This was our first time hiring entertainment for a kid's party but we've seen a few others at birthday parties. Robin is super prompt with all communication and so friendly. The Mario we had for our son's birthday was incredible! He did a magic show, made balloons, and kept two dozen kids busy for over an hour. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Got a henna tattoo at a party this past weekend by a woman who was hired by this company. It was my mistake perhaps to ask for something non traditional. Did I accidentally ask for something ugly too? Comments by people include: oh did you draw on your hand with magic marker?, it looks like funky tree bark, etc. She might have been tired by then.... read more

Absolutely fantastic! Birthdays are special. We were planning our mom's 65th birthday party, and we wanted to surprise her with something fun and different. We thought, let's try an Elvis singing telegram! Robin was very easy to work with. I called her for initial information, and she called once to followup. Not pushy at all. Also, there was a minor hiccup with the original Elvis she was sending us, but she called us right away to tell us. Our original Elvis injured himself, but she had another Elvis lined up right away. She said she used to work with our new Elvis all the time, but since he's in Morgan Hill, she hasn't had too many opportunities to work with him as of late. So really, even if you are not near their actual office, give them a call. Seems like they have a slew of entertainers in different areas. Donald "Elvis" Prieto . . . I cannot say enough great things about him. He arrived early and found us in the hotel easily (Sunday brunch at Dolce Hayes Manson). He looked fantastic! He texted me when he arrived, and I went in search of him, and when I found him, another hotel guest was asking to take photos with him. :) We had a semi-private room for brunch, and he absolutely rocked it! Everyone, our guests; other patrons; hotel staff and especially my mother, were thrilled! He had a portable mic and speaker system. He had a great voice, and was absolutely personable; very much the entertainer. He sang all of the popular Elvis songs, and he had some funny and great things to say. He sang mostly with my mother, but he also walked around and sang to some of our nearby guests. He lead everyone in singing happy birthday to my mom. When he was done he asked if anyone wanted to pose for photos. Uhhhh, yeah! :) He was so much fun! I would absolutely recommend him and All Star to anyone. Performance was about 10- to 15-minutes. He gave me a few of the All Star business cards, but I ended up passing them on to some of our guests that had inquired about him. Seriously, Donald "Elvis" Prieto, is definitely the king of awesomeness! Thanks for helping my mom's birthday be so memorable. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much! read more

This was our first time hiring a party entertainer - Robin sent us a great Jasmine - that too on a very short notice. Robin was very honest upfront that this girl had not done too much of Jasmine in the past, and she is not great with face painting, which we appreciated and planned ahead for. Jasmine was great with kids - kept them engaged for a little over an hour. You could see she is not a natural Jasmine because of the hair color, but she did a great job with a clever costume and hair makeup - very pretty! The kids loved her and are still talking about her. Robin - please pass along our thanks to her. She was 20 minutes late and that is our only complaint - but she did apologize in the end - they had taken a wrong exit or something. We had also received a courtesy call in the morning which was very professional - we were asked if it is OK for a young girl to accompany the performer and hang out in the background - we were OK. I will upload a few pictures from the party where you can see how engaged the kids are. Thanks Robin and good job Jasmine! Needless to say, my 3 year old is a fan now - so are we. We will use Showgrams again in future - will give them advance notice this time and will plan ahead. read more

We requested a number of entertainers for our wedding. After a lengthy chat with Robin, we settled on a fortune teller, a magician, and a Richard Simmons impersonator--I know, it's a little out there, but I'm a big fan of his. Robin was super communicative and helpful, and the price was right! I was blown away by the skill and personalities of the entertainers! The magician was also a juggler--she had told us this but I forgot--and our guests loved him! We hadn't specifically asked for an entertainer who knows ASL, but the magician did--super helpful as two of our guests were non-hearing. That was a wonderful surprise and just helped to make our special guests feel very included. Robin and all of our entertainers were beyond professional and our guests LOVED them. First, the whole ordering process was great, and Robin from the office was fantastic. We wanted Spiderman and had Tom as our Spiderman. Tom was fantastic! The kids were mesmerized, he dealt with about 30 kids from ages 2-11! and got them all to sit down, listen, be part of the show, and have fun. He then did balloons to all the kids, and wow is he creative talented and artistic. The things he created with the balloons were amazing and everyone left the party with a great gift. My husband is a huge Star Trek fan - so what better way to surprise him than to have Mr. Spock show up at his party? The event was a cocktail party of approximately 50 people at our house. With that many people gathered in a very small house I wasn't sure how it would work - but Robin from All Star Showgrams was really helpful in working out all of the details with me - and Mr. Spock himself called me (as I requested) (in full character! haha) to let me know he was at the front door so I could work out the "surprise" moment the way I wanted it to happen. He did more of a "stand-up" performance than a singing telegram - although he did sing "Happy Birthday". He was quick-witted and responded in character to the jokes and comments the crowd was making with star trek one-liners and humor. The funniest part was when he unexpectedly whipped out a black make-up pencil and drew Spock eyebrows and sideburns on my husband. It was a riot. Crawshaw Design hired All Star Showgrams to be an instrumental part of a "Locally-Grown Smiles" marketing campaign we had designed for our client, Union Street Dental Care (USDC). "Jessica, the Tooth Fairy" was created for the event. She had a flowing white gown, white coiffed hair, topped with a decorative toothbrush crown. She greeted neighborhood shoppers, business owners, and downtown Muni commuters by gifting them with free promotional items (e.g., dental floss in a plastic container shaped as a tooth). The recipients were also invited to take a selfie with the USDC Tooth Fairy and post the photo on the USDC Facebook page. By doing so, they were eligible to win a gift certificate. Not only are they skilled at creating an attraction that both kids and adults want to see, they are extremely relational and connect so well with a crowd--especially children.
