DO NOT GO HERE! Items were STOLEN from my car. Overall I had an awful experience. They took the license plate off my car, then proceeded to lose it. They told me to email them. It's been over two weeks and i've not heard back from them. Every single time I called (before they finally told me they lost my plate) they brushed me off saying the manager would call me back in 10 minutes. I never got a call back. This place cost me hundreds of dollars between getting a new license plate and replacing all the stolen items from my car. The lack of care was so obvious. They said my car was locked and I don't believe it. When I mentioned stuff was missing from my car the guy said "Crackheads must have gotten it." This establishment was extremely unprofessional in the way they handled me and my situation. This was also all before they were able to work on my car because it was deemed to be totaled. I've been going to Auto Clinic for years, and up until recently I always felt like they were one of the more honest and reliable car repair shops in the Metro Detroit area. Because of that history, it's especially disappointing to write this review. I recently brought my car in for repairs. I understand my vehicle has multiple issues and that repairs can be expensive, but this experience felt very different from what I've come to expect from them. The pricing didn't feel transparent, and some of the charges seemed excessive. For example, I was charged $700 for a pair of tires that I later found out I could have purchased elsewhere for significantly less. What bothered me most was the interaction at the counter. The clerk repeatedly tried to sign me up for financing, even though I wasn't comfortable with that. At one point, he was asking me to input my Social Security number without even clearly showing me the paperwork or explaining what I was signing up for. The whole interaction felt very transactional and pressured in a way that made me uncomfortable. Because I've trusted this shop for years, this experience was really disappointing. While the workers were cordial, they were disingenuous with the information provided to her and, I believe, took advantage of of her because she paid several thousand dollars, and still has issues with her car. I recommend taking a man with car knowledge if you choose to use this garage. I hate that I wasn't able to protect her before it was too late. Buyer beware. Worked on the vehicle with no authorization. They had the vehicle 78 days and then threatened to have it impound if not picked up in two days. They lied to my insurance company about the status of the repairs. They were paid over $17,000 for repairs and couldn't give me a minute to make arrangements to pick it up. I didn't complain about the lack of authorization. I didn't call and complain about the 78 days. Just let them do their thing. They just went south as soon as the vehicle was ready, and they were paid in full. STAY FAR AWAY. Post edit. The vehicle was towed to my house. Still in shock over had horrible the workmanship is. Orange peel paint. Paint all over the rim. They actually sprayed the car with the trim on. Mismatched tires. Even sprayed the tires. Horrible alignment. This vehicle had 17k miles. They ruined it. I took my truck and about a month ago and told them "I'm pretty sure it's my transmission" to start there. They called me and told me it wasn't my transmission that it was $2,000 to fix what the problem is I said okay when they were done I got an additional $1,000 worth of work. I picked my truck up and called (Dave) the next day. He said bring the truck back up, I did just that. He called me and told me to come pick my truck up again & He said "it must be the transmission". I always give a place the benefit of a doubt until I see the work a business performs. I took my car in at the beginning of January because it wasn't starting up all the way. It was a week before I picked it up and when I did I was told that it was the crank sensor and that all was well. He said that they're not there to take advantage of customers and that they always want to make sure that all is well with the car before returning it which I can appreciate hearing. However when I picked up the car I DID NOT expect the bill to come to over $1000. Towing was included within this which was $100, insane being that I live 4 min away from the place. However two days later the same exact problem begins happening again. I have it towed there again, this time by AAA, and this time they kept my car for 2 1/2 weeks. I called to see what was going on and he told me that he's been throwing all kind of parts at it to see what's going on with it. Finally I got a call that it was ready and he told me that he really didn't do anything but take the new crank sensor out and swap out the old one back and forth to see what happens and he said it started right up and told me that he wasn't gonna charge me anything. Rightfully so. Honestly, it took 2 1/2 weeks of doing nothing to tell me that? After picking it up he tells