My 3-year-old fell down right outside the practice this morning and cut his hand open. He was sobbing as we walked in to ask for a Band-Aid. The woman at the front desk (at a doctor's office!) flatly told us no. Another patient in the waiting room was so disturbed that she followed us outside to apologize and said it was unconscionable that they wouldn't give my son a Band-Aid. She suggested we try the pharmacy inside the Giant next door. The pharmacy staff immediately helped, gave my son a Band-Aid, and asked if we needed anything else. A medical practice that refuses a crying 3-year-old a Band-Aid... Who does that? read more

Front desk staff is not great and can be rude at times but Dr. Alisa Miller is a wonderful human being and doctor who will always take the time to listen to your issues, suggest practical tips and advice, and provide the help you need. She is the only reason why I keep coming back here. read more

I was calling them ask for HVB vaccine and they said it available. Then I went in they said not available. It needs to refund money for me $140 because did not see doctor or done anything. But a lady in reception told me I need a prescription to get vaccine and was call my pharmacy ask something and later my pharmacy said not available in store either. But I just had no idea about that because no experience . So finally see doctor because my job requires to have it. I got prescription from doctor on my hand. I knew my pharmacy not available. I decided to go one pharmacy near by and they said I don't need prescription just come in and ask for it also cost lower than ALLCARE primary . Careful here scam you. Went as a walk-in patient a week ago (approximately 11AM on 2/17/26) because I wasn't feeling well and needed to be seen by urgent care. The signs outside their building say "urgent care" and "walk-ins welcome". However, upon giving my insurance information to the receptionist, I was told that they were not actually urgent care but a primary care facility, so they couldn't treat me because I already had a primary care doctor. I was turned away without any help despite telling them I was feeling faint and had driven myself there, and had to find and go to a different facility on my own. read more

I have debated whether or not to post this review, and after weeks of thought, have decided that I must do it for other individuals who are LGBTQIA+. If you are a member of that community, I would avoid this practice. I recently saw a doctor at the Duke location. During a discussion about prep, I subsequently told this doctor that I am not presently very sexually active, but still take prep because I worry about sexual assault and coercion. This doctor subsequently implied, in very clear terms, that LGBTQIA+ folks only take prep because we are so sexually ravenous that we can't control ourselves and we want to avoid consequences of our actions. He completely dismissed that there might be any reason to take prep to prevent spread of HIV during something like sexual assault or other non-consensual sex. Because of this doctor, my prep has been interrupted by a matter of weeks and I have severe difficulties in trusting medical professionals. The trauma of this interaction was so great that it actually caused me to consider not seeing medical professionals at all anymore. If this practice is truly going to benefit all people, it is absolutely necessary that doctors begin cultural sensitivity training, and that doctors who express negative stereotypes about their patients be removed from the practice. Until then, it will continue to be a practice that is unsafe for many people. read more

Where would our vacations be without our annual trip to the local urgent care. This location is beside Giants supermarket in Alexandria, VA. This was around 1pm on Thursday, no one else was in waiting area. Attendant said 45 minute wait but it was less than 10 minutes. Seen by a nurse practitioner and nurse. Swabbed for flu & Covid, Covid came back positive. Our mini-vacation was cut short after this. Got in and out lickety split. Picked up meds next door at Giants pharmacy. read more

Made apmt easily on website with Dr Miller at Duke St in Alexandria for an annual - and saw her exactly on sched as planned. She's terrific - and seems to follow the "treat the patient" idea instead of the "treat the ailment" approach - which I consider terrific! Don't go. I had an appointment for a yearly physical at their Richmond Hwy address. I got email confirmations and texts for my appointment at that address - and YET when I showed up at the Richmond Hwy address I found the office closed. I proceeded to the Duke St. address to get my physical only to find out that they couldn't see me and that my appointment had not ported over. No apology, I was told I had to online and try to make a new appointment. Still getting emails and texts from the Richmond Hwy location even though they are closed. While I was there any elderly lady was there needing urgent care for an infected cut. They just kept telling her that they didn't have time or staff to see her and that she should go to the hospital. Doctors and nursing staff are fine but practice management is awful. read more

