Suzy the buisness owners wife right. 3 months ago i paid 684 dollars for a specific amount of 250 which i requested. Suzy could only tell me that i was stuck with it and would help on getting a payment plan. I got charged 684. During the winter. then after 60,90 days propane runs out. I then calll back asking to speak with suzy. She then proceeds to tell me as ive lived here for 3 years and have never spent that for propane. Especially cause of her mistake. I then ask to be requested 400$ of propane. Im wanting to talk to suzy cause shes the owners wife. Hoping shed remmeber me. And the fact that ive dished out 1400. Knowing something is wrong. Also ontop of 400 to pay 175.00 cause we ran out and the inspector has to check the inside. . I signed a paper for 175 which he didnt do anything the 2nd time. I asked suzy for 400$ of propane. To being filled to the top again. To be billed another 684. This guy never came inside my house. He never checked any of my systems. . She tried to tell me that i was hard to deal with! Yes ive lived here for years. Never once have i paid 1,400. in one year time frame. You guys are putting in over the amount. And only telling customers youll wait cause of job security. Inconclusion, Margo calls me with respect and full acknowledgement and recognition of the request of 400$ the 2nd time. She then ask me if i can pay the 400. She would work out reducing the rest of the bill to 289, reduced to 250. 30 dollars doesnt make or break the fact what this company is doing is wrong. Ive been over charged 800$. By verbally requesting. Thank you all state. Margo soon loses respect with herself as i voice a customers opinion this is the 2nd time in 4 months. This is becoming wrong . I appreciate the 30$ reduction but that doesnt change what the company did is wrong. She states shes gonna let me go. She calls me back stating cause its past due i need to pay full amount today. I never thought I'd say this about a propane company, but WOW, I love them!! This is our first time using propane, and we only use it to heat our pool. I've talked to several propane companies, and every time, I'd get off the call only knowing one option -- to purchase a super expensive 250 gallon tank. Being new home owners, and the propane only needed to heat our pool, it was pretty much impossible financially to make that kind of purchase. I thought it would take us a few years of saving up to be able to enjoy our new hot tub! Thank GOODNESS I gave All State Propane a call -- Susan is the ONLY person who has mentioned renting a tank, and the price is beyond reasonable! Setting up the delivery was easy peasy, she was such a delight to talk to, the team that came and delivered were so helpful and friendly (they even went above and beyond and shared some tips on measuring propane usage, took a look at our pool heater and gave us a ballpark of what to expect of usage per hour, etc.), and getting propane refills has been a breeze as it's all online. We are LOVING our hot tub and heated pool which we have enjoyed so much over the last few months, all thanks to a kind, patient, knowledgeable person like Susan who answered all of my questions that day, walked me through a variety of options, and honestly made me feel like I'd been a customer for years even though it was our first chat. This is a fantastic company with amazing customer service. I was an Amerigas customer for the last 3 years because that was who served this house when I bought it, and I didn't know any better. I called on Monday because my tank was out (I know I'm a bone head). And they (amerigas) tried to charge me $1100.00 to refill my tank. That didn't sound right so I decided to shop around and the first business that showed up on Yelp was Allstate. I spent 5 minutes on the phone with them and got a quote that was, no joke, less than half of what amerigas was charging. And not just for a refill but a completely new tank as well. When I spoke to the gal on the phone, she told me the earliest they could be out was Wednesday morning. I said great and set it up. 20 minutes later I received another call from someone else and was told that they would be there the next morning bright and early. AMAZING. They installed my new tank on Tuesday morning like they said with enough gas to get me to the next day. Today (Wednesday) they brought the rest. They lost us a potential customer due to lack of concern for our time and needs. A couple of years ago these people installed tanks for one of our neighbors and borrowed a dolly from me. I enjoyed speaking with the owner, Dave, and kept his card for future reference. In late February we decided to leave Pedley Propane (see review below) and contacted All State. Spoke to Dominique (Dave's daughter, I believe) in the office. After doing a bit more checking decided to give them the work even though: (1) they were going to charge us for a regulator, (2) they were NOT going to give us a year's free tank rental, (3) they were NOT going to match our other price for the tank rental. They were, however, charging about ten cents per gallon less for the initial gas fill-up. Mainly picked them because of the pleasant exchange I had with Dave in 2/2011, and because they were locally owned. We scheduled the new tanks to be put in after 1PM a couple of days later. The 1PM or later time was very important to me because I had a long-scheduled doctors appointment for eleven that morning. At 10AM, as I am about to leave for my appointment, I get a call from Dave telling me that he is in front of our house and wants to disconnect the old tanks and start installing the new ones. I told him that this is not was what scheduled and to please return after 1PM. He was very insistent that this would not work for them, that it had to be done no later than about 11-12AM. Now keep in mind that at this point I am just coming out of a very unpleasant experience with another propane company. After thinking the situation over, I told Dave to cancel the installation - that I did not want to start a new relationship with the lack of communication right from the beginning. He was not pleasant. From reading the other reviews, it seems that some people are very happy with All State, and I wish them the best. Beware of company! We were told if we write a review the following fill up would be discounted. We were told we had the option to have them fill up the tank when we choose and not auto fill. They billed me with a higher rate 3 months later with no discount. They said they filled it up when impossible when I was already at 60% and I check it regularly and it's were it should be everytime I check it. I take pictures monthly to validate usuage. I have cameras on the property and it shows them pulling up and not entering on my gated property with dogs. I average 10% a month with 2 people how could I use what they claim 50% in 2 months. read more
