I took a chance and stopped in as I happened to be in the area and to my pleasure I found the most honorable mechanics one could ask for. Before they serviced my car I overheard them consulting a lady who was there for a smog check. Apparently she had to address an issue with her car and bring it back in order to pass the test. The thing that surprised me was that they told her they would not be charging her for the work they had done that day till she returned and they were confident she would pass the inspection. I previously went to a smog station in Glendale where the guy charged me extra because my car was a diesel. I was so glad to find a place to smog check my car on a Sunday! I called before I went to check on the wait, but also because my printer wouldn't work to print the discount coupon. When I arrived, Rick was super nice and even let me sit in my car with the AC on during the test in this 90+ weather (since they've only been open 3 weeks, their waiting area wasn't completed). Was looking for a place that was open on Sunday and found All Star; called to confirm their hours and found out no appointment was necessary. Easy to get to - open on Sunday. Rick and John were nice and professional, there was no wait, the test took 10 min. The shop is clean and has some chairs to sit while the car got tested.