I was seen by Jakeline Merino on a Sunday. I was diagnosed and told that my prescription would be sent to my pharmacy. I called my pharmacy after a few hours and was told they had not received the prescription. When they still didn't have my prescription on Monday, I went in person to AllCare since they do not answer their phone or respond to voicemails in a timely manner. I was told that only the person who saw me could call in the prescription and she was not in the office that day. On Tuesday, I was told that the prescription was resent to my pharmacy, but the pharmacy did not receive it. After multiple unanswered voicemails, I went to another clinic to get my diagnosis and prescription. It is now Thursday and I never heard back from AllCare. read more

I was informed at the Duke st AllCare office that Medicare..(and I have Part A and B) no longer covers cholesterol test or diabetes test as part of an annual check up. I was given a form to sign agreeing to pay $270.00 if my supplemental insurance refused the bill. read more

This morning, I took my husband to AllCare since the sign on the window and door states that walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is needed. The receptionist advised us that they do not take walk-ins when they have appointments scheduled, and they had no availability. I would advise AllCare to remove the language from their window, door, and website stating that walk-ins are welcome. Very disappointing. read more

I had an ankle injury and went here based on a recommendation from a friend. Arrived about 8:30am on a weekday to an empty waiting room, which I thought was a good sign. Unfortunately, the receptionist said there were no walk-in appointments available. She asked what I needed to be seen for and I told her about my ankle injury. She apologized and said they don't have x-rays at that location. She recommended a different urgent care a couple miles away that does have x-ray machines. The good: Very friendly receptionist who is willing to refer patients to competitors if appropriate. The bad: No walk in availability, no x-ray capability. read more

I have so much to say 1) this is the only doctor's office in my life that I've gone to multiple times and had my care flat out refused. Spending 2 hrs on a physical trip to the doctor only to have them not even let you in the door -- multiple times. 2) It's the only doctor's office in my life that's left my wife sick and without medicine because of their administrative horrors. I have several terrible anecdotes to add to this review 3) fact that when you send a message to a doctor on their portal, the doctor might not even sees the message. The office staff makes the medical decision of forwarding it or not. 4) MISSED REFILLS. YOU WILL RUN OUT OF MEDICINE! I've run out of medicine several times because my pharmacy's automated refill messages are ignored. I can only assume this is because the front staff didn't deal with it properly. Why are doctor's not reading their own messages? 5) I just received an annoying too early in the morning phone call with an annoying voicemail telling me that i shouldn't be asking dr. Heda questions in private messages and should be seeing her in person. For the life of me I can't know what question I even asked, so this was experienced by me as allcare basically bothering me in the morning to tell me to fuck off. Receiving a voicemail basically telling me not to message my doctor is HORRIBLE customer service. Allcare paid for the portal and are telling patients not to use it. Not cool on allcare's part. I'm going to have to update my already-negative public review about allcare to include that you basically wake people up in the morning with rude voicemails telling them not to use the fucking portal you require them to use. You advertise features like a convenient portal to get new patients, then the patients use your features and you leave annoying early,morning voicemails telling them not to? What? 6) Meanwhile, the portal sends "new test result" emails so often you end up never looking at them. Some of them are for test results a year old. WTF? 7) I've gone in and had them do the wrong blood order and not had important bloodwork prior to a surgery because they f'ed up. I scheduled an appointment for 0800, have confirmation, and there was nobody there. I waited for 30 minutes after my scheduled time and nobody showed up. Beyond peeved. I was unable to call or leave a message. If you decide to book an appointment here, think again. You will not get seen and will have no way to reach out to them. So far I am satisfied with Allcare and the services of my PCP Dr. Aparna Raikar. I was skeptical at first but was in desperate need of a new PCP. I made my appointment through zoc doc and had no issues. Once you are an established patient it's so simple to make appointments online. As for their online portal, I can assure you that you will get a quick response from the doctors/specialists. Also love that I can use the portal to refer to medical history if I were to go to an ER. Convenience is key for me since I'm always on the go so I have found these features to be extremely beneficial. As for my doctor. I probably scared her at first but because she has the best bedside manners I will never know. Dr. Raikar is very gentle and patient. I truly feel like she took the time to listen to my needs. Thanks to her I was able to see an endocrinologist within a day of getting my referral. She has also taken the time to listen to my family history and concerns. She has referred me to several other specialists that all have a relationship with Allcare- love this because they have all my medical history so all I have to do is show up to my appointment on time. Overall very satisfied with the services and bed side manners of the staff. The office is well maintained and the 4 times I've had an appointment I've been seen almost immediately. read more

