OK it's not that bad, especially if you go to the Glendale Smog Center. It is Saturday afternoon, I cruise over, Albert walks up and starts the test immediately. As in, within 60 seconds of me pulling up. You can sit inside and wait, but the whole thing only takes about 10 minutes. 60 bucks cash, sign the receipt, and Albert reports the results to the DMV. Great guy, great place, I cannot imagine smog checks going any faster or smoother. Thanks Albert!

My truck is on a 12-inch lift with 42-inch tires, which basically means it's less of a truck and more of a mobile observation tower. Small children look at it the way people look at monster trucks at a county fair. Most oil change places take one look at it and suddenly say things like "our lift is down" or "we don't service... aircraft carriers." Not these guys. They walked out, looked up at the truck like they were inspecting a skyscraper, nodded, and got to work like it was a completely normal Tuesday. One of the techs climbed up there like a Navy SEAL scaling a building. Next thing I know, oil change done, no drama, no weird upsells, and nobody needed a ladder from Home Depot. Truck runs great, still sits high enough to change the weather pattern in Glendale, and I'll definitely be coming back. 10/10. If your truck is ridiculously tall and slightly irresponsible like mine, these are your people.

Well I will never go back to Jiffy Lube!! As soon as I pulled up to Glendale Lube I was greeted by a gentleman to park and asked if I was there for an oil change and he said it would be about 15 min. Wait. He wasn't lying either. Two cars in front of me and they got them finished in 15 min. They called me to pull my van up and Maria was so kind and said they'd get everything done in 15 min. I couldn't believe how fast they were. So professional and kind. I was even able to bring my own oil and filter and they just did the work. The charge was way less than I'm used to. So I will definitely be back and I will tell everyone to come here to get their oil changed.

I took a chance and stopped in as I happened to be in the area and to my pleasure I found the most honorable mechanics one could ask for. Before they serviced my car I overheard them consulting a lady who was there for a smog check. Apparently she had to address an issue with her car and bring it back in order to pass the test. The thing that surprised me was that they told her they would not be charging her for the work they had done that day till she returned and they were confident she would pass the inspection. I previously went to a smog station in Glendale where the guy charged me extra because my car was a diesel. His excuse was that the extra diesel equipment was expensive and somehow had to recoup the cost. Well, Rick set that false statement straight and then immediately made me feel right at home. His station is clean and organized. He takes the time to chat with you while he thoroughly works on your car. Rick even took the time to check my tires after the smog check! I was so glad to find a place to smog check my car on a Sunday! I called before I went to check on the wait, but also because my printer wouldn't work to print the discount coupon. Rick assured me that he would honor it, and he did. When I arrived, Rick was super nice and even let me sit in my car with the AC on during the test in this 90+ weather (since they've only been open 3 weeks, their waiting area wasn't completed). I was in and out of there in 10 minutes and with a bill of only $40 when most other places were asking $60. After that service, I would definitely recommend them! read more

I called DMV for a list of Star Certified Smog Test/Check, they gave me RPM on Verdugo, but they only do Smog Test every Monday, but I was already behind in my annual registration renewal..went to DMV website and am so glad that walking distance from our house AllStar Smog Check a STAR Certified by DMV same lot as Mobile Gas Station on Glendale Ave had just recently opened up. Was looking for a place that was open on Sunday and found All Star; called to confirm their hours and found out no appointment was necessary. Easy to get to - open on Sunday. Rick and John were nice and professional, there was no wait, the test took 10 min. The shop is clean and has some chairs to sit while the car got tested. It was a super hot day and they turned on a gigantic fan for us while we waited. I moved to LA from out of state and had to get my car smogged today. I was so nervous that my older car wouldn't pass, but Rick's personable demeanor put me at ease, and he was extremely professional and efficient. Not only was this place open on a Sunday- which apparently is rare in the area, but the smog check was underway in less than 5 mins. Since I have a new car, they double checked to make sure I really did need the smog check at all and was not wasting my money. Additionally he was kind enough to air up my tires, which were very low and I had no clue. I am so happy I came here today, and will be returning in the future for all my smog checks. Friendly, quick, and efficient. I called to get a Smog Check because I found this place on Groupon and wanted to save money. The guy asked me if I had purchased the Groupon yet because he could save me even more money if I just came into the shop and asked for the Google discount. I drove over to the shop 10 minutes later. He was personable and friendly, and completed my smog check in about 10 minutes. So I actually took my car to this smog check place on a Sunday in hopes of selling it a potential buyer. Greg let my father and I hang out in the lot while we waited for the buyer. He was kind enough to give my car a brief inspection while we waited and popped open the hood to do a quick look. Had a great experience here. I came twice, because the first time the person helping me let me know that I wouldn't pass--he showed me a code that showed there was something wrong with a sensor. ah feels so good when these things are so swift and done quickly. It's like I didn't spend any time out of my day. Fast service and friendly staff. Spoke with Harry over the phone than had the pleasure of meeting Harry.
