2/5 stars. We were really disappointed. Unfortunately, the last day of our stay we realized there was freakin mold. So gross. Anyways, our sheets were stained and dirty. The shower was also dirty. The rooftop deck and pool closes at 6pm. Why so early? What about a dip in the pool at 9pm? Besides that, the view was amazing and that's really what's carrying this review from not getting 0 stars. The other 1 star is the pool and beach access. Anyways, don't recommend if you wanna spend a lot of money in the summertime. You don't know what you will get‍. In the wintertime it's cheaper and less money, so maybe you won't care as much, about the pool closing so dang early, the mold on the ceilings, some stains on the sheets and a dirty shower. This place is all style no substance. Everything is relatively clean, the beds are nice, and the common areas are okay. That's about where the good ends, which would be fine, if this wasn't a "luxury" hotel claiming luxury prices. Food is, not good. By any standard. And also costs an EXORBITANT amount. Breakfast buffet is $25/person and is pretty much toast eggs and cold cereal. The fire alarm does go off every morning so those reviews are right. Staff is hit or miss, some people at the front desk and bar were great and we tipped accordingly. We had one guy at the front desk tell us our room may be ready at 4:30, when we asked why when check in is at 4 he said "tough". When we waited to speak to another front desk concierge he said "what you want to talk to her for?". For the $400+ a night for a base room, this place is NOT it. This place is an absolute joke, it has broken lights broken air conditioners. If the room wasn't bad enough I'll show pictures below the staff laughed in my face and said too bad. If that's not bad I found another staff member saying this place was terrible and they only take care of some of the rooms. I was about to pay 1000 dollars for a room for 2 nights to stare at garbage and be treated terribly. Bugs in the beds stains broken holes in the walls elevators took 20 minutes Every time. Bar I waited 30-40'mins for a a drink 3rd party booking means absolutely nothing. THIS PLACE WAS TERRIBLEEEEE!!! One star is too many. This hotel is filthy .. the rooms smell, the towels and sheets are dirty, yellow and stained, blood on the drapes, dirty shower drain with hair , dirty door handles, broken toilet, broken lights , scaffolding and construction outside our window that woke us up at 7am. and the list goes on. I've been staying at this hotel every year for the last 4-5 years. It's so relaxing and beautiful. I've recently had a reservation for this past week but had an emergency come up the same day and booking thru a 3rd party isn't always the greatest thing My review today is for JESSICA who went above and beyond with sympathy and patience for my situation to help me figure it all out. She called me back a few times to follow up and did whatever she could do in her end, to help my situation. This hotel really has horrible front desk staff. They never answer the phone to assist. I was trying from 1:45 pm until midnight to get someone to bring staff to fix our sink. Shout out to the night time shift because they actually did something about it. They need hospitality training and customer service classes because it is lacking hard. Don't use the valet parking because it's just a waste. There is no parking garage so just park on the street. For our stay, we had 2 guests and they only give two beach passes. Found that odd since we stated on our reservation there were 3 guests. The location is good for people interested in going to the beach. The pillows are so dense so if you don't like that - bring your own. Overall, I would NOT recommend it as a first choice. read more

My boyfriend and I frequently stay at this hotel and are never disappointed ... Last night we decided to get some drinks down in Long Beach and instead of taking a $100 uber back home and leaving our car there, we decided to look up a room at the Allegria. It was around 1am and Hotel Tonight and Expedia stated no rooms were available (assuming bc it was so late). My boyfriend called the front desk and spoke to Charles, who was SO accommodating and told us to come in and he will set us up with a room. When we walked in, Derwin and Stephanie were at the desk and greeted us with a big smile. Even being so last minute, they set us up in the sickest room there that we've ever stayed in! The room was huge with windows across the entire wall. This hotel has great staff and the cleanliness of the hotel is always up to par. In addition, this hotel has a luxurious rooftop pool with a bar, a gorgeous private event room, and an inside bar/restaurant. Highly recommend coming here to eat or to get some drinks! If you're booking a room, they provide you with beach passes too! read more

