55-60° !!! Ice was added to the wine to bring it down to 55-60°. The waitress seemed very put out and overworked. There were only two wait staff for the room. Attitude and knowledge could've been improved upon. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them but we won't be going back. read more

This was my very first time here. I was around the corner charging my car and I was hungry and decided to walk around the shopping center to see where I should eat. They had just opened so I was the only one there for a bit. I ordered the lunch lasagna special with a house salad and the house garlic dressing which was suggested by the waitress. This was our second time here this week. Outstanding food and service! Ordered takeout tonight with family meal for 4 and it came with spaghetti, large supreme pizza, salads and bread. Their house dressing is exceptional and they charge 1.75 for each but so worth it! The supreme pizza was the best my family and I have ever had. Non greasy, flavorful and crispy on the bottom. Their spaghetti sauce is so flavorful and isn't acidic which my family and I loved too. Often we are very skeptical when it comes to spaghetti sauce because of the lack of flavor but this place is really the best. Their bread is so fresh and wonderful and we can't wait to come back! read more

We were so disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. After reading their reviews we were hoping the bad reviews we saw were wrong. They weren't. The Minestrone soup was so bland and obviously did come from a can. I could have picked up a can at Albertsons around the corner and saved some money. The bread was plain, small, and dry. The butter packet had melted in the past and was full of crystals and tasted old. The cheese ravioli was okay but the Alfredo sauce had no taste and was thick and pasty. I'd give this place a 3.5. This joint has been around for 50 years. This is a classic hole in the wall restaurant that has less than 25 tables. The establishment has an older feel but makes a killer meatball sub. The meatballs are tender and the cheese comes out nice and melted. Get the large for $13, you can share it with a friend. We also ordered the small pizza (10 inch) with pepperoni. The pizza came out nice and hot. Pepperoni was topped with cheese which made it easier for my littles to eat. We also ordered the kids lasagna ($10) and can say it was plenty! I would avoid the salad, it's ice berg and mediocre. They offer drink deals on some nights. The establishment is small so don't expect a rowdy loud crowd. read more

Family place. Classic Italian menu. Close to my home. We've dined in and it's cozy and friendly. The pizza toppings are good quality but if the crust was thinner it would be a real winner for us. Today we got a pizza and I also ordered the chicken parm for pick up. The phone service was friendly and easy. The portion is generous. I was craving chicken parmigiana after a long travel day and I recall liking it from here before, however today I couldn't eat it because the flavors were off. The seasoning is not good and tasted like the pre-seasoned 'Italian style' progresso you can buy at grocery stores. I prefer a more simple chicken parm fried with a simple panko and maybe salt, pepper, and grated parm within. The house dressing is good! This review is so I remember! read more

Our new favorite Italian food for quick take out orders. The strip mall this restaurant is in is unassuming and we likely wouldn't have found it or tried it if it wasn't for Yelp, so thank you fellow Yelpers! First, the people who own and run the place are lovely. Always kind with a family vibe that make you feel like you're going to grandma's house. Second, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. We love their house salad dressing, like many others here. It's a creamy Parmesan that is hard to find in Orange County and I recommend buying extra for your salads at home. Their red sauce and pink sauce are both equally great and we vary our pasta choices with sauce choices and add ons like their huge meatballs. We've never eaten in the restaurant because we like to order for pick up and bring it home but we will in the future. They have plenty of parking because of the strip mall and don't seem to have long waits to be seated when we pick up. If you love old school Italian food, give them a try! She (sorry I forgot her name, but not her warm smile) very helpful, friendly and professional. Our meals were excellent, well seasoned, nice portions, served hot and with a warm smile. We came here because wife is in the mood for Italian food and our regular joint is closed on Sundays. We were the only guests when we walked in. The only waiter tried hard but not very efficient. The first trip was bread, then the menu, the 3rd for utensils, and the 4th for water & taking the order. Serving size is larger than we expected. Fettuccine is creamy. The Italian beef was a bit dry. The table is covered in table cloth but not very clean, with pieces of bread crumbs on it. We may come back but not our first choice. read more

This review is long overdue. I am a big fan of Chicago style pizza, especially thin crust, and great pizza of this style is relatively hard to find in SoCal...about a dozen places that I know of that do a good or better version from the central coast down to the Mexican border. For many years, I had very occasionally visited Biagio's in Lake Forest, about 10 minutes from my house. Good, old school italian, family run, but I never thought much of the pizza until about 3 years ago someone suggested I order it "Chicago-style" (thin, crispy, cut in squares, and of course, italian sausage as THE topping). Game-changer. Absolutely my #1 thin crust pizza in SoCal...and so close to home. A great pizza combined with a friendly, comfortable place to dine out...a blast back in time! read more

Brought my Mom for dinner tonight--we explained this was our first visit and needed some recommendations on what to order. We were helped by Anthony--his recommendations were on point: the whole meal was delicious! Mom and I shared the mozzarella sticks appetizer; she had the build-your-own pasta with the spaghetti, Sicilian sauce, and meatballs; I had the lasagna; and we both had spumoni for dessert. Salads with the house dressing and fresh bread, hot from the oven, came with the meal. The house dressing is FIRE. I now understand why some people order it to go. Unfortunately no pictures because the food was so good we didn't stop to reach for our phones! Bonus for Tesla owners: there's Tesla Superchargers located in this parking lot--anyone with a Tesla (or an EV that supports Tesla NACS charging) who is craving Italian food can charge up their EV while they refill their stomachs at Biagio's. This is the best pizza in our area hands down. Over 49 years in same location. Family owned operated and staffed. Pizza here is the same as if I was still 5 years old. That was 40 years ago. The house dressing is one of the best but some people say too much garlic. Never to much. The one thing I wish they still made was the puffs that their mom used to make. Still one of my favorite pastries or desserts ever. They also know all the regulars and treat them very well. I hope they are around for another 40+ years. read more
