We hired All Tech to repair a Samsung washing machine that had a drum that was no longer rotating. Ravi came out to diagnose the issue and quickly discovered that we needed a new controller PCB and sensor; he was able to source the sensor part himself, but the PCB model was apparently discontinued. After our own research, we discovered that Samsung had actually renumbered the PCB and we found a local part shop that had one available. Ravi came back out to install it and got our washing machine quickly working again. Ravi was very knowledgeable and friendly; he showed up promptly during the appointment windows too! I have used All Tech in the past so when my oven went out recently I called them again. I needed the fan replaced. I was stunned when the repair was quoted at $524. But I needed an oven so I agreed. I should have done more research as soon as I heard that number and cut my losses and paid just the service call fee of $99. I understand a service fee to have someone come out but usually that is also applied when the work is done on the spot. But the real issue is the mark up on the part which I found was around $65 on the Jenn Air site (researched too far after the visit). These guys charged me $236! I know there needs to be mark up but charging almost 4X?? In addition the labor costs for less than 30 mins of work was $189 + the service call fee. Never again. read more

Our dishwasher broke recently, not cleaning well or drying. My husband called and they gave us some tips to try before just in case. Ravi came to our house during COVID pandemic masked up and had booties on before he came into our house. Our washer started leaking water and I was sure we broke the washer. Ravi even brought a LG part that he thought would be the likely reason why our washer would leak. But turns out it was just a case of over sudsing. He checked the machine all over and even emptied out the filter. Told me house I could clean my washer. And explained why it would leak. I called this company after reading their reviews. My 14 year old Electrolux dryer was not heating enough to dry the clothes. The lady I spoke with at the company went through several troubleshooting steps with me to help determine the problem. When I gave her the manufacturing date, she said that dryers are only expected to last 10 years and that mine was well past that. She gave me the option of calling back later if I decided to have them see if it could be repaired or if I wanted to look at the cost of a new dryer. It was worth the $99 service charge to have it looked at versus buying a new dryer. Ravi was dispatched and texted ahead of time with his estimated arrival time. He was right on time and discussed various possible problems before starting his work. He was able to get the dryer to display an error code that had never been shown before. He said the heating element was shorting out and needed to be replaced. He went to work, explaining what he was doing as he went along. He was very fast and efficient in his work. I watched as he tested the circuits and sure enough, there were faulty circuits on the heating element. He had the part with him, based on my discussion with the lady in the office. Within an hour, my dryer was back to full working order. I checked the cost of the part online and it was right in order with what he was quoting. Great service. Many years later... I only wish I could update my rating to five stars for my recent experience. We had what we thought was a failed washing machine (bottom half of a stacked combo) and I recalled my earlier experience with All Tech so I gave them a call. Through my conversation with the person who answered the phone, I not only scheduled a repair appointment but also spoke for several minutes discussing by the ups and downs of a potential new appliance purchase. She gave me some solid information on which to base a purchase on. When the tech arrived, I left him to the issue and was surprised to have him shortly come back to speak to me. The problem turned out to be a result of user error and required nothing more than a system reset. Understandably, we were still on the hook for the service call but the tech web went above and beyond to spend the time to explain the proper use of the washer and how to avoid future issues. Not only did he get my washer up and running again, he gave me the run down on what the future of my washer will look like, as well as the cost/benefit of fixing or replacing when the inevitable occurs. After the washer was fixed, Jared asked if my other appliance were working well, and gave me tips about how to better maintain them to prolong their life. Pros: this repair company gave us an appointment promptly, and the repair guy was nice. He wore a mask and used our back entrance to the basement to minimize possible exposure to Covid. Cons: he misdiagnosed the problem with our washing machine, with a repair estimate of $446, above the $99 diagnostic visit charge which I paid. In actuality, it was only a $30 part, WHICH I ASKED HIM ABOUT, but he said was "hardly ever breaks." I don't think he ever tested it. Folks, the homeowner should NOT know more about repairing their appliance than the tech. In this case I had done my research, and suspected 3 possible problems. The tech Ravi kept calling his coworker for suggestions. And it turns out his diagnosis was wrong. Thank