Decided to surprise my husband for his birthday with a night at Allegria's king sunset suite. Arrived a little before check in at 4 and the room wasn't ready yet but that's okay since we were the ones who decided to be early. First impression of the hotel was "oooh, this place is fancy and it smells like cotton candy." The front desk receptionist works a tad slow and was a bit unprofessional for my standards but she was pleasant. We got two room keys and a $20 coupon for their restaurant/lounge. $20 seems like a lot but for their prices, $20 between two people got us basically nothing. Like c'mon, at least give $20 per guest. They didn't really enforce masks which made us feel uncomfortable. The staff themselves didn't wear masks neither. We let people without masks go into the elevator first and waited for the next one. By the time we finally got on one, two people without masks squeezed themselves on the elevator with us. Longest elevator ride ever. When we got to our room, I think my first thought was "that's it?" Pictures are truly deceiving lol. I didn't get a cozy, comfortable vibe and was much more narrow in real life. I guess they used wide-lens in the pictures. The floors were all scratched up. The "kitchen" sink was dirty. The countertop for the kitchen was chipped. Half the lights didn't work and the ones that did work, you don't get nearly enough light from. The walls had stains on them. My tissue boxes had about 5 tissues in them before they ran out and we couldn't find anyone to get us replacements. The room didn't have a phone where we could call the front desk or housekeeping. The TVs don't have any major streaming abilities like Netflix or Hulu, they only have set old school channels to choose from. We weren't allowed to open the windows to prevent cool air from escaping and to prevent beach flies... as per the sign that was on the window. The window handles were removed. All my husband wanted to do was to hear the sound of the waves. We ended up YouTube-ing wave sounds lol... For almost $500 a night, you'd think you'll get a little more.. Even something as simple as a garbage can in the common area didn't exist. I had to walk to the bathrooms to throw out my garbage in the tiny cans. The coolest thing about them is their rooftop pool, ocean view, and the ice cream shop directly next to them. TLDR; The king sunset suite was disappointing and we're glad we only booked it for one night. Allegria is an old 2.5 star hotel that tries to mask itself with modern 5 star aesthetics. Don't waste your money on the sunset suite and just get a regular room if you REALLY want to stay here. read more

I left a review prior to this one with various concerns and they were promptly addressed during my stay. a staff member who was very hospitable came to apologize and see how to remedy the stay- he proceeded to bring us the menu from the restaurant and then brought us a comped dinner on behalf of the hotel. it was explained that they're starting with exterior renovations and starting the interior soon. room service will also be added in the future . bell hop service is only available on weekends. with this I left with a better perception of this hotel and would return. great location great food and great staff. they allow a small dog which is amazing. rooftop views are amazing read more

MONEY GRABBERS This hotel charged me half of my stay ($600+) without any notice. Booked in May and there was no charged taken out. My stay is in August. They charged my account the money on June 14 with NO prior notice. This caused an over draft in my account. When I called to speak to the hotel and ask for the charge to be removed until I can be notified or for money to cover the over draft fees I was told sorry that there was nothing to do. I've been giving this place a chance since they opened. I so wanted to have a nice bar / restaurant to bring people to. ... except for the first year it opened, I have always left feeling neglected and underserved. ... My latest try was This Monday. Brought 4 people to the boardwalk and wanted some cocktails and bar food. There were 2 people at the large bar. .. the servers outnumbered the clients, yet no one came for our order... so I went to the bar to order. .. I was told to go back to the table and someone will be right there to take my order. ... another 20 min go by,.. and ... no one!... finally, my out of town guest said " why are we waiting for over an hour to drop a few hundred dollars on cocktails"?... you know what?... she was right. We went to another local place, dropped $450. Bucks and gladly added a 35% tip for the attentive service! .... They have a prime location and this could be a gold mine!... yet it's always a disappointment!... who's watching the inefficient employees?... Done with this place!... what a sad waste!... Stopped in for lunch at the Restaurant on the ground floor. Great view of the boardwalk and the beach. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can say. On a Labor Day weekend, it was unfortunate that they were so understaffed or maybe they are just slow but we had to get up and leave after sitting for more than one hour and not getting our meal. As locals who patronize many of our local restaurants, we will not be going here again any time soon. read more

