Pleasant surprise in this small little town. Steak was good, sides were good, service was on point. The orange rolls we had heard about that caused us to visit were very good, but honestly not the best-thing-you-ever-ate as described. But they are free with your meal, so there's that. Had dinner here recently with wife and grandson. Had made reservations as they were busy during holiday season. They graciously offered to push my reservation back 30 min due to travel time from Huntsville. We're seated promptly upon arrival and took drink orders. Grandson ordered a steak from the kids menu and they brought it out first, wisely knowing how kids have little patience when hungry. His steak (sirloin I think) was tasty and properly cooked. Fries were declared "best in the world". We split the 14oz ribeye and it was delicious too. Salad and baked potatoes also excellent. We've seen the signs for this restaurant on I-65 for years, but never found the time to get off the interstate and search for it. It's in downtown Cullman, AL. The restaurant is fairly large and nicely renovated. They can accommodate large groups for dinner and cater special events and parties. There is a separate lounge / bar in the rear. We came early to avoid the crowd. Our steaks were excellent and the sides were ample servings. We had their signature orange rolls and coffee to finish. The service was attentive and helpful. For a place called "All Steak," one would expect the steaks to blow you away. Ours were just average. We sat at the bar, which is the highlight of the restaurant. Very knowledgeable bartenders who were serving up quality cocktails. Definitely a must. The grilled oysters were delicious, but the steaks were just "ok." My ribeye was tough/a bit chewy. The filet was cooked well, but a bit bland despite the preparation. Would recommend to anyone, if you sit at the bar and keep your expectations in check for the food. The people/service is what gets this over the "average" 3-stars. read more

I visited All Steak on a Saturday Night in December. We were told the wait would be 30-45 however the hostess seated us in less than 30 minutes. The restaurant was quaint and the ambiance was very nice. The waitstaff were all adorned in black. I ordered the Rib Eye steak with a sweet potato and creamed spinach side. My dining companion ordered the New York strip steak with a baked potato and green bean sides. We ordered the pear Gorgonzola salad to share. Our waiter promptly took our order and said he would return shortly with fresh baked sour dough rolls. The pear salad was delivered and was delicious. After 15 minutes I had to ask for the rolls. Our meals were promptly served and the portions were good. However they brought out $40 steaks and no means to cut them. After 5 minutes had passed without seeing our waiter I asked another employee for steak knives so we could enjoy our meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection. My companions New York was one of the best I've ever tasted. My Rib Eye steak was very good as well. We were drinking only water with our meal and had to ask repeatedly to have our waters refilled. Unable to finish our meal we took home enough of our dinners for a second meal. The meal at All Steak was one of the best I've eaten in Cullman, AL. The service however was disappointing considering the cost of the experience. I would expect to have more attentive and better trained waitstaff in a meal for two that cost over $100. One star because it's the only good steak in Cullman and I do love their orange rolls. Other than that, not worth the money. Had some of the worst service I've ever had there a few months ago. Actually wrote a note to the server on the recipe it was so bad. It was a special occasion for me and my husband and it was super disappointing to have such a horrible dinner. The hostess had to take our drink order, appetizer order, and food order and brought our drinks and appetizers to us. Only saw our waiter twice. Once to bring the food and the other to drop off the bill. It wasn't busy. We had to ask another waitress for the bread, the rolls, and refills on our drinks. Crab claws were so bad we didn't even eat them. My husbands shrimp and grits were cold. Waiter was also rude on top of not even taking care of us. $160 for a horrible experience. 5 We got to All Steak Restaurant right at 5pm. We were greeted with an open door and a smile. As soon as we sat down, Melissa came and took our drink order. We ordered the Southern Charcuterie for appetizer. For those of you, like myself, who have absolutely no idea what that is, it is a mini Mason jar filled with delicious pimento cheese (tasted to be housemade), toast cut into 4 pieces, sweet pickles, sausage and arugula, separate but on the same platter. It was really good. The arugula was drizzled with something, not sure what it was, but it was delicious! As our main dishes, my husband ordered the Ribeye, not sure which one, he just said ribeye. His sides were the smash sweet potato and pintos. His steak was not only a great cut of Ribeye, it was cooked perfectly! The smash sweet potato was so good and the pintos were under cooked and heavily peppered. I ordered a large ceasar salad, the grilled chicken breast, pintos and baked mac and cheese. My chicken was some if the best tasting grilled chicken I have been served outside my home. It was tender and extremely juicy. The mac and cheese was SO YUMMY!!!! It's literally a party in your mouth. The pintos, again, were undercooked. Marissa took our pintos and offered us something else in its place. I got greens and my husband didn't want a substitute but she brought him extra smash sweet potatoes instead. She was really great! She was very attentive, didn't "hover" over the table, gave us our space but conversed when appropriate and never let our glasses go dry, she was a DELIGHT! Perfect service! For, what we thought was dessert, Malissa brought us their famous orange rolls! They are shaped/made like cinnamon rolls, no cinnamon though and orange flavored. They are gooy like pull apart bread, not gooy like raw dough, and they are amazing!!!! Those were NOT dessert, so save room for dessert!!!! This was our first visit to this restaurant (we live in Grant), but it will not be our last and we will definitely recommend to friends going to Cullman. Really wonderful place all the way around! 1st time Eater. I was Blown Away by Everything..... Appys was The Shrimp, Perfect, not to Spicy, Crispy and So Delish.... Yummmmoooo. Amazing food, amazing service, and an amazing atmosphere! This is by far the best restaurant in Cullman. I've had the rib-eye and the NY Strip, both amazing! The burger and sandwiches are not to be missed either. And the Mac and Cheese is probably the best I've ever had! The servers and bartenders are always incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. The manager, Kelsey, almost always makes a point to go around the restaurant and check in on customers, help the servers bring out food and clean up, etc. We love it here and will continue to come back! read more