I have a history of blood clots. My knee was hurting me. I saw on their website they do ultra sounds. I go in and before checking me in I tell them why I am there. The front desk lady goes and asks if they can see me in the back. She says yes and I'm relieved because I didn't want to go the ER. They take me back. The doctor asks me questions then instead of giving me an ultra sound - refers to me a radiology place. That couldn't see me until Tuesday. It was Thursday. I'm pissed because they knew they couldn't do the scan but still saw me, took my co pay and now I owe 150$ more for my deductible. I still ended up in the ER. They knew what they were doing and it screams predatory to me. Also, they get two stars instead of 1 because they did see me fast. So kudos for that I guess read more

Impossible to get them to answer a phone at the Duke St location. In March, my wife went to them to get blood pressure meds refilled. Days later, still no prescription at pharmacy. Luckily, Safeway gave her an emergency allotment, twice. Days later, still no call back, and still no scrip. My wife went in to the waiting room, sat there and noticed that the phone, which never gets answered, never even rings. Turns out it's routinely off the hook. Fast forward to this week, my wife asks to see the Dr, with severe stomach pain. First call was virtual, and the Dr wasn't available for an appointment. She went in the next morning, and sat and waited. Dr finally scheduled her to go for a scan the next day. She goes for the scan, and the Dr doing the scan tries, repeatedly to contact the referring doctor. No contact and no call back had Dr. Scan tell her she needs to go directly to the ER. No indication of why, just "go directly to ER". She tried reaching Allcare while she waited at the ER. Never got a call back, or a human voice. 5 Hours in the ER!!! When and Inova doctor looked over the scan, they couldn't find a reason for the panic and as both the Allcare doctor, and the scan doctor were checked out, she was sent home. Today, I phoned and voiced my displeasure to one of the main switchboard folks. He was empathetic enough, and was typing back and forth with someone from "management". My request to speak directly to that "manager" was rebuffed. I was told I would get a call back. In keeping with the Allcare standard, I'm still waiting for any type of call. Honestly, for the fees charged, having a person actually return a phone call isn't some luxury request. read more

Front desk said give me your id/insurance card and debit card. Why you need my debit card for? Ohh because we Accept this insurance but that particular one we don't accept. But I gave you all the info in the 8 hours ago my insurance etc , you could have told me that time, sorry we don't accept your insurance. I could have gone some where else. Allcare refused to see me in person when I was sick. The doctor conducted a virtual appointment and clearly was only interested in determining if I had any symptom associated with Covid. He order a Covid test for me and ended the appointment - that was it. After I tested negative, they still refused an in-person appointment and said they don't take sick visits. What kind of "urgent care" won't see a sick patient? In my opinion all this place cared about was billing my insurance. read more

I was told to prepare for a follow-up blood test, got there and waited over an hour beyond scheduled appointment time. I saw the doctor, doctor decided that I didn't need a blood test based on information already available prior to appointment , and despite me preparing for one after being told I was to have one, ultimately charged me over $100 for a useless visit, just to wait around and have my basic vitals checked. From making an appointment (that provider doesn't see children) to the front desk (wait, you mean someone's actually supposed to sit in those chairs and not just hang out in back and chit-chat?) to office management (what's that?) and providers (no, gagging my child during a throat culture causing them to vomit is not how it's done), even prescriptions (third time's a charm). This is my second visit to this clinic. I was able to book online and get in pretty quickly. Clinic is clean, staff is friendly and professional. Great location. My first visit I had to take from my car because I put down "sinuses" instead of allergies, so with the current pandemic ... I was not allowed in the building, so I had to do a virtual visit. Dr. K was amazing. She said I just had allergies and I was good to go. My second visit was with Dr. Miller. She is absolutely the best. I'm writing this review because in all my years in using an Urgent care unit, this was by far the worst experience I have endured by a physician office. I was referred to the the office at 6288 Arlington Blvd in Falls Church after going to the office office on Duke Street. The Duke Street Office made an apt for me at the Falls Church office for 2:45 pm. I arrived early, the receptionist told me to complete the registration form on my phone. So i did but it took longer than I had thought it would. When done I handed my form back to receptionist only for her to tell me my grace period expired and I would have to wait until the doctor could work me in. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour while they kept taking people back to see the doctor. While I sat there with a respiratory infection and asthma. When ask again when would I see the doctor she said I would have to wait until they could slot me in. I left and called the insurance company to file a complaint against the office. I would encourage anyone to look elsewhere for treatment read more

