We had a MILGARD-brand sliding glass door screen ruined by a condominium homeowners association management company's handyman. That was typical in that a couple of them had been paying their family members to do maintenance and repairs and most everything we've seen that they touched was a mess including our screen door. They had decided to try to cover-up that the roof sheathing had holes in it large enough that you could put a basketball through them. So, they nailed wood scraps under the eaves without even painting them. But they dropped the nails they pulled (and we photographed) and dropped either some of the wood or a hammer and almost ruined the screened door all of which we photographed and may post here. Well, Luis saved the day. He is a gentleman and a craftsman. He had to do some disassembly of the screened door to make it work again; it would no longer open and we had been prevented from accessing our deck since a neighbor's video showed the HOA pick-up labor from the the parking across the street from the nearby HOME DEPOT. Luis like his friend Scott who is similarly gifted in saving rather than having to replace entire sliding glass doors that have been damaged-- and with similarly 30-plus years of experience in the Inland Empire, these gentlemen are economical Best of all, they show up on time and perform as advertised. Inadequate reply from the owner just makes it worse. I wish zero stars were an option. The previous screen door we had before this company replaced it was bumped into by children, adults, and maybe a small animal or two and stayed intact for 7 years. Once it ripped, it still stayed in its spline. If a 7 lb Maltese dog or a 8 lb Siamese cat can bump into a screen once and knock it off of its spline, it is inferior quality and/or workmanship. I understand times are tough, but at least show some dignity and listen to your paying customers when they have expectations as basic as a screen that won't fall apart if bumped. Neither costumer service nor quality is what it used to be in this case. I keep reading, "we've been in business for 28 years...". It may be time to find another line of work. read more
