For me this was not the place to go for friendly people. Not to mention the sales manager whom is mostly the reason I would not recommend this place. He needs to leave his macho attitude at home and not flex his muscles around the office as much. There is no room for negations on their vehicles and making an appointment does you no good because mine was moved back hours due to a walk in on that day. I happend to mentioned to my brother the issues at this location, and he knew exactly the manager I was speaking of and if it was not for the service manager, he would have taken his truck for his warranty work to another Chevy dealership due to the attitude he gave off to him when he arrived. I would give negative stars if I could. Took a car to their service dept on 7/29. On 8/5 they said they needed to order a part that would take a week. On 8/12 I called to check and was told the part was on backorder but they would call me back the next day with an update....On 8/19 I went in to the parts dept myself and was told the part just got ordered the day before! Well, after numerous calls and "Let me check on that and get back to you"....It is now over a MONTH later and I still cant get a return phone call for a part that I already paid for! read more

My husband and I were traveling with our fifth wheel from Oklahoma back home to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our truck developed an issue and we brought it to Heartland Chevrolet hoping they could fit us in for diagnosis. We most recently took in our 2015 Suburban for service on the one of the heated seats that went bad. During the scheduling of the appointment, the service representative stated that the repair would take roughly one hour. On the day of the scheduled appointment, the vehicle was dropped off at 8:30am in the morning. At around 10:00am the service representative called and stated that they "found" the problem that one of the heated seats went bad [I wish I was making this up], that it would take roughly three hours to repair, and that the cost would be $125.97 for the part and $482.00 for the labor. It appears that the business practices of Heartland Chevrolet is to charge $160/hr for labor (Which is about double the national average of $80/hr.) This is something we should have known a head of time because of a different experience recently with trying to upgrade the wireless charging in both of our vehicles. Heartland Chevrolet stated that to upgrade the wireless charging would be $250 ($100 for the part and $150 for the labor) for each vehicle. I found that to be incredibly for such a simple fix in my opinion so I decided to do it on my own. I found the OEM part online for $60 per Module Package. I then found a video of the installation process online and installed it myself. It took a total of 20 minutes for both vehicles. It is absurd that this dealership would charge $500 for something that only cost $120 in parts and 20 minutes of time. Three hours later we checked on the status of the repair process (since they did not bother to call and inform us of the status) to find out that it would still take another hour and half without offering a reason why it was delayed so long. To us, this clearly shows that they do not care about the customers time and their schedule. I have no doubt Heartland will post their general negative review response of, "Please contact us at (816) 479-5160 to discuss your concerns, as your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us." If Heartland wants to address our concern then they can reimburse us for our time and for overcharging us for the labor. Even better is if they would stand behind their product on something that is only 3 years old. Unfortunately, this has been the latest in the long line of disappointments with this dealership and their staff. We will be seeking a new service shop to take our vehicles to in the future since we do not feel valued as customers at Heartland Chevrolet based on their customer service, vehicle service, and pricing practices. read more

The worst car buying experience I ever had 2016. Still never got my hard earned money back from these scam artist. Yelp decided after 5 yrs pull my review. So I'll refreshed it to meet there guidelines. Don't buy a car from this place they will take your deposit money and never return it if your loan gets turned down. Below is what i wrote 5 yrs ago. The manager called my employer verified my employment but my boss is not comfortable giving what they are asking. I told them I will return the car and give me my deposit money back. I called Grant this morning as he wouldn't respond to me and to our surprised a tow truck was here just an hr ago to pick up the car. We didn't even fight it. My wife asked if she can just get the stuff in the car before they take it she ran inside to get the keys as I was asking explanation why they are towing it when I'm resolving the issue with Heartland but the