I've been here at least 4 times, 2 times with minor issues, 2 others with pretty major issues, each time being able to fix them for a reasonable price. The most recent time i accidently messed up my own transmission, but he did exactly what he needed to do and no extra to get it back running. I love how transparent they are, they tell you exactly what's wrong and anything else that could go wrong for the future. They genuinely want to get your car fixed. My mom's also been coming here for all of her car issues and they do a great job with her car. Highly recommend this place for any repairs you have, they'll take care of you! read more

BEWARE... My car broke down in front of this location so I had asked them to take a look at it. They informed me that I needed my rear wheel bearings replaced as well as my brakes and rotors. They quoted me $2000. I declined them repairing it and informed them that I would have it towed out of there. When I called up there to let them know that I had a tow truck on the way I was informed that it would cost me $1000 for having them look at it. I then went up to the shop and noticed that they had it up on the hoist, and taken apart. Therefore, I was not able to have it towed out of there. When I asked them why it was taken apart they said that the woman I had spoke with told them that I gave them the go ahead. (I seriously must have told her at least 10 times that I was not paying $2000 and I would take it somewhere else.) When she was confronted, she had nothing to say. We came to an agreement that they would charge me $1200 and I would purchase the brakes and rotors. I then received a call from them that they were unable to get the one wheel bearing pressed and that I would have to find a loaded knuckle. I had purchased that and brought it to them. They had called and told me that the car was ready and I asked what the adjusted amount was, since I had to end up purchasing one of the wheel bearings myself in which I was told that they were not adjusting the price at all, And that it would still be $1200. Not even a week later, I still felt shaking and took the car to a different shop, and was informed that the upper and lower control arms on both sides, inner and outer tie, rods on both sides, struts and front brakes and rotors all needed to be replaced costing at least another $3000. I then took it for a second opinion and was told the same thing. Had I been informed of this I would have never spent the $1800 in repairs to the rear. I am now out $2000 between repair and tow truck fees. I had read several positive reviews about this place, but then learned that at the beginning of the year the owners had retired and it was under new ownership now. I highly recommend that you consider taking your vehicle somewhere else. read more

We've been taking our vehicles to Shadowoods for quite some time, and I've got say, as a woman, it's really hard to know who you can trust when getting your car repaired. Many shops take advantage of women because they think we don't know any better. Shadowoods is NOT one of those places! They are honest, hard working and reputable. They've been a part of Roseville's business community that has lasted all these years. Why? Simply because they do good work, the entire staff is kind, courteous and knowledgeable, especially Lena. She always has a welcoming smile and is one of the most down to earth, caring person you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. She really made my experience at Shadowoods a positive one. Great fuel prices here. Today, they are a Marathon brand. They also do all sorts of auto repairs, and have been at this location for as long as I can remember. They offer an $18.95 oil change with a 20 point inspection. read more

I hired them to tune up my vehicle and the first rain after they did the vehicle wouldnt start. Turns out they had managed to crack the distributor cap. Denied any culpability, so I found a decent mechanic to repair their work. Dont trust any of them, they prey on the elderly. Whatever they once were they arent anymore!! read more

I went there to make an appointment for an oil change; and i was told it would cost $55. After the 30 minute oil change they charged me $68. $55 for the oil, $3.50 for the filter, $4.22 for Hazardous Materials and $2 to top off the fluids and shop supplies. I didn't appreciate the $10 of extras charges; the original quote for the job should have been an all inclusive quote. After a few emails and a phone call from Shadowoods they explained to me why the final price was different from the original quote. It was very nice to see a company that wants to make sure every costumer is satisfied. They earned my business back. read more

Took my corvette here for new shocks. Extremely friendly staff and were very careful with my car. Service with a smile I would call it! The young mechanic that did the work (wish I knew his name) was especially friendly and complimentary of my older car. I like positive attitude type people in life. He is certainly one of them!