I hope this finds you very well I have not stayed at the Allegria Hotel, yet (and I am giving 5 stars for now and will change if necessary after I go there), but I will be staying there next Monday and Tuesday nights and I'm going into this with a positive and up beat attitude because I am really looking forward to enjoying all the lovely immenities that the hotel has to offer, like the gym, lounges, rooftop pool with nice lounge area, etc. My only concern so far -- and don't forget that I haven't stayed here yet and I will amend my review after I stay so it is a fair review -- is how unresponsive the Allegria Hotel has been to me the entire time I would try to speak to a person. One time, I had to leave a message on EVERY extension before someone called me back. And that was just so I could ask a payment question. The person who called me gave me a more direct phone number to call the front desk but still, so many times I call and I still leave unheeded voice messages. If the Allegria Hotel can prove it's value while I am staying there (mainly by just doing everything they are supposed to do) then I promise to change the body of this text to reflect that. So I needed a change of scenery but also didn't want to travel- a friend recently mentioned that he had a good experience at this hotel so I decided to give it a shot. Now this review is more of a 3.5, I really wanted to love this place but things just kept happening that didn't make me walk away with the best impression. I do have to stay, customer service was definitely a 4.5, and why I gave this place a 3 and not any lower. They were incredibly helpful on the phone and ready to accomodate what I was looking for. I ended up with one of their suites- you have a lot of options for rooms. When I arrived I noticed social distancing signs, rules for no more than 2 at a time at the elevator and the guy at the front desk was super nice. As I made my way towards the elevator I already noticed a guest who wasn't wearing a mask and just holding her mask, I saw an employee tell her to wear it and that was about it, nothing more was done- I guess that should have been my first red flag. When I got to my room I appreciated there was a sticker on the door showing that it was sanitized, the room looked super clean which is what I always look for even pre-covid times when it comes to hotels. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and brown water came gushing out from both of the sinks- I guess nothing was used in a while but that's something that should have been looked at by the hotel before someone got into the room. I let the water run and as I looked around the bathroom I noticed that a piece of the bathtub was missing- so I couldn't use the bathtub really because it had no way of turning on the small shower that comes there. I had requested a room with a bathtub so this was frustrating. I decided to test the water after seeing the sink and the same thing, brown water came gushing out of the faucet for the bathtub. I called the front desk to notify them the piece was missing/broken and they said they would send someone up- no one ever came. I wanted to be able to use the bathtub not just pay for a room with a bathtub and not be able to use it- so super disappointed in that. I decided to get some food from their restaurant- due to covid, no room service, I get it, not biggie. But when I got to the restaurant there was a huge group of people not wearing masks. I guess because they had an event the hotel let it slide, but if that is the case the hotel should notify their guests that they are not enforcing the mask policy- I take care of individuals who are immunocompromised so this was a terrible situation and I felt incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe. The hotel staff were all present and saw this and they were not addressing all these individuals who were not wearing a mask. It really ruined my whole stay- this was even more frustrating than all the brown water that was coming out of the bathroom. My hall also had people running up and down without a mask on. And lastly, my sheets had a hole in them... I've stayed in nicer hotels for a better price, I always try to support local LI spots so this was really disappointing. Seemed very quite and mature-ish on my visit. I was on Long Beach Boardwalk and the lights of the Allegria Hotel drew me in. The lobby is very nicely done up. Sort of state of the art meets lounge meets my sitting room is so awesome theme. Laughter and clinking glasses pulled me upstairs into what felt like a very huge loft. Maybe it's the acoustics in here because surely those six persons by the bar couldn't be causing all that racket. I was correct because as I got closer some were looking at the tellys above the bar and a couple speaking rather quietly on one side. This very spacious space has a lot of potential. I mean I got a vibe like my granny was all dressed up with no place to go. Its decor apparently does not pull the crowd or could it be the prices? However contemporary and flashy I felt nothing was "pulled together" (I watch HGTV heeey). There was no exact theme happening. Just nice pieces scattered around. The few workers I interacted with were as cold as the tiled floor, except the barman, the barman was very nice. He related the story of their ground floor being flooded by SANDY. I looked out into the ocean and thought to myself they were lucky. That's a nice thing about here, the sound, sight and smell of the ocean in such close proximity......ahhhhhhh. The Allegria Hotel could be awesome for a wedding reception or that style of function. I tried to sneak a few pics but was caught and stopped. *shrugs* welcome to my yelp life. That security officer/bouncer must have had me in his vision (stalked lol) for a while though because I'm very careful (sneaky) when taking pictures of establishments since a run in I had with........sorry, another review. I'll return to check out the rooftop bar (but not to stay at the hotel because of my my CM's warning). Three stars! For now. The End? We'll see. read more

