ORLANDO FRIENDS BEWARE! If you find your car having transmission issues, DO NOT take it to All Transmission World Apopka,Fl (serving Orange,Lake and Seminole Co. (long story but trust me, if it helps one person avoid getting screwed over by then it's worth it!) Here's why: My 2009 Corolla has been running just fine, no issues at all. Last Friday the check engine light came on so I took it to a Jiffy Lube so they scan it and tell me what the issue was. They gave me a printout noting a few transmission issues and highly recommended taking it to All Transmission World in Apopka. I drove my still fully operational car and explained the light coming on, stated I'd not experienced any problems driving it at all but wanted to be proactive in case there was a problem looming. The guy quoted me $450 in order for them to take the transmission out, open it up, and diagnose the problem, and said that if I had the repairs done, then the $450 would be credited towards the cost of repairs. He said they would get to it Monday and send me a quote. Yesterday I received a quote totaling $3900 for the repairs with used parts, plus a cracked axel they'd told me about. After discussing it with Todd, due to the year and mileage, we decided it best to trade it in and look for a newer used car. I informed All Transmission World of this and the guy started to question why I'd want to trade it in, attempting to convince me that new cars are much more costly than repairs, I explained our decision and stated we did not have or want to dump that much money into the car and asked them to put the transmission back in and we would pick it up when it was ready. This is where it gets blood boiling... The guy states he will need to get me an estimate to put the transmission back in, but it will likely be around $1200 due to the labor/fluids it will take to put it back together again I told him that it was never explained to me that it would cost that much, nearly triple the original quote I was given. At no point was it mentioned how much it would be to put back together, and drive away (since it was already running just fine) and told him I never would've let them touch my car had I known that. We exchanged multiple texts (getting heated on my end, I'll admit) and finally he said that if we want to just pay the $450, they will place the transmission in my trunk and we can have it towed somewhere. Again, I express my frustration at never being told it would cost $1200 just to get my car back into the driving condition WHEN I DROVE IT ONTO THEIR LOT IN THE FIRST PLACE. I suppose if a car has broken down and is towed in that's one thing, but they should absolutely be informing people of the additional and asinine cost just to get their car put back together WITH NO REPAIRS BEING DONE, so they can drive it away. Thankfully Allstate includes towing on our insurance, but now we are faced with attempting to get any trade in value on a car that was previously drivable, now being towed to a lot with the damn transmission in the trunk. This has been such a stressful and frustrating last couple of days. Why is it that there's such a lack of decent people anymore?!? I feel like they're running a total bait and switch and never want anyone else to experience this. I don't like bashing businesses, but I don't want anyone with transmission problems to end up going here and be stuck like we are now. This is bad business; shady and disgusting. I was warned about this place prior to going there from another business. When I went inside and inquired and had them look at my car, they advised me things I needed to do (without knowing I ALREADY did those things not even 3 weeks ago). I didn't tell them I was VERY familiar with my car, and had (A LOT) of work done myself and from other friends of mine whom are mechanics. Little did they know my motor mounts, Tranny mount lower, and both my upper mounts had been replaced. What they wanted plainly put is a 3800.00 job which wasn't going to happen based on their dishonesty a lone. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The guy behind the desk was a nonsense joke. This was my first and LAST experience with this company. I managed to purchase a 41k transmission for $700, and paid to have it installed in one day for $800 by a certified mechanic. If I could pick a rating lower than this I'd give it. I had them install a transmission and new engine in my 1996 Ford F-250 and the engine failed within 2000 miles without warning. The bolts on the timing cover were not tightened and the timing cover cracked off and sent coolant into the engine, destroying it as I was doing 70 on a freeway. I had the truck back from them ifor 4 months. Rusty, the manager refused responsibility and refused to make it right. I would avoid these people like the plague. This cost me $almost &7000 and I have a truck with a dead engine. read more

THESE GUYS WILL ROB YOU BLIND! DO NOT USE! My girlfriend and I were on vacation for memorial day recently. While we were in Siesta Key, her car started running poorly. We were able to crawl home in her car, but there was definitely an issue. We started looking for a close mechanic shop to our house, and found All Transmission World. The men inside the shop were very nice and helpful. We left the car and later that afternoon, they called to inform us they had found a problem with the engine as well as the transmission, but they couldn't tell us what the actual problem was until we agreed to pay them $360 to peek inside. I told them my girlfriend is a student and we can't afford something expensive, so please just help us. They promised they would, saying "We don't want just today's' business, we want ALL your business." This made me feel extremely secure. So why not I thought, lets do it, and I told them to go ahead. Now is where is gets interesting and the story takes a horrific turn... The next morning, the shop called. Told me they found the issues, and could fix the problem...for $2000!!!! I asked them for details, and more details. They were evasive in their answers, and I believe attempted to camouflage the truth of the matter. What they didn't expect to encounter is that I had car mechanical experience. I was able to decipher the bullshit coming out of the mouth of the employee and discover that to fix the immediate problem that caused the vehicle to start running poorly all i needed was about $100-150 in parts (basic tuneup stuff like spark plugs and wires/dist. cap.) and minimal labor to install (all of which I could have done myself). I told the shop that $2000 was just unaffordable, and if I only paid the $360 I had pledged earlier, could I have my car back so I could fix those fewer items myself. They said yes, but they wouldn't reinstall the cars transmission. They would merely place the disassembled transmission in back of the car, and give us the keys. Well what good would a car with no transmission in it be? So I asked him how much to put it back in place so we could drive it out of there. He quoted me approx. $850. Mind you that this would entail ZERO work being done on the car to fix it. So at this point I was stuck between and rock and a hard place. Either I have to eat $850 and fix elsewhere, or I pay them the $2000 to fix it all. I could have gotten the minimal fixed to make the car operational, but we were deceived into fixing a lot more that wasn't necessary at the time. The point is, I asked them to be honest and fair, and they said they would, but all I got was a deception and lies. I would never recommend these people again, and I hope this review will save others from the crooked mechanics at All Transmission World. read more

Please DO NOT waste your time with this business! My wife went there to check our transmission since they offer "free estimates". Rusty made her sign a paper that basically made her pay $362.00 just only for bringing down the transmission. Later he quoted $2600.00 and when I refused to pay for it and asked to put it back he was extremely rude and disrespectful; he even hung up the phone on me. I have a 2005 ram 1500 and anyone who knows dodge ram trucks they know the trannies aint worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on, after calling a few shops and getting haggeld I decided to go with All transmission world not only for the courtesy they provided me with, they fixed my truck in just a few days and I carry a 3 year warranty on this tranny A++++ and my truck runs great no hard shift anymore read more

AVOID! They broke my car! they caused so much more damage to my car. I had to spend so much money to pay a talented mechanic to fix all of the mistakes ATW made! Horrible Horrible.... they are classic sales people, and know how to get you in, but save yourself time, money, and frustration and go elsewhere.. they're warranty's are bogus too! Don't pay more for their warranty, because they wont honor it, or they'll take your car to 'fix' it, but they don't actually do anything to it. read more