It had been at least ten years since we had eaten at All Steak prior to tonight's dinner. Wow! We were thoroughly impressed with everything we had. We split the 14 oz ribeye with truffle butter. The split plate fee was only $5 which was a great deal considering each of us got a baked potato and chili broccolini. The cloverleaf yeast rolls were hot out of the oven with the perfect amount of salt and served with real butter. Everything on our plates was cooked to perfection and the service was good too. My first visit to The All Steak in over a year. I was meeting someone in the lounge after a long and stressful day. The new owners have updated the interior and it was beautiful. The lounge was cozy and inviting so we decided to stay there to eat. The menu offered a wide range of choices without being overwhelming. I chose crab claws as a starter and they were wonderful. Fresh and lightly breaded with a yummy cocktail sauce. The portion was a perfect size to share. I got the steak frites and they were cooked to perfection and served with a herb butter. Came with family for lunch, order chicken pasta & steak frites. It tooks almost 40mins -1hr to bring both. When it came, it was ice cold , never had a steak frites that cold. Manager respond it might have got cold to reach the table. Manager confirmed it's cooked early & reheated before served. I would stay away from this restaurant. This place gets an A+ for atmosphere. I don't know what this building used to be, but the exposed brick on the interior walls is most appealing. I toured the Ave Maria Grotto on this cold March day, before stopping in at All Steak for dinner. There is a bar area, but it is hidden in the back -- ask to be seated there if you want. I ordered the chopped steak and baked potato. You can get cooked onions and gravy poured over the top, and it's worth it to do so. A nice baked potato compliments the dish. Just a note: if you order the All Steak Salad for lunch, there is no steak. So it is really the All Steak No Steak Salad. My dining companion made that mis-steak, and was disappointed when his lunch was served. I ordered the special, which was a mushroom bacon quiche. Why? Because I have never had mushroom bacon quiche and why pass up the chance? Was it good? Yes. Not very substantial, but between the fresh bread the the "world famous" orange roll for desert, it was quite adequate. Pretty neat restaurant. When visiting Cullman, I'd come back. Just be sure to order steak with your All Steak No Steak salad, if you want steak with your all steak salad. Personally, I love some nice flank steak on a bed of fresh greens with some balsamic vinaigrette, and that is what I would think would come with an All Steak Salad.... read more

We had a pretty disappointing experience for breakfast. The western omelet (add cheese) was amazing. It was very flavorful. The pancakes? Huge and tasty. The grits? So creamy. The biscuits were clearly from a freezer and like hockey pucks, and the gravy was as thick as wallpaper paste. The worst part of our experience, however, was the TWO hairs we found on our meals that couldn't have come from anyone at our table. Obviously, we didn't finish our meal. Our waitress never came back so we couldn't tell her, but we flagged the hostess down. Sadly. She didn't seem too concerned. I think the quality of service and food has gone down since they changed locations. As our small city grows, it would be nice to have some local establishments to dine at. PS. They don't have orange rolls on the menu at breakfast. Boo! read more

A well recommended gem for a fine dining experience at reasonable prices. Visiting Alabama from Wisconsin I tried the grits & shrimp which was pleasantly much better than expected. The All Steak is Cullman's answer to fine dining and is located on the top two floors of the Cullman Savings Bank in lovely Downtown Cullman. The food is fairly average, but the prime rib is excellent (weekends only)! The famous orange rolls are what puts this restaurant on the map. We went for dinner 12/11/2020. We had reservations and only waited a few minutes to be seated. They have done a great job of spacing between tables! I had the filet topped with crabmeat, my husband had the Ribeye, and my son had a filet. The steaks were all cooked as requested, tender, and delicious! The honey mustard vinaigrette was the best salad dressing I have ever had! If you like creamed spinach, it was amazing!! Creme Brûlée for desert finished our meal perfectly.
