This place is great if you don't value your time. FIVE HOURS for an oil change and a tire rotation. I bought their 3-oil-change deal from Living Social. This deal is how they got in way over their heads. This was basically communicated to me the first time I tried to make an appt and they could only schedule me one month out. That was back in the winter and I decided to hold out and let the dust settle... Now I an finally able to get in and here is my take: (1) they still had to schedule me almost 2 weeks out (2) they run on a first in, first out basis - so when you schedule, you are scheduled not for a time but for "sometime that day" (3) there were four cars ahead of me and they quoted me at 3 hours (4) it actually took FIVE HOURS to complete my oil change and tire rotation Never again, Tilden. This place is in waaaay over their heads, yet I just saw another of these deals offered on a deal-a-day site. Seriously? You're cant handle the current demand and you are going to create more? Was in the middle of a vacation in my motor home, driving through Boulder and my charging started acting up. Pulled in without an appointment but they took a minute and put the meter on and sure enough, alternator was on the fritz. Ordered one for first thing the next morning. I was kinda bitchy because I just put that alternator on six months earlier in Oregon (but knew it wasn't ever working quite right). When the staff at Tilden heard that, they did some quick research and found out it was under warranty by Napa Parts and got the part for free. They didn't have to do that. It saved me $200! Don't do it. I took my car into Tilden to have the snow tires mounted and balanced and they forgot to tighten the lug bolts on one of the real wheels. We were in heading to the mountains for skiing that evening. We heard some rumbling noises and I checked the tires but all seemed OK but noise got progressively worse. Finally I had my wife look out the window as we drove and she saw the wheel wobbling. So at 10:30 pm on a cold, icy, moutain road I had to jack up the car and fix the tire. One lug nut was missing and the other 4 were loose. Everybody makes mistakes and this was a pretty serious one but what made things worse was the owner's reaction. He essentially blamed us saying that he had told us the there was stripped stud on the wheel. That was completely untrue. Yes, his mechanic had said that one stud on another wheel was bad but he had mentioned nothing about the right rear. In any case, one loose lug nut would not lead to a loose wheel if all the others were properly tightened. In deed, the lug nuts on the other rear wheel were also somewhat loose. If he had just accepted the responsibility and apologized I could have forgiven the mistake but he was incredibly rude and that was over the top. Finally he also tried to sell me extra work that another, more reliable shop later said was unnecessary. Don't trust this shop. read more

They were able to diagnosis and fix a very tricky issue I was having with my brakes and ended up not charging me for the extra expenses it took to figure out what was going on. I'll trust these guys with all my future repairs. They are a small independent shop so they can get backed up with work but they really know what they're doing and they value your business. My Ford was towed to Allegiance Auto, I had never worked with them nor they with me before. My Explorer is 14 years old and very touchy. I wish I could upgrade but keeping the car I have makes most sense to me. Long story- shorter, my car went in and out of the shop 5 times, in 4 months. It was the most unexpected turn of events ever. But each time I'd pick it up and returned it, more effort and concern grew on their part. My intuition told me to stick with them. I did and my car is running better than ever. I don't know how your experience will go, but I felt I was in the company of friends, real people, honest and utlimately concerned for you and for your safety on the road. This shop is wonderful! Ever since moving to Colorado I've struggled to find a mechanic that I can trust. Most recently I was horribly over, and incorrectly quoted for a completely unnecessary intake repair. It looked pretty sketchy but I didn't know enough to do it myself, I took it to Allegiance and they went through the other shops invoice, checked everything out, confirmed that most of the other quote was padding or incorrect, and got my car running great in time for a road trip. I am so thrilled to have found a shop I can trust, who updates you as the repairs take place, and are genuinely helpful when you have questions. Not only that but they have reasonable rates too. These guys had a lame mechanic who misdiagnosed the clunking noise on my Ford truck. I took it back a 2nd time and they fixed the problem for free - including a whole new drive train! I'm sure the repairs and parts would have cost a few hundred bucks but they did it all for free cause they were really apologetic about not getting it right first time. I went to Tilden because I bought a Living Social deal for 3 oil changes. The first time I went there was a miscommunication about when I was supposed to bring it in but they completed the oil change and that was that. Then I went in for them to check my check engine light and their diagnosis was pretty standard. They wanted me to change the spark plugs (which had been changed less than 6 months ago), the cables to the spark plugs and a basic tune-up. And for all this....$500! Are you kidding me? I talked to a friend of a friend who used to be a certified mechanic and he scoffed at what they suggested because these are easy repairs to make if you have basic car care knowledge. He said that price is ridiculous for the parts and the labor, which would probably take an hour. So I bought the parts at an auto supply store, had a friend install them, and it was under $100. I won't be going back for any more work on my car. read more
