My Southern Pecan Salad with grilled chicken was delicious, as was the lovely black bean soup. The complimentary bread was a bit dry. The Dubai Cheesecake was too heavy and dense so we did not care for that. The Peach Tiramisu was light, cool, and yummy. I just don't get why people think the food here is so great. Another reviewer called it "Americanized" and I have to agree. The food was so bland -- it even needed salt. Got the short ribs special, and while the meat was tender, I've never had anything so lacking in flavor. And when my companion sent back the pecan crusted bass because it was dry and over done (and we hardly ever send food back), the replacement was no better. He didn't even eat half of it. And the "roasted" Brussel sprouts were way too mushy to have been truly been roasted. Stopped in for dinner with friends. We were seated quickly, but had to wait a while for a server to come by and take our drink order. Having been in the car most of the day and having a late lunch, we weren't overly hungry, so my wife and I decided to split an entree. The food don't take long to come out, we ordered the Pastitsio, which was flavorful. The food overall was good, but we were a bit shocked though by the price of the extra side salad being $6, for literally a small plate of lettuce with 3 tomatoes and a few crumbles of feta. Seemed a bit steep. The waitress wasn't the most personable, or maybe she was just having a bad day, I don't know. The interior is decent, wide open though, so definitely can get a bit noisy when they're busy. We've eaten here numerous times and have enjoyed it so much. However, tonight we ordered some of our usual dishes and they were not very good. The bread we were served was dried out. The Mousaka was not prepared as it usually is. I think they forgot to put in the Eggplan. The lemon pasta meal was filled with very yellow (old) asparagus and overcooked pasta which was drowned in pesto. not the usual very delectable dish!
