    Ravioli with Duck sausage
    Jenn V.

I had dinner here tonight with a friend before an event. We have both been wanting to try Alleia and we're not disappointed. The place is a bit mysterious as there is only one small sign indicating it's location, and a huge wooden door opening to the restaurant. The ambiance is upscale and intimate. The kitchen is open and there is wood stacked around for the pizza oven adding a rustic touch. The candles and melted wax give an interesting artsy touch. I ordered the venison with sweet potatoes, and she ordered the ravioli with duck sausage. Both meals were delicious and lived up to the reviews. Our server, Dakota, was excellent and attentive. He went through the various menus with us and helped me decide on the cook temp of my venison since I hadn't had it before. The venison was cooked beautifully. The way the ingredients came together was so flavorful. I also had dessert and ordered my favorite tiramisu. It was the best I've had in Chattanooga. The portions are generous and we definitely didn't leave hungry. I'll definitely come back.

Beautiful spot! Really enjoyed my time sitting at the bar sipping on my Manhattan. Also ordered a flatbread from their appetizer menu and it was huge! But boy was it delicious. I could have eaten the whole thing but stopped myself to save it for it another day! Highly recommend!

Great Italian location. There is a lot of seating but reservations are preferred. The food was excellent to include the drinks and desert. Wait staff is excellent and attentive.

    Cannellini bruschetta

The inside of Alleia is really one of the coolest I've ever been in. Gas lanterns, huge velvet drapes, a wall of melted wax candles. I loved it all. We had the cannellini bean bruschetta : delicious, the angel hair with shrimp: delicious, the baked rigate, mostly delicious. I have a hang up about veal. I tried the Southside slammer, and unless you REALLY like cucumber I would avoid. We also tried the silencing Bruno non alcoholic drink and it was really good. The menu is seasonal, so you may not encounter the dishes we did. I wouldn't hesitate to have a meal here

Hate to write this [but planned my whole trip around this meal] and left wildly dissapointed. Cocktails were absolutely perfect, tomato bruschetta app was spot on -- but all 3 Pasta dishes we ordered missed the mark. Flat, bland, under cooked and overcooked. Hoping mgmt sees this and adjusts as we left absolutely underwhelmed. Paid $24 to park...weren't offered additional parm/pepper with our mains...weren't offered dessert menu...gorgeous ambiance did not reflect the rest of our experience.

Dark and rustic style ambiance, very welcoming and date night atmosphere. From start to finish service was amazing! Jack went above and beyond without being asked, very knowledgeable and just created a memorable experience all together, five stars for the service alone. The lasagna was divine, the meat tasted just like birria, Jack brought out a little side of chili oil that made it a 10/10. The calamari had a good saltiness that was well balanced with the lemon and sauce on it. The pizza I changed up a meat and added ricotta was very tasty and ohh my I devoured the tiramisu in seconds, the best one I've had. Highly recommend this spot.

Service was very good . The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. My daughter went last week and the waitress remembered her. The restaurant is in an older building and when I tell you the place is stunning from the artwork Andre sculpture wood paneling and the restaurant is huge. So many thing to see. The food is top tier freshly made pastas and deserts so good . Such a gem for Chattanooga.

    Rigatoni with lamb
    Ashley E.

All of the pastas were amazing- I got the tagliatelle with shrimp- so good. Another friend got the rigatoni with lamb, it was a bit spicy with the chili sauce but so good. The squash raviolis and crab was delicious- so had to choose. We started with calamari and the bruschetta with ricotta and honey- so good! Both appetizers were fantastic but the bruschetta was so unique. The portions are generous and this will be on the list when we visit again!

Service is fast. Drinks are prepared well. The kombucha almost tastes like a vivid adult grape soda and the Queen Bee cocktail has a nice herby scent accompanying a slightly sweet drink. Both our entrees (pork shoulder and pappardelle) were great. Only downside is that the pasta was a bit clumped in a couple places, but the flavor profile was good.

We had an excellent dinner at Alleia last week. Our server KiKi was fantastic. She was personable, attentive and great with recommendations. We ordered the mussels, the white bean bruschetta and the carpaccio. The mussels had great flavor and my husband said the were tender and quite a healthy portion. The carpaccio was like butter, just melt in your mouth goodness with the bright arugula and sharp cheese. Really enjoyed both of those. The bruschetta was ok, had good flavor but the beans kept falling off. It was a generous portion and we took two pieces home. The ambience was lively without being hard to hear and the design is really beautiful. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Came here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was fantastic with awesome decor. I had the angel hair pasta and shrimp. And my wife had the spaghetti. We both had some drinks and dessert. No part of it was disappointing. The waitress was really friendly and helpful going through menu items.