me that if it happens again to give him a call the following week and to leave a review. That's not a statement I want to hear. Didn't plan on leaving this kind of review. As a first time paying customer why would I bring my vehicle back to you when you couldn't fix it the first 2 times? The same day I pick it up this time, the problem happens AGAIN an hour and a half later. I call him and tell him and he's lost for words on what the problem could be. I told him I was really, really hoping this was gonna be fixed. And he responds "yeah you and me both". UNACCEPTABLE. What kind of answer is this? I suggest certain things and he explains that it couldn't be what I was suggesting, but didn't offer any concrete answers on what it would be and how to fix it. If you've been working on cars as long as you say then you should know what you're doing and how to resolve the problem. No excuses. This is your profession and occupation, this is what you do. My $1000 all for nothing and straight down the drain. Ironically when my car was towed there the first time an older gentlemen was picking up his car and when he went outside to get in his car, he then came right back inside to hand the guy at the counter his keys saying "it's doing it again, the problem is still there". The guy at the desk was surprised. I should've taken that as a warning. I had high expectations when first coming to this establishment but I will NOT be coming here again and will not recommend anyone else to come here. I took my car to another place right after this that I've been doing business with for some years now and 3 days later my problem has been resolved. They even explained in detail other things that were causing the problem, and that could lead to future problems that Auto Clinic did not explain. All the upbeat friendly, positive "that's not how we do business, we want to make sure your car is fixed, not a problem" talk goes out the window when you can't fix my car problem the first 2 times and keep it for a total of 3 weeks. DON'T DO IT! I had a water pump and a timing belt changed here for $2800. Immediately after I got my car from those guys, my car started driving awful. It was jerking every time I wanted to drive with more than 45 m/h. My car was unsafe. I took my car for an inspection at a different place to find out that the guys at Auto Clinic Eastpoint DID NOT PUT BACK (all of them, not even one) the valves for my engine. So oil started getting in my engine which messed up 2 of my valves and 1 coil. That would have been about $1600 repair. I took back my car to the guys from Auto Clinic Eastpoint, showed them the pictures of the inspection, and asked them if they will fix it because it was crystal clear it was their fault. The agreed but still tried to charge me "...only $200...". Long story short, my car continued to drive awful and it was not safe. I took my car back to get an inspection (another $100). My timing belt was not aligned properly when the guys from the Auto Clinic Eastpoint changed it. That could have resolved in the belt breaking which would have destroyed my engine and we all know that repair like this is not cheap at all. On the other hand, in such an invent would have been a risk for my life and anybody who may be in my car or around it. DO NOT TRUST THOSE GUYS WITH YOUR CAR. Repairing somebody's car is not a joke. You put people's lives in danger if something goes wrong because you thought you can fix something you had no idea how to fix. read more

The fact that I been going here for just oil changes and they never give me false information about my car and if I did not understand anything they will help you understand and take their time. Do not go to this place for any reason. They will try to get every bit of money out of you and do sub par work. I paid almost $1k for a repair job and no less than a month and a half later, the problem came back. Been going to Auto Clinic for about 6 yrs. I've always been pleased with the caliber of work and the reasonable costs.

This place is a joke I took my car here for years and shame on me for letting it go on as long as it did. I am not mechanically inclined whatsoever but I do know some things like oil changes and doing brakes calipers rotors etc.. On multiple times I have received my car in worse condition than I give it to them in, I drive for a living so my vehicles very important to me when I have to drop my car off to get fixed 2 times in one week for the same issue you know something's not right, when my car was leaking antifreeze and then got it back and it was coming out as fast as you can put it in, but honestly the straw that broke the camels back was the fact that I did my own brakes and I had a small leak in my brake line that I could not fix myself, upon receiving my car back I learned that they never bothered to put the bolts back in my caliper which was banging against my rotor and snapped it in half, this should be kindergarten shit to a mechanic and yet I have to spend even more money getting my car fixed again.