Just got back from a 2-night stay here and want to share my experience... Pros -LOCATION! This hotel is right on the beach, walking distance from LIRR and a 5 minute Uber ride to Pops and the Long Beach bars -The rooms are nice, clean and have an amazing view (I was on the 8th floor). I didn't experience any of the issues that the other reviewers did. My room was clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. -Dog friendly - 2 dogs allowed and dogs are allowed at the lobby bar (also at Pops!) -All the staff I came into contact with were very nice Cons -They never pick up the phone at guest services (I called about 7+ times over the course of two days), only once I was able to get through -The breakfast buffet is over priced and wasn't good at all (I have had other meals here though and the food was good) -The pool was overrun by children, not relaxing, some chairs were broken (the pool is nice though, small, but has lots of seating, a nice waitress and an amazing view) -The beach chairs were not available (which is supposed to be included in the resort fee). I did see them when I was checking out and they looked very cheap and not comfortable Overall I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back here. read more

Horrible hotel do not waste your money. First you walk into the room floors are stained but I can handle that. Though the windows are not fully closed allowing in freezing air and heaters don't to so they give you a space heater which doesn't warm it up enough. Management and employees are snobby and nasty. I can't speak for the hotel rooms, but the rooftop bar (and pool) is amazing!! What a great view of the beach and Boardwalk while you are relaxing in the pool or standing against the balcony (great breeze). Beers were reasonably priced considering the view/venue. Mostly a younger (20s) crowd hanging poolside, or at least it was today. There's a downstairs bar as well, with a ground-level view of the boardwalk/beach from indoors. Also from peeking in (couldn't help myself), looks like a BEAUTIFUL venue to throw an event (I believe a bridal shower was happening today). White classy decor and very spacious. I'm going broke just thinking of how much $ an event on the rooftop with a beach view would cost, but I'll definitely look into it sometime out of curiosity (and hope!). Negatives- -service is iffy (couldn't get on Internet and texts didnt go through) -they close the pool for private events at times so may want to check if you're staying there what events are happening read more