towing company decided to be rude drag the car wit our stuff still in it. They damaged the car. So when you get your 2016 gmc terrain with damaged it is NOT OUR fault. You can ask your towing company to fix any damages as he is the one who decides to drag it didn't flat bed it just drag it as he is speeding. So we filed a police report they pulled the VIN and we found out that Heartland Chevrolet sold the car to a company in Oklahoma. Heartland Chevrolet you owe me $7700. Do what is right. ***Updated: After expressing my concerns regarding my tire issues, the General Manager of Heartland, Steve Isaacs, himself called me to address the matter. I was relieved to find out he actually wanted to help make things right. Not only did he make things right, he acknowledged areas where Heartland has opportunities to improve and will make changes to ensure a better customer experience. ---- Be advised: Heartland Chevrolet Will Cut Corners and Then Not Take Responsibility when their Dishonesty is Discovered. Example #1, the purchase bait and switch. Bought a used Sienna from Heartland Chevrolet (HC), who at the time claimed to have put "new" tires on the vehicle as part of the purchase. As I later discovered, the "new" tires were not manufacturer (Toyota) recommended. The Sienna model doesn't even have a place for a spare tire. That's why the recommended tire is "run flat", not conventional tires HC installed on the vehicle. So not only did they put tires not designed for the vehicle, but also created a safety risk in the event of an actual flat tire! And, absolutely no notice of these facts were ever given by HC before or after the sale of the vehicle. When I alerted HC regarding the matter, neither HC sales nor the service dept. wanted to take ownership for the issue and address it adequately. Example #2, same Sienna, same tires in question. At 30k miles into these once "new" tires, one tire, out of nowhere, goes flat. Because there's no spare, I have to get the Sienna towed to the nearest tire dealer. I find out all four tires need to be replaced. The tire store apparently can't even patch the tire that went flat because the treads are so worn. Which was strange, because, based on my own research, the "new" tires HC installed on the vehicle at the time of purchase should have a 65k tire tread life-expectancy, and would be under warranty. After numerous attempts, I finally got ahold of the HC service dept, and they claimed there's no warranty on tires they install at purchase because "they bought them". Huh?, Seriously!? So, let me get this straight, I buy a car partly based on the fact that there's new tires, but HC is claiming "they paid for them", SO THERE'S NO WARRANTY!? I reached out to HC numerous times, to both the service and sales departments, to ensure I got their position correct. (Just as proof, below is a link to the General Tire warranty policy that HC was delinquent in honoring) Sadly, I wasn't surprised by this brazen disregard for customer satisfaction given the situation previously described. I ended up buying all four replacement tires myself. AND THEN, after roughly a week of back and forth, HC said they would process a warranty claim after all, but, and here's the gotcha, "I would need to bring the old tires in for inspection", which were already disposed of when I replaced the defective HC tires. What did they expect (and I suspect they knew very well), they had told me point blank that "there is no warranty" to make a claim. I didn't have time to haggle with HC, who clearly wasn't really concerned about the satisfaction of their customers AND I needed functioning tires on a vehicle used to transport my family. Of course Heartland never acknowledged any of these tricks, the costs or risks exposed to me and my family by their deceptive practices. I'm assuming based on this experience, that Heartland Chevrolet is perfectly fine losing business in the long-term in order to save themselves a few hundred dollars to resolve problems they obviously caused. We took an under warranty car here for service. Although I've lived in Liberty for almost 20 years I've never had any dealings with them. Poor signage. No indication of where to take the car when you enter their lot. No one at the service counter to greet me. After waiting 10 minutes someone finally came and talked to me. The car was dropped off at 8:30 in the AM. I received no communication from them until the next afternoon telling me the car was finished. Despite multiple calls to the service department to ask about when the car would be completed, if the services were covered under warranty , etc. my messages were not returned. The operator couldn't get me put through to the service department, and I had to call back three times just to leave a voicemail. And then no communication until the next day. I was having noise in my front end so I took it to heartland chevy. their diagnosis was that all my gears were stripped