I've taken both kids here. My first kid got her braces off right before an unexpected hospitalization, and she wasn't able to wear her retainer for about a week. After that, the retainer didn't fit. I asked them to help me out, and I was told for $500 they would put the braces back on for a month so that the retainer would fit. I know it's not their fault, but I think that price is a bit steep. I took my second kid in, and he has sensory issues. He won't wear the rubber bands, and they didn't offer me another solution for his overbite. It was like, well, you just paid $3500 and we'll do the best we can. That was disappointing. Also, lately, it's been extremely difficult to change your appointment. You have to book your next appointment before you leave, but that's too bad if something comes up and you have to switch appointment times. You are looking at waiting an additional 6 weeks for a slot to come up, extending your time in braces. If you play by their rules, it's a great place. If you need someone flexible and understanding, find somewhere else to go. Positives: clean office, appts go on time read more

Unfortunately, this office has not met my expectations. The hours of operation don't fit with a schedule of someone who works and I had to take off constantly to go in to be refitted with my liners. After about a year of this, I couldn't do it anymore and had to stop my treatment plan although I wasn't even finished. I was told at the start of my plan that I'd have lifetime reprints of my liners- thankfully- as these crack in the front about every 3 months due to such poor quality and I've noticed my alignment is starting to migrate. What a waste of thousands of dollars. And every time I'm told I have to take off work to come in to pick them up. I actually did that once, but when I got there that office was already closed even though their posted hours stated they should have been open for another 25 MINUTES. After that I started requesting them to be mailed to me. I'm unsure if there's new staff there recently, but I've experienced numerous errors from being told I now have to pay for reprints to the wrong liners being printed and sent to me. I was even recently asked by a staff member if I had my molds to do reprints- isn't that something the office should have???? Why would a patient be required to bring in their molds to have new liners printed? There doesn't seem to be a reasonable level of communication within the office and it's now been a month since I asked for a new set and I still don't have them. Apparently, the new set has been sitting at the office for who knows how long despite being told that they would be sent to me. No one even bothered to call to notify me. No information relayed to staff that they were supposed to be mailed. Really wish I had gone with another office who prioritized patient care over gimmicks like cookies and t-shirts and not be treated like I'm on an assembly line. read more

Besides masks, no changes or precautions have been made in response to the current pandemic. This is a practice in which mouths are open constantly!!! There are no partitions up of any sort, and capacity of seats are in no way limited. Patients are seated less than 4 feet away from eachother, all with mouths open for procedures. This is how the virus easily spreads. People lie on the health forms all the time. The least you can do is limit the capacity! Or put up protective partitions! For months since you have been open, all you have in place are masks. May be time for me to speak to the city or county about this matter. Lovely staff nonetheless. read more

My daughter always looked forward to make her appointments because of the personal attention she received and there was always something fun going on in the office. Dr Allen's office is awesome! I got my braces off 3 months ago and every time I look into the mirror And see my results I get happy all over again! They have this program where you can purchase to replace your retainer for a lifetime, I've already had to use it because I ended up throwing it away on my lunch break! This place is great if you are not using dental insurance. They use a 3rd party service to bill the insurance companies. If the 3rd party service cant figure out what the insurance wants they just say it was denied. I have to do all the leg work with Delta Dental just to make the claims go through. None of Dr.Allen staff answers via email, have to call every time. Would be nice to just email someone at Dr.Allen staff the EOB so they can send Delta Dental what they want. Fyi, they offered 0% financing but dont tell you about the "financing fee" unless you catch it in the paperwork, I thought that was a bit sneaky on them. read more

The staff is friendly but the Doctor is trying to server too many patients. They mistakenly removed my sons lower braces and in turn offered $50 off of my next bill. They never deducted the $50 and this was several months ago. They have made several mistakes booking us. There is a miscommunication between the administration and the secretary/billing. The good part is my sons teeth are straightening. Update: They did take off the $50 after I called them and reminded them. It is still difficult to get an appointment within a short period. My son lost 3 brackets and I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks until his regular appointment to get them remounted. read more

We have absolutely nothing but glowing things to say about Allen Orthodontics. They have cared for two of our children (so far), and we couldn't be happier. For starters, and most importantly, our children's teeth came out perfectly. Dr. Allen gave them each an absolutely gorgeous smile, with no dental problems at all. Dr. Allen was friendly, personable and paid incredible attention to our kids through the entire process. The service we received was wonderful; the entire team was helpful and respectful. Even the waiting room experience was positive--none of the crazy delays we're all accustomed to in other places. In fact, they go out of their way to make it a great environment. They serve cookies, and have a TV and a video game console to help siblings pass the time. Treatment times were perfectly reasonable. We always left happy with our experience and with the results we were seeing. It is impossible to get someone to call back. The first time I called, I had a question and the lady that answered the phone said she would call me back. Never heard from her. Few days later I called again and asked the same question, was told someone will call me back. Guess what??? No call back! Called today and was put on hold for 12 mins. So I hung up and called again.