Strictly reviewing the Rooftop bar/Food The Quick: The rooftop bar is amazing. Anything you could want in a happy hour/ dinner spot, this place has it. The Details: The view is out of this world (and don't even get me started on the sunsets). The rooftop bar is trendy, modern, and 'sexy'... The perfect spot for a drink or two. Came here for a wedding party. The venue is spacious. The setup was beautiful. The bartenders and server are friendly and nice but the others will need to work on there social skills. As we approach the hotel, all the valet people about 5-6 just stand in the doorway blocking the entrance. Once we are in the lobby, we got no instructions of where to go. The front desk was on the telephone, she just ignore us. All she have to do is make eye contact. We are not rude people that need service immediately. As we got up to the rooftop we where told we were too early and that was it. No farther greeting, she could have let us know there was a bar/restaurant on the mezzanine level where we can hang out before the event starts. read more

we chose this hotel because of the swimming pool facility. Couldnt check in before 4pm, told pool area is by reservation only because of covid protocol. Cant book until check in, they told us fully booked for the day, no one told us about this rule, we couldnt even use the pool facility at all. We even changed our room reservation to 4 people so we could have our friends to come join us at the pool. We over paid for nothing, waste of money! Front desk at midnight was rude and had altitude. Room service ends 9pm, no coffee maker in the room. Asked for hot water he says "you have to come down to get it" second call, he told me house keeping can bring kettle. So i got kettle, and i had to even ask for cup. Something is lucking here. Like common customer service!? O also sheet had stain on it that i had to ask for change. Where to begin. I was so excited about this hotel- it's advertised as four stars on its website, it's right on the beach, and very close (5 minute walk) to the friends I was in Long Beach to see. From the moment we arrived in our room- an oceanfront king suite- things seemed off. The fabric furniture and wall accent in the bedroom were badly stained. Upon our arrival, the bed had dirty sheets. (See pictures for fabric furniture stains and sheets.) We had to call housekeeping multiple times to provide us with non-stained linens, and they were unable to do so, despite several attempts. The towels were incredibly worn as well- thin, scratchy, and many with holes. Our suite had two bathrooms, neither of which had working fans. The door to our hotel room did not automatically close- I have not been in a hotel in the US this century that didn't have doors that swung shut upon entry or exit. Every time we entered or exited our room, we had to physically push or pull the door closed and wiggle the handle to ensure it was locked. Writing this now sounds petty, but I think most will agree that expecting your hotel door to securely close behind you is not unreasonable in this day and age, to the extent that it is almost a muscle memory thing to assume that this would be the case- which then leads to questions of security. At one point while we were out, my SO had to go back to the hotel to ensure that the door to our room was closed, in case our room had been serviced and it had accidentally been left ajar. An additional issue we encountered was that the windows did not open- to be fair, there were signs near the windows stating "please don't open the windows due to beach flies". However, in early November, there were no beach flies to let in, and what's more, fresh air is such a critical aspect to avoiding COVID. So we were disappointed to find that the window handles had been removed and they were bolted shut. When I called down to inquire about the windows, I was told that it was actually a safety matter, because there wasn't a secure barrier in place behind the window. I guess that's not something one can argue with, but I did immediately check the hotel website to see if this was mentioned at all anywhere. The website did not mention anything about the windows, but all of the pictures of rooms showed windows that had handles (ie. could be opened). The website also went above and beyond to describe the measures they were taking to combat COVID, and I feel that particularly during this pandemic, an inability to open windows should have been made clear. It's tough to say how much of this negative experience was due to COVID related issues and how much was a result of this hotel seemingly having a monopoly on "upscale" accommodations in Long Beach. Regardless, it was extremely disappointing. Pandemic or not, one should not arrive to their suite (or, honestly, any room they have paid for) and find multiple instances of filth immediately. Further, the hotel's inability to find one set of clean sheets for us (they had several tries) was disturbing- again, see pictures. We were told we would be contacted ASAP regarding our stay to try to make things right- we have been home for 48 hours and have not heard from them. We really wanted to like this hotel but my advice to the hotel is this: Try Harder. read more

We spent a very disappointing four days at The Allegria Hotel. We had two rooms that were never cleaned during our entire stay. After our first day, we asked about the cleaning of our room. We were told that rooms were cleaned every other day.The next day and the following days, our rooms were never serviced. My daughter had to empty the trash, get toilet paper as well as fresh towels each day. The floor and beds were getting sandy, the bathroom messy and we had no help from housekeeping. I want to mention that Zack, the manager, did show some compassion when I mentioned our horrendous vacation stay. Some compensation was made but was insufficient for the frustrating vacation we had been looking forward to for the past two years due to Covid. I realize that Long Beach has only one other hotel option. Rates are high at The Allegria and not worth it. For us, we will try the Jersey shore which has many more options. read more