in my transfer case and that I needed to have my axle bearings replaced in my front differential. When I first bought my car from Heartland Chevrolet, I didn't feel overly pressured. I did a test drive without the salesman breathing on my neck. I made a right decision buying from them! I highly recommend purchasing the extended warranty plan. If I didn't have the extended warranty plan, I would be paying over a thousand dollars for the radio replacement. I dropped my car off for a 3-day service on the Radio because the GPS quit working. I got a replacement and it's now working splendid. The customer service was friendly. The body shop repaired my 2014 Dodge Charger earlier this year (front bumper and passenger quarter panel), and the results look good. The turnaround time was about 1 week. My only complaint is that the clerk could not find the paperwork when I picked up the vehicle. After 10 - 15 minutes of searching, they claimed that the insurance adjuster must have taken it. I do not understand why the adjuster didn't make a photocopy, but I did receive the paperwork in the mail several weeks later. read more

After writing my first review, the GM of this dealership called me. Initially, I was happy to see that even after I already purchased a vehicle, they wanted to fix the encounter. My optimism was shown VERY wrong quickly in the conversation, and the conversation turned bad quickly. I was at work, so I ended the conversation quickly. What I've learned during my car buying experience is every dealership cares about the reviews you leave. The GM called me trying to defend the actions of his team, as supposed to understanding why I felt the way I did shows me, "the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree." Early on, I was given the impression he wasn't interested in why I felt the way I did. Just to confirm, my family interaction with the sales team all the way up to the GM proves why nobody should ever buy from a dealer who doesn't value everyone's business. Completely LIED TO! I took my CTS to these crooks because of a leak in the coolant. They told me I had a busted thermostat housing, then proceeded to tell me that I had a carbon build up in my fuel system, my brakes were dangerously worn and needed to be replaced, and they wanted to flush the antifreeze, fuel line, and break lines. All in all it was going to cost OVER $2000.00!!!! I didn't believe all of this, so I drove my car to a trusted mechanic. ALL THAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR WAS A BUSTED HOSE!!! He said the thermostat housing IS PERFECT, there's NO CARBON BUILD UP ANYWHERE, and my brakes are WORN DOWN TO 75% AT WORST...He replaced the hose and flushed my radiator, changed the coolant, and it totaled $300.00 for everything. LONG WAY FROM OVER $2,000.00 Heartland Chevrolet Service Dept. ARE DISHONEST. This incident speaks loudly of how they operate. I cannot believe that I almost wrote the check and let them screw me like this. I would NOT suggest ANYONE take their vehicle to this dealership. If you are buying a car or truck from Heartland Chevrolet in Liberty MO this information may help you to have a better experience than I did. First of all, if at all possible get your own financing. I'll leave it at that. Next, when dealing with the sales manager, check every line every time they come back. What you just agreed to will be changed from top to bottom. When you think you come to an agreement and are ready to sign it, look it over thoroughly, take a picture, and get a copy right then and there. Do not lose it. You will need it when you sign your final documents and possibly after that. IMPORTANT: Be very leery of any aftermarket products they try to sell you. They will tell you that you have to buy them, you don't. This is where they make all, and more, of the money back from the rebates they just gave you. Just say no. Examples: 1. Glass coat - they try to charge you nearly $2000.00. You could get it done elsewhere for 1/4 the cost, and they slopped it on. Had to take it back for a do over. 2. Nitro locks - 4 locking lug nuts. They charge you $498.00! They cost about $20 online. 3. Edge/door guards - They charge you $397.00! You can purchase a 2 pack for $4.00 at any auto store. Then they didn't even install them where the door would hit. Unbelievable! Another return visit. 