I foolishly gave this dealer the benefit of the doubt but please learn from my mistake. I'm buying a car from them. Haven't had the car a month yet . Day one when I'm getting ready to leave with my car the dealer tells me that they put carburetor cleaner or something in my car and my car would be smoking but not to worry it should wear off soon. It's still smoking. After 2 weeks of having the car the brakes started squealing . I took the car up to the dealership they gave me a paper showing that the brake pads and all that have been changed and oil had been changed Etc . They fixed the brake pads again well that was 2 weeks ago they're squealing again . I also inform them that whenever I go to turn the corner and first gear my car jerks . I'm paying extra for a warranty . So they told me to take it to the Hyundai place and use the warranty . Well of course the warranty doesn't cover pre-existing things which obviously it's pre-existing since it's been doing it since I've got it got in the car and plus there's a $200 deductible . I just spent all that money on the down payment insurance and all that crap I don't have money to put $200 down . Then the kicker I go out to check my oil today and there's no freaking oil in the MF. Plus there is a piece for airflow wasn't even attached. All this after me crying telling the salesman about all the crap I just went through losing my last car because someone wrecked into me and insurance totaled my car and of course I didn't have GAP insurance. Never even heard of that and plus the car lot that I was buying my other car from Drive Casa did not even offer gap insurance !!!!! So I'm not very happy with them . It is a shame that dealers are so focused on taking your money, then offering an acceptable level of service. 2.5 hours to get oil change...and I had a standing appt for 2 weeks, as I also needed tires rotated and state inspection. After the 2.5 hr wait, the only item crossed off was an oil change. Service advisor told me they all went to lunch and he could not get the tires rotated or inspection. My appt. was at 11am....I got out at 1:30. Just a very bad experience from a poorly run dealership. read more

We took in our challenger to have some repairs done. It was the light in the trunk that wasnt working correctly. I paid an extra 40.00 a month to have ALL electrical components changed. Long story short, my car sits up at the dealership all day when I was promised that the bulb would be done before noon, when I finally called. The "MECHANIC" tells me that they couldnt fix it because 1. It wasnt under warranty and 2. They couldnt get into my trunk...... . What? Why didnt they just call me.... Anyways, Is the customer not worth a call? Also, There are three buttons on my keychain you BUMS !!! Lock, unlock and open trunk!!! He gave me a bunch of excuses and they never did anything about it. I just came and picked up my car, I decided I could do it myself. So... a few weeks later, we get an email saying that our car has build equity and we qualify for a traded in exchange for a newer model at a great price. So we take time from our busy scedule to go take a look. We found what we wanted and guess what? We do not qualify for the new vehicle, when we mentioned that the email was a lie and that Allen Samuel's needs to stop informing people of lies, and manipulation, the guy says, "it's not our fault, it's