New management Same old tricks I took my car in for a radiator in December as an emergeny I would have had to wait another week just to get my car in at my usual shop. While I am grateful they could get a new radiator put in as quickly as they did. That's when my long list of other issues began. before my car was even out of the bay, they tried getting me for a wate4r pump,, which had just been put in 11 months prior along with the tension pulley both under warrenty by my usual shop. The oil filter had been loosened and flowed oil into my starter shorting that out, cuts appeared in the power cable running to the starter were now there,.An impact crack on the ignition coil pack was now there causing another issue. and a power charging drain which i can't find the source of. I had a friend recheck for other issues to see if we found everything and his opinion was they were either "less than careful " or these issues were a deliberate attempt for repeat business. Friendly & Phenomenal. Especially During COVID. Long story short, I've never had a good mechanic who made me feel like family even though I have connections via my inner and external family. Phillip from All Tune & Lube Automotive was beyond awesome and hospitable and GREAT at customer service. I've had 4 jobs and all were neutral at best but I know good and bad and even just plain neutral customer service between both workers and customers and vice versa. This man is flawless at what he does. I had minor issues with my Chevy Equinox (2016) and it escalated over a week from simple small things, both electrical and mechanical, to my car LITERALLY stalling and shutting off/losing power in a grocery store parking lot (Aldi's lol). Glad I wasn't on the highway on my way to work at that moment, right? External family referred me to this place which has a GREAT location on Hall/59 and also next to Heydenreich Rd (who knows how to spell that by heart? - I bet Philip does!) it's on the south side of Hall and west of Heydenreich. He (Phillip) was so informative/intelligent, had endless knowledge to give, and didn't shed a glimpse of annoyance or judgment over my "I'm dumb I don't know anything about cars" type of persona. Besides being great at his job, with customers, treating me like family, and being professional, he also: *Got me as many deals/coupons he could (price down!) *Helped and answered EVERY question (ask a lot) *Informed me of all his services (oil changes? Going here for LIFE!!! Bulb replacement? "Oh we just did it no charge but I did add this minor fee.") SO MANY SERVICES IN SUCH A SMALL BUILDING!!! *Close to my home - not a benefit for everyone but I KNOW if I didn't feel safe in my car, and didn't want to drive far, I could safely while also slowly get to AT&LA without an issue. And there's a lot of homes by me and in my area that could say the same!!! (Hall and Card) *Even more I can't think of right now. It's in a white building strip plaza. In the middle of all the other businesses, kinda hard to notice. There's a decently sized waiting room which provides minor conveniences like toys for kids and 2-3 seats. (COVID has things different as I've never been here regularly) Price was amazing compared to what others could have said I owed. Major friendly factor! Great location. I can't even begin to explain all of the ways that Phillip, and the others I met at his business, excelled at their jobs. A woman I met and briefly conversed with was nice as well. Good and positive energy all around. Also very COVID cautious, safe, compliant, and masks are worn. Also, Phillip and his coworkers fixed my car which included 2-3 moderately bad issues and a dozen or so minor things in 2 days! Day one was when I got the car there at around 1pm. It was done by the same time the next day but it would be said to have taken "2 days." But I'm sure I got it there on a Monday and back on a Tuesday so all the cars he got or stared or anything from the previous week and weekend he got done in a day and then worked on mine after? WOW! Only main complaint would be... and I truly had to think for a minute.... ummmmmmmm like I'm not joking. It's a reach but I'd say they're a small business and may/do get booked up fast like this isn't the place you can come across one day hoping for a 10-20 minute mile oil change same day. It isn't a big company. But that matters! Plan ahead and call 1-2 weeks to prepare (we could all be a little more prepared) and go there. Endlessly grateful for now having a good mechanic. We can all, and should all, strive to be as kind and humble as Phillip. The world may be on fire in a sense, but we don't have to always be a society in a mass panic. DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. ITS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I took my car to Phil at All Tune and Lube recently bc my caliper bolt feel out and seized my passenger tire up while driving down Hall Rd. I know one of the employees and thought that they would take care of me bc of that. I was so wrong. Not only did it take them days to get my car back to me but after numerous attempts if them ordering the correct bolts they ended up not being the correct ones at all. When I recieved my car back it had a shake to it from the passenger side that was never there before. Phil told me that I needed to get my tires balanced. I took out immediately to the tire shop and did this. Two weeks later with new tires all around my car was still shaking. It took it in again to another shop. Well to my surprise they had to replace the caliper bolts that I just paid for with Phil. Phil ordered the wrong bolts and now Im out the $75.00 I paid Phil. This time my car has been fixed correctly. It took the other shop less then 24 hours to fix my car. PHIL AT ALL TUNE AND LUBE IS A ABSOLUTE HACK! My defroster went in the middle of winter. I called All Tune to see what their availability was and how long it would take. Phil took the car in immediately and had his mechanic look into it. Within 30 minutes Phil contacted me back with answers and solutions. He was able to have my defroster back up and working within the same day. I could not have been happier. My father, who's also a mechanic, did not have the proper equipment to look at the vehicle. He was astonished with the service and price it took to replace my AC compressor.