The pasta tasted super fresh! They have a cream sauce that is similar to Alfredo we asked about. I didn't see it on the menu but perhaps it was there and I didn't see it. I got shrimp penne pasta with the cream sauce and my daughter got gnocchi with chicken sausage and mushrooms with the cream sauce. My husband got another type of pasta and my other daughter got pizza. The cheese flat bread appetizer was delicious. The rice balls were good too... and of course the gelato was amazing! Service was great. We were seated right away. The ambiance was nice, more of a date place, kind of dark for me. I personally like to see my food well but it was still nice. The food was definitely worth it.

    Raviolo

Atmosphere was great, bartender was so informative and it was One of the best meals I have ever had! The Tennessee Back Road cocktail was so good, the Caesar salad was perfect and the Raviolo was phenomenal! The strawberry desert tasted just like the freshest version of the old strawberry shortcake ice cream bar you could get from the ice cream truck and took us right back to our childhood in the best way! We will be returning on every trip we make to Chattanooga! Only regret is that they aren't open any other nights we are here this weekend because of the July 4th holiday, or we would be going back again in this trip!

    Ask the Community - Alleia

Do they have bar seating? We're trying to go tonight but see there are no reservations available? Is there wait list seating?

We have 5 bar stools and four tables that we use for walk-ins. When you check in with the host, they will be able to seat you or tell you an approximate wait time if those spaces are full.

Do you allow BYOB of a special wine?

Yes, with a $20 corkage fee.

    Do they offer gf options?

Alleia offers many options that are gluten-free abdominal discomfort and the servers are always happy to tell you about the current gluten-free items.…

So stupid question. Is alleia like 3 course dining or like pick on thing off the menu?

Just to add a little tip, you can get half orders of the pastas if you want to try more things. Another pro tip...get the grilled romaine salad.

Can Alleia accommodate vegans? My mom is vegan, and while I'd love to eat at Alleia for my birthday dinner when I visit her in Chattanooga, I hate taking her to places that are just going to give her a house salad (when nothing vegan can be made).

Hi Alexis, Thank you for reaching out. We would love to be able to host you and your mom for your…

How expensive would an average friday night dinner date be?

Expect to spend about $100 before tip, with appetizer(s) and two entrees, depending on the amount of drinks (and possibly dessert) you order.

I did not say anything due to the second reason. Server didn't seem to be too keen on giving us top notch service. We have taken note that when we are a table of four, they always give us the rundown of the nightly specials. In. Great. Detail. Every time it is just the Husband and I? Nada. Nothing. Not even an introduction by the server this time. It's not the same server either. Happens with whomever we have. Seems to be something that they need to work on at this restaurant. We love this place! Watchman (our server) did a great job when it came to serving the food. But I should not have to ask about the specials nor ask for his name. We always tip more than expected, but when will servers learn that going above and beyond will get them above and beyond the expected tip? Hopefully something changes before our next visit to Chattanooga.

Showed up about 8:30 PM, had to wait for a table because the place was so incredibly dirty. The whole place looks "worn out"and little remains of its once elegant demeanor. The wait staff was young and more interested in horsing around with each other than taking care of diners. Paid $12 for 4 ounces of a very sour (!) Prosecco with a squirt of blackberry syrup at the bottom, but no straw to get to it. The fried raviolis were just cheese-filled and tasted of old oil. The salad contest consisted of whole leaves of iceberg lettuce, four slices of beets and six garbanzos. (This is for two people.) the salad dressing tasted of nothing but oil. The garlic rolls, for which I had raved to my wife, came out hard cold and stale. I ate a couple anyway thinking that the next batch would be fresh, but was told when I asked for more that they were "out." Since this was formerly a highlight of the Provino's experience this hit hard. My wife's entrée tasted burnt as as the only flavor and she refused to eat it. My eggplant Parmesan was cold inside and gelatinous, although the plate was warm. I suppose this Restaurant has suffered the same fate as Portofinos and the Acropolis; started by a family who is no longer involved and is now run by people who don't particularly care. Anyway there are other options for Italian in this town; heck, I would've done better going to Olive Garden. Won't be back - not ever.