This review is taking into consideration the numerous modifications the business had to do in order to service clients during COVID 19. 1 star for customer service at their front desk. Our check in was smooth and the staff are really nice and pleasant. They tried to accommodate an early check in. We were able to store our bags and enjoy the beach while we waited for our room to be cleaned up 2nd star for providing chairs and towels for the beach. We had brought our own towels but were concerned for the chairs. Pleasantly surprised the hotel provided. 3rd star for the view from the room. Now. The room was filthy and full of sand upon entering. Nobody ever picks up the phone at the front desk and as much as we tried to reserve the rooftop pool it seemed like an impossible task. The restaurant food is simply disgusting and the drinks are watered down. For nearly 600$ a night we expected better. The elevator NEVER works and you can see how that's a challenge with a baby and a senior in toll. The first floor was flooded and we were made to walk around the service stairs and flooded kitchen. Disgusting, unsafe. The cherry on top of the cake was the fire alarm going off and no one coming to our room or calling us to explain while your baby cried in fear. I went out in the hallway to see if someone could explain and when a woman from the staff tried to explain from a mile away (shouting over the loud fire alarm) I signaled I couldn't hear her. She approached seemingly annoyed and shouted "Comprende lo que digo!?" In broken Spanish. After that we packed and left. Definitely don't want to be somewhere racist and discriminatory. read more

Location is a 10/10. Have already booked my next 2 night stay. This was our "staycation" and I highly recommend it to those near or far for a full beach/boardwalk experience. Pros: -Location (can't stress this enough) this hotel is ON THE BOARDWALK. -Bar experience- these bartenders get it Their customer service with a smile and great attitude kept us coming back instead of heading into Town. - Next to Marvell's ice cream. - Beach passes, chairs & towels for beach (Renting chairs on beach $14/ ea. & passes are $15/person over 14- (umbrella and 2 chairs on beach costs $45)) 2 complimentary Poland spring waters in the room (it's the little things) Cons: -To get food/drinks/beach supplies/ etc... prepare to walk. (Not a crazy distance - maybe the equivalent of 5 -10 city blocks each time) - but be aware of that if u have any slower paced peeps in your crew. I walked 5+ miles in 2 days - for a "weekend at the beach". -Non hotel crowds are drawn to this location so it was always crowded. for ex: The only umbrella rental hut is in front of hotel- so your particular beach area is very crowded. ex: The only ice cream place is in front of hotel.... Ex: The only bar on the boardwalk is in hotel... you get it. -Hotel smelled like cesspool was having issues ...ewww -They were out of beach chairs and later on I saw they were also out of towels. - Elevators do not have card readers. There were non hotel teens using the rooftop pool and running around unsupervised. -Pool & Pool bar on rooftop was one of the reasons we first booked this hotel. Bar was closed and seemed to have been closed for some time- like years... why is this still on their website ? -$44 + tax hotel parking..... My wife and I just had our wedding here. The staff was beyond accommodating and very friendly. There was a slight glitch a few days before and they made up for it 10 fold. There are many reasons why I am giving Allegria hotel a one star review. The price unfortunately does not match the value. Below are the reasons I would NEVER stay at Allegria again. 1.) The rooms are clearly in need of renovation which cheap fabricated wood peeling off in areas, broken porcelain in the bathroom, lights that did not work, a mild mildew smell, and scratched flooring. The hotel lobby has multiple areas where it was leaking and posed a fall risk for elderly individuals as it was not properly marked or being attended to. In addition, the in-room amenities were lacking including no complimentary coffee in the room and an extremely limited cable TV selection. The internet was out almost the entire trip and when we asked the front desk about when it would be restored they acted like they did not know it was a problem. 2.) When I booked, I was promised a restaurant voucher for 30$. I forgot to ask about it when I checked in and so the next morning, I sent a text to the front desk to inquire. I received a message that all front lobby assistants were attending to other guests and would get back to me shortly. Nobody ever contacted me and when I sent a follow-up message, later on, inquiring about a response as well as the internet I received the same message response as I did earlier. Being an extremely non-confrontational person, I did not further pursue it because I did not want the hassle and already knew I would be providing a poor review of this hotel. The only thing that I can say that is positive was it was nice view. However, there are not patios and you will end up paying $350 and an additional almost $100 in taxes and resort fees. This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel. First time in 2011 and the problems began with the AC not functioning and the front desk promising Maintenence to resolve it while we were out to dinner. Upon returning at 10 pm approximately notthing was done. A call to the front desk resulted in an hour of no call back. Then we switched rooms at 11:30. And then dealt with extreme noise from the room upstairs. Second stay was after Sandy and that was so chaotic everywhere I'll give them a pass. But the third stay was the other evening. Room was great but there was no hot water to shower. Apparently it is a hotel wide problem as I asked another guest while waiting for my scrambled box breakfast. Come on people. $300 a night and I'm eating scrambled eggs in a cardboard box and taking a cold shower. read more