Worse patient experience EVER. I made an appointment for an ongoing headache at the top of my head. I arrived on time and they took me back within minutes for my scheduled 9am appointment. The doctor arrived within minutes. Our entire conversation was her introduction of her name followed by "what brings you in today." That's as far as my appointment went. This is where her cell phone rang and she stepped out to take the call AND NEVER RETURNED. At 9:27 I grabbed my stuff and left the exam room and see her sitting comfortably in a chair in the next room making plans for later in the week. At this point she stands up when she sees that I see her but doesn't end her call until I made it to the front desk. Which is when the person who recorded the blood pressure and temperature that "she is ready now". Good for her...I left. Will NEVER schedule an appointment with this "doctor" EVER again. I don't care what the wait time for an appointment will be as long as it's not with this one. read more

When my primary care provider left a large corporate practice I decided to try Allcare because : AllCare posts their prices on their website and I believe price transparency is a necessary step in lowering healthcare costs; the clinic had generally good reviews; convenient location; and they have Primary Care/Women's Health/Urgent Care (the wholistic aspect was appealing). However after two visits I will not return. I am single, never married, no kids. Also very healthy; normal BMI, no hypertension, high cholesterol or diabetes. I exercise, eat right, don't smoke. I went to a physical and then for a cervical cancer screening/pap (no symptoms). At the physical I was tested for HIV and at the screening tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea w/out any discussion. I have been tested for both in the past (also w/out symptoms/exposures/risk facts) but the other providers always asked me first. Both providers disapproved of my decision to skip the mammogram for fear of overdiagnosis despite the fact I am in my 40s with no risk factors. At the physical I discussed my very brief medication list (with documentation) and explained I used the inhaled steroid PRN only when I had upper respiratory symptoms as I almost always develop 4-6 week of bronchitis after a cold until I started using Flovent for 1-2 weeks at the start of a sore throat, cough, congestion, ect. I have not had bronchitis once since I started using Flovent PRN. She responded I should just use albuterol. I explained the inhaler provided minimal relief, my bronchitis is severe resulting in no sleep for at least a month due to severe coughing, and twice it turned into bacterial bronchitis requiring antibiotics. She said Flovent is an expensive medication. It is less than $20/month when you use it for 4-8 weeks/year. It also prevents unnecessary clinic visits and antibiotics as well as greatly improves my quality of life. At the cancer screen I explained I was just there for the pap. No symptoms, no exposures, no medical concerns. She starts talking about the huge spike in STDs during COVID, completely unrelated to why I was there. I repeated I had no exposures or symptoms and was just there for the exam. She handed me a paper sheet and left. A sheet, not a gown. The exam was long and uncomfortable. She said during the exam "have you had a lot of discharge?" 100% false. For a third time I said no symptoms, no exposures, just here for the cancer screen. Then she messaged me and said my CTGN and culture were negative (which she never informed me she was testing for). Nothing about the cytology and HPV, which was the enter reason I made the visit. I am going back to the big corporate practice. They don't post their prices but at least they treat me with respect. read more

the wor place you can go to be treated because after they do nothing they send you a bill that will make you sicker. with insurance and got a bill for 380$ for a splinter on my heal the only reason why I went there was because it was too hard to reach, the young doc without even gloves for 5 mins tried to remove it nothing came out I was still in pain and couldn't walk on it for a day till I went and got a prof pedicure that paid only 40$ absolutely unprofessional and will use your insurance and send you a bill for $$$$ ridiculous I will never go there again and will let everybody know about their unjust services. read more

