You will see from my previous posts, i don't post. I just use Yelp to find good stuff. This time i found something good on my own and want to share it w you. I live out by the stadiums in KC and found the car i wanted on Craigslist. The problem was that the car lot was in Pleasant Hill, 30 min away. Too far? Not for a car! Tony and his partner, Chuck, really have their own sales model. A better model than here in the city. I've been to a ton of lots and always felt like i would have to just cross my fingers driving my new, used car home. It's totally different at this place- believe me! (Credit Trump) They have an immaculate shop on site and a full time mechanic. They can fix anything. Chuck took me through the shop, (he's proud of it) they had a trade-in up on the lift. The mechanic had discovered something in his inspection and ask Chuck about fixing it. Chuck said, " well it's not gonna hit the lot 'till it's fixed". THATS THE DIFFERENCE. He downloaded a Car Fax, explained the warranty (yes, warranty!), and told me everything they had done to it before offering it for sale on the lot. This is not a quick flip and run business. I was actually having fun, Chuck was really funny, smart and honest. Not your normal used car lot guy. I bought a 2012 Tahoe. It wasn't even the car that brought me out there! They offered financing but i was able to do without. Tony Allen, himself, handled all the paperwork. He was fantastic. A "salt of the earth" kind of guy. He offered, but did not push, a variety of buy-back and extended warranty deals- great options to have. So i drove home in my new, awesome SUV knowing two things; I had made a great purchase and where I was sending everybody I know who needs a new car. read more

I recently purchased a used car from Allen Auto Sales from the owner, Tony Allen. I cannot speak highly enough of this small, used car dealership. From the first initial e-mail inquiry to the actual purchase, I was treated as a highly valued customer. Tony took the time not only to show me the car that I was interested in, but others he thought I might like as well. He took the time to go over every detail and feature of the car including features that I would not have known what it was without it. Later, after I had purchased the vehicle, I had taken it to a dealership in Overland Park to be repaired and felt that they were ripping me off. Not knowing what to do, I reached out to Tony for help. He not only agreed that the dealership was trying to take advantage of me, he came down from Pleasant Hill, MO to Shawnee Mission, Kansas (about a 45 minute drive) and helped me take the car to a reputable mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem. Tony's honesty and integrity are by far beyond any other dealership in town. If you are looking for a fair, reasonably priced used car, you should go here to see him (or his partner, Chuck - an amazing guy as well!). I've been around cars my entire life and I'm 69 yrs old. So I can honestly say I've dealt with a number of car dealerships over the years. I've been looking for months for a Low Milage older car for my grandsons upcoming birthday. Believe me, the majority of dealerships have a tendency to embellish the descriptions of their cars - in turn I've wasted hours looking at lot of junk. Well I found Tony Allen of Allen Auto sales on Car Gurus and decided to drive the 50 miles from house to look at his inventory after talking to Tony on the phone. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tony's inventory is vast and all his cars are nice. He has an excellent in house mechanic and gives a Limited Warranty for 3 months or 3000 miles on most of his Vehicles. Do yourself a favor and avoid all that high pressure showmanship of the run-of-mill dealerships and give Tony a call when in the market for a used car. A neighbor told us about a small truck that we can been looking for and was on Allen's Auto Sales lot. We live about 40 miles away but decided we would go look at the truck after having a phone conversation with one of the owners, Tony. They were very friendly and sincerely wanted to please us as a customer. The gang, Tony, Chuck and Bert, made us feel very welcome and worked with us. They explained the warranty and made sure we didn't leave with any questions. We will highly recommend them to our friends. They even offered us sandwiches if we were hungry. The only complaint my husband had was they didn't have any coffee and he made sure Tony and Chuck heard it more than once. HeHe. We recently purchased a Saturn L300 from Tony Allen. My friend Taina had her previous car stolen and she had a very small budget ($2,600) to get a replacement vehicle after the deductible was met. We had shopped around for two weeks and test driven a dozen used vehicles. It was quite frustrating. Fortunately, a family member tipped us about Allen Auto Sales. Taina and I found a great Saturn in perfect condition and the price was attractive. Stopped by and looked a truck. Talked with Tony later that day and said I would buy it. He took it off of his lot and went in the next day and bought it. Truck had a few issues which comes with a 20 year old truck. Tony and his team fixed it and didn't charge me. I offered because it is a 20 year old truck and nothing will be perfect on it. I was looking for a good used car on Craigslist. I was a little nervous about buying one from an individual, with all the horror stories you read. I found one at Allen Auto Sales and made the nice drive to Pleasant Hill. I really enjoyed working with Tony Allen and his Partner Chuck Tinsman. I recently purchased a Crown Vic. from Tony. Due to COVID I made an appointment to check the car out and drive it. Tony was great to work with, we reached a deal did the paperwork and out the door I went. The next day he called me to say he noticed some transmission fluid where it had been parked before, he had me bring it in and took care of it. I thought that was great! Tony is honest and friendly. He is transparent about the cars he sells and doesn't try to rip people off. You rarely see trustworthy used car salesmen these days. He wasn't pushy at all!