goodness I did more research after he left. Details: I have done simple repairs on my (very basic topload) washer in the past (the motor coupler). According to my research, the problem was most likely one of three things: a clogged pump, broken/faulty start capacitor (which gives a surge of energy to the motor to get it spinning), or a burned-out motor - the most expensive possibility. But you know, I'm not an expert or professional, so I figured I should have someone else look at it to be sure there's not something else I don't understand. And I was not sure of my expertise in being able to test the start capacitor. Ravi had to call his coworker a couple times for ideas. He decided it was a the motor, which needed help to start spinning, and heated up very quickly. He also thought that a clutch mechanism needed to be replaced. I asked about the start capacitor, and he said they almost never break. I never saw him test it, but I was out of the basement for 5 min. Given the $446 estimate for repair ($236 just for the motor), I declined and started shopping for a new basic unit. But something about it was bugging me. More research online said the symptoms of a defective start capacitor ($30) are 1) the motor won't start spinning without the surge of energy, and 2) the motor heats up quickly. Sound familiar? My spouse had a voltage/ohm meter, so we tested it, but weren't sure. What the heck, the part is only $30. So I ordered the start capacitor AND motor from a parts company, prepared to replace them myself. Surprise - the start capacitor fixed it! (Tested the old vs. new on meter before replacing.) No need to replace the motor or clutch. It's working fine for 2 weeks now. I will be returning the motor today. My problem is, I asked Ravi about the specific problem that could be wrong with the washing machine. Why did he miss this simple and inexpensive repair? I feel like I threw my $99 down the drain. Imagine if I'd done the $446 repair: it still would have been broken! On the bright side, I have more confidence in repairing my own washing machine in the future. And I've saved the appliance from the landfillI. I hope All Tech does some more training for their staff. They really missed an easy & obvious problem. 2 stars for being polite. 0 stars for fixing my problem. read more

Had a repair guy here to fix our dual washer/dryer, and we are SOO happy with the service!! Not only did he come prepared with the part he strongly suspected our washer-dryer would need, he showed us exactly where the old one had failed, then after it was installed, gave us a terrific lesson in how to keep the machine alive and well for much longer. Ravi from Alltech appliance is simply the best! He arrived on time in November to see what was up with my washer. It is a 5 year old Maytag top loader that sounded like a jet taking off during the spin cycle! He spent time and energy evaluating the problem. He gave me the option of repair or replacement because it was taking months to get parts from China. Since the performance of the washer was good I decided to wear ear plugs and wait. Four months later, his office manager Angela (who I want to be bffs with) called to tell me the part had finally arrived and could we schedule? She had called every month to tell me the status. Wow! Who does this any more? He arrived once again on time, squished himself into my tiny laundry room and spent several hours installing the part. Our freezer quit working and I sent All Tech an email late one evening asking them to come out and repair it. They called me first thing the next morning, talked with me about the problem and recommended I not repair it but buy a new one due to the probable cost of repair and age of the appliance. My wife and I have been using All Tech for appliance repair for 8-9 years now (mostly involving the dishwasher, but also laundry/dryer/fridge isues), and I have to say that I have always been extremely happy with them in every regard. Quality of work done has always been impeccable, and they've always done a great job of explaining to me exactly what the problem is, what is needed to fix it, and-- occasions where parts were needed-- how long they expected it would take to obtain them. (In one case, when a part was back-ordered at the factory for some time, the technician called us on a weekly basis to give us updates and let us know they were still working on getting the needed part! Both technicians who've come out (Jared and Ravi) have been extremely knowledgeable, and have offered useful advice on helping to maintain the appliances in good working order and, on one occasion, giving us considerations for the purchase of a new one. But it's not just the knowledgeability and quality of All Tech's techicians that I apreciate-- its' the level of service that they and their office provide. There is not a single time where Jared or Ravi has ever been late to a scheduled appointment. But even more than their timeliness itself, I appreciate the fact that the timing-windows that are provided for when they will come by are normally just 2 hours-- as opposed to many other service companies I've found that give 4-5 hour windows. And Angela in the office is terrific in giving quick return calls on those rare occasions where I've gotten voice mail-- or where she needed to double-check something before coordinating an appoinment. After