4. Window tint - 2 windows $299.00 - Twice what you would pay elsewhere. If there is anything but $0.00 in the aftermarket column you should check online prices first. Be careful. MOST IMPORTANT: Do not think for one minute that what you just agreed to with the sales manager will be properly transferred to your final documents. Hard to believe, right? The numbers were changed! Check every line of every document you sign and get your copy right then and there. Do not trust them with your electronic signature! Do not leave without all of your signed paper documents, especially your yellow copy of the sales sheet and your life time warranty. They will refuse to give them to you. It's pretty easy to figure out why. They will say they are going to mail them to you but in my case, they purposely wrote the address incorrectly on the documents. I'm not making this stuff up. They did and refused to change it. Ignored me like it didn't matter. I never received the documents! Get your documents and do not trust their electronic process. Personally, I'd go elsewhere. After missing their own set deadline twice after 1.5 months the car wasn't even close to done. No apology. I gave them a list of things to fix. Second time still not done and they got made at me no apology. 3rd times a charm finally it was done after I thoroughly fought them. Now an apology from some new guy who knew nothing about my car. From the beginning of purchasing my vechile through a salesman sucked. He was rude. Always bugging me when I told him the hours im working and would not liked to be bothered. He didn't care about us. He just wanted the sale. Next the wanna be "pretty boy" who does the paper work with you to officially sign and purchase the car was rude as well. Told us what we wanted to hear. Told me I didn't need to read this and that because it's not important. Read it anyways. He just wanted us out the door. Another thing is the younger service tech was checking the oil and fluids before the test drive and he shut the hood. I wanted to look my self. He didn't even screw the oil cap on, or put the dip stick in all the way. Just your trust ppl to make sure your car is runnng properly and safely and little things like that make you wonder about them. Anytime I've called about an issue or a question they are all rude and make it seem like your bothering them by asking them to do their JOB. I've called before and wanted to know about my warranty policy and everything I had paid for. I was told that I didn't get the premium warranty and all that and I know that I did, so I had them email it to me and sure enough I did. So when I did need the road side assistance I paid for it my self because I was told o didn't have that. Also I had a vechile that was in a wreck. Took it to Heartland Chevrolet to get and estimate to see if it was able to be fixed or if it was totaled. They said it can be fixed. I didn't believe it. Took it to another shop and they found that it was totaled in one day. Rude service. Horrible customer care/service. Horrible body shop. I would not recommend taking ur vehicle here to be repaired. I had my jeep Cherokee being worked on here after I hit a deer. Heartland gave me a courtesy vehicle and they told me it would take a week to fix it took almost 2 weeks. The courtesy vehicle was stolen and it was recovered and Kevin who was very rude told me I had to pay $1000 for the deductible so I said no big deal. I made an insurance claim on the stolen car because there was damage to the vehicle. I went up to pay the $1000 for the deductible and he said he will not release MY jeep to me until insurance says it's going to be covered so I called my insurance and he said it's going to be covered there's just a process and he even called heartland and told them that. I have been without a car for 2 weeks now everytime I try and call up to heartland and try and talk to the owner or a GM they always say "I'll rely the message and the owner will call u back" which that never happens very poor customer service. Also in the stolen we're Sleeping bags and other items that were to be donated to the homeless and they won't let me get anything out of it. Bought a truck from the about a month ago. We had to wait on a baffle for the heater to be fixed. It took them a week to even get it put in the shop! The only reason it got put in was because we called every day to check on it. Also, It had new tires put on that weren't balanced correctly so I've had to pay out of pocket to get repaired. The dealership said they would do it for free but everytime I call and leave a message they NEVER call back. Very frustrating experience. read more

I never do reviews...so I want to make it a point that I would never do business here. 1) I was very interested in buying a Camero...not a cheap one either. I got there about 30minutes before closing and there were 4-5 salesmen huddled around each other basically doing nothing. I was inside the showroom btw looking at it. I was there for 20 minutes and no on approached me. 2) Brand new GMC Sierra AC stopped working and it was 95+ deg. I pulled to the service lane...it was empty and two service guy kept looking at me. I finally pulled my truck in the bay, waited...still no one came over. Finally get out to ask about my AC and said I'll have to make an appointment for Mon...which was 5 days out. I said well it's brand new, hot out and could he pls check it or the fuses...simpl stuff. Looked dead eye at me and said Sir, I can't help you. Kidding me, a $47k vehicle and this is what I get.