I am still in shock about how horrible Dr. Joglekar was during my visit. I came in on a Sunday for a rash (TMI, but fairly relevant) that had suddenly gotten a lot worse. His first words when he walked into the room was to berate me for not having a primary care doctor and that he didn't understand why I wasn't seeing my primary care doctor for this problem. I have no idea where this came from since I do have a primary care doctor who I see regularly. Unfortunately I did not have the chance to tell him this until he was finished with his rant. In my experience, most primary care physicians do not have Sunday office hours so I have no idea where this came from but I digress. It seemed like he had no idea what was going on and that he took no time to actually review my chart. Most of the visit was him insulting and belittling me, as well as him insulting one of his colleagues. I ended up in tears (not an easy accomplishment) and had to leave in the middle of the visit when he left the room to call in my prescription. I am not exaggerating when I say this is not only the worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office but this was one of the worst interactions I have ever had with another human being. The extent of his aggression was actually to the point where I was frightened to be in the same room as him. There was not another provider working so the woman at the front desk was nice enough to send us to another office where I could see another doctor. That was a great experience and this doctor picked up on a lot more than Dr. Joglekar did. In fact, the other doctor went over some very significant side effects of the medication that Dr. Joglekar did not bother to mention. I do want to say that this review is only applicable to Dr. Joglekar. I have nothing but great things to say about all of the other staff and (prior to my visit with Dr. Joglekar) I actually had such a great experience with the PA that I was going to switch to him as my new primary care provider. Overall, Dr. Joglekar seems like a loose cannon and, in my opinion, a liability to this otherwise great practice. read more

Dr. Miller is awesome! I needed a physical and a form completed detailing the results of the physical. My primary care doctor had a wait of 90+ days for that type of visit. I was able to make an appointment right away with this location, they can take the labs right there and I had my completed form within a couple of business days. I was so impressed with the efficiency of the practice and Dr. Miller that I am considering switching to this practice as a primary care. read more

Misdiagnosed a minor injury. Doctor seemed inexperienced. I don't think I would go back here.

I had a telemedicine appointment scheduled. Got on the call promptly. No doc. After 20 minutes I called. Admin person, probably in a different location, said doctor was busy with other patients. After 70 minutes, I got a message on the screen saying I was late! After 90 minutes the office phoned me and set me up with a different doctor. In short, the doctor I met with previously was excellent but the administration is impersonal and inefficient. read more

This facility was incredible. I was wary because of mixed reviews, but know from working in the medical filed there will always be reviews of all kind regardless of the quality of the facility. And I was pretty desperate. Everything was incredibly clean (very important to me) and organized. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, and I had a female issue and so they matched me with a female physician after vitals. She was INCREDIBLE. Very disarming, knowledgeable and thorough. This place brought me nothing but frustration. I gave them 6 months but it's time to find a new doctor. Reception seldom answers the phone for me, my insurance and my pharmacist so it ends up taking months to get a single prescription filled and meanwhile their billing department will be all over you before your prescription even gets filled. They have absolutely never has returned a voicemail, and when you do get ahold of them it's a lot of being placed on hold until you eventually just hang up. read more

Took my father in for pain in his foot, the doctor wanted blood work so I went ahead and paid for it because the doctor was adamant that it had to do with his diabetes even though he said he was bitten by something. Blood work came back perfect and the doctor said we had to pay another 125$ for her to see him again even though we told her in the beginning we didn't think it was the diabetes. It's a scam here. Be cautious going. They should not be making patients pay full price for another visit if it's the failure of the doctor to pay attention and listen to the patient. I usually don't write reviews & not sure why I started reading these. I been going here for 7 years & see Dr. Mitchell, he is the best!!! The staff is also as awesome as Dr. Mitchell, Dr Mitchell gives you all the time you may need while being seen, (that does not happen today), he also will call you when have results or questions, you never have a long wait in waiting room, you get a apt ASAP never have to wait to see your doctor. I can not understand the negative reviews because all I do is tell people I go to the best Doctor/Office.