Unfortunately we had the worst experience here on our wedding night. The staff did not honor the prepaid reservation. They said they couldn't "find" our reservation. Though the reservation manager was on the phone with them telling them we had the reservation and it was prepaid as well as confirmed. The front office staff was unhelpful, hostile and showed no empathy at all. We were left to stand with our bags in the lobby and after an hour we gave up. We left with our flowers. Came to this hotel with the image in mind of a gorgeous resort by the boardwalk. The photos posted online make the rooms appear spacious, modernly decorated, and full of light. Well, I have never cancelled a reservation or walked out of a hotel fast enough. The room had black dust collecting in the corners of the living room. There was dark red/brown stains on the couch. The dining table and chairs had black streaks/stains over them. The faucets and bar sinks had grease around them. The tub had dark purple/brown stains with what seemed like fingerprints all around it. The toilet bowls were brown inside. One roll of toilet paper was almost done. The shower tiles looked dirty. The lights on the bedside tables would not work. The AC would not turn on. I have never encountered a hotel room in such condition. I thought this only happened I movies. This is all I was able to take in before leaving the room. Who knows what else I would have noticed if those bedside lamps actually worked or if it was sunnier outside. Sad. read more

First class hotel, first class employees! I can't say enough good things about "The Hotel" in Long Beach! I helped organize my 30th HS reunion here and it was the best decision we made! The hotel is situated right on the Long Beach boardwalk, has private access to the beach, including lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rooftop pool and lounge, a great restaurant and excellent catered food for our event! Sure, we paid up for this location but seriously, NOT MUCH!!! They gave our attendees great hotel room block pricing and treated us better than any Marriot or Hilton ever would have! Highly recommended! read more

Overrated place to go for brunch if you're looking for a casual brunch but it was still a great experience. We had used a groupon at the time but still really pricey for the limited choices, we paid nearly $130 for two. But i think now the price is lower. But it is worth it for you're a lobster eater and unlimited mimosas came with our brunch. You have to call in for reservations. The place is beautiful. Our server was excellent. He was always on top of everything, made sure our table was clean and our drinks full, always folded our napkins whenever we got up. A class service. read more

Do not make a reservation at this hotel. I made a reservation through the website and never got a confirm. I called 3 days in a row asking for a confirm and was rerouted to a call center Which I believe was in a foreign country. Twice my information was confirmed and twice I was told I'd receive a confirmation in 15 minutes. I Just called to cancel the reservation and was told they didn't have my email! I'm not even sure this place is open. Scary. read more
