We had my moms funeral here a few weeks ago. Mike was so incredibly helpful along with most of his staff. My moms services was beautiful. I'm truly grateful for that. We did come a crossed an older lady whom I'm assuming may be related or even the wife of the owner at the front desk who was (extremely) rude every time we came in contact with her. I was so taken back by her attitude. If it wasn't for the rest of the staff who was so pleasant and helpful and went above and beyond, I would have given 3 stars just based on how we were treated by this one lady. read more

Our father passed away in a nearby city. We live 5 hours away and weren't able to do many things for him. Veronica helped us along the way to get everything set up for his funeral. She went above and beyond to help us. She purchase our father clothes for the viewing. We couldn't be anymore appreciative for her help. He was well dressed up for our final goodbyes. We had several issues beyond the usual ones experienced from a death in the family, and also a very limited time factor, and the staff of Allen Mortuary was wonderful about making accommodations and working with us. Penny Forgnone, in particular, went above and beyond, and was very supportive and really made herself available to us when we needed her, even though we'd already taken up more of her time than was probably the norm. It may be strange to post a review on a Mortuary, however when a loved one passes away the family needs to feel like the company who,is taking care of arrangements cares about them on a personal level. Allen Mortuary has been helping our family with arrangements since 1988 and have always been caring, compassionate and professional. We had not been there in a long time and was very pleased with the remodeling of the facility and how comfortable and beautiful they made the environment. My son recently passed and they went above and beyond to help us through the process. It's bad enough when a family member passes but worse when the person in only 23. We had 250 people in attendance at Tyler's service in Allen's Chapel and they were so helpful and guided us all the way and were present in case we needed anything. All the staff was helpful and Veronica was a tremendous help. She made a great presentation of the pictures we provided for the service and it turned out beautifully. Recently went to my Grandfather's funeral here. It was a beautiful spacious place. The service was nice and the way they handled the video we wanted played was a little hard for them to handle but it was played like we wanted it to. I liked how when people were coming by our family to share their condolences that I looked behind them and the staff was moving flowers across the way to the reception with out a hitch. They were super fast in making sure everything was just right for my grandfather's service and his reception. I would recommend Allen's to others who are looking for a nice place to have their services. The Event center that was available made it very easy to visit and share memories with so many family and friends after the service.