using 2 other companies for my other appliances, I took a chance to try a different company on the off chance they might be different. I felt like I struck gold. The person that answered the phone was so pleasant and helpful (yay)!. No 20 min wait just to speak to someone (yay again). They had Ravi come within a days turnaround to diagnose (amazing) and by the end of the week the new part was delivered AND installed (unbelievable in comparison to the service I received on other appliances from 2 other companies). The price was not cheap, but way cheaper than having to get a new appliance and the price or nearly the same as all 3 companies. So happy I took a chance trying them. Bottom line: We highly recommend All Tech Appliance for excellent customer service and heads up technical service. The facts: We own a Speed Queen stacked washer/dryer unit still under a 5-year warranty that was showing error code ED23. Our research online revealed this was a lower motor control board issue. The Speed Queen support site listed several authorized repair dealers; we selected All Tech after reading reviews across different sites of the top four dealers. We contacted All Tech on a Monday; they recommended that we contact Speed Queen to ensure our unit was registered and still under warranty. This was helpful because we hadn't bothered to register our unit, which we did immediately after talking with All Tech. Speed Queen verified that our online registration was in the system and we were still covered under warranty. We called All Tech back, and were scheduled for a two-hour window two days later. The technician called us 15 minutes ahead of his arrival to alert us he was coming. He arrived promptly at the beginning of the two-hour window and happily removed his shoes in our shoeless household. He knew the part we needed given the error code, and had picked it up on the way to our house. After verifying with Speed Queen that we were still under warranty and that he had picked up the correct part, he confirmed that the existing motor control board was faulty and installed and tested the new one. He was finished in under an hour and we were doing laundry before he left with excellent results! read more

If I could give a 10 star review I would. It started with my phone call on a Friday afternoon around 3:30. Left a message. This amazing lady Angela called me right back. Her personality was truly the best. She apologize for not being able to make me an appt for that day because it was later in the day. I said I just appreciated her calling me back. It's so hard to find anyone to help you. I needed my washing machine fixed. She made me an appt. for Monday which I was able to pick which hours worked best for me. Jared showed up right on time. He was so knowledgeable on all appliances. He knew right away what the problem was. He said I could fix it my self for a little cheaper or he could. I asked for him to fix it so my son didn't have too. lol After that he asked if I had any other issues with any other appliances. He then looked at all of my kitchen appliances and told me things I had no idea about. He fixed the seal on my freezer with no extra cost to me. He took out these factory screws on the bottom of my refrigerator so I could vacuum under it. Told me many helpful things about my microwave and showed me how to clean the filter in my dishwasher. Looked it up and told me it was covered under warranty and that I should call another company that covered the warranty for my refrigerator. It will probably save me ~$400 dollars. All Tech came out the next morning right on time to repair our washing machine. A few things I noticed. - The woman on the phone who set up the appointment was very friendly and casually joked with me. I liked her style. - The technician was awesome. He walked right up to the machine and diagnosed the problem. I was amazed. Based on the information that I had given the woman, he found the problem right away. He quickly checked to see if he had the part I needed and gave me a quote in minutes. - He fixed the machine easily, with no complaints and no questions. The basin was full of very yucky smelling water but he made no comment, just dug right in to repair it. - He was friendly to my cats even though they all decided to use the litter box in the laundry room while he was there. - He explained what he had done and why it was damaged in the first place. He told me how to avoid the same problem in the future. - He was honest with me about my machine and why/why not it should be replaced or repaired. I learned a lot about my machine and am very glad that I did not simply replace it. He assured me it was a keeper. He took a moment to let me know what problems my type of washer could have in the future and how much it would cost to repair. - He asked me if I had any questions about any of my other appliances when he was done. I joked that I could not figure out how to calibrate my old pain in the butt oven. I was amazed when he walked right up to it and taught me how to adjust it with just a few buttons pushed. Wow. That is above and beyond. - He was in and out of my house in half a hour. - It was expensive. One year warranty on parts and awesome customer service justify the cost for me. - I will be using All Tech in the future for sure. No regrets here. Edit. Dec 2017. Needed help again from All Tech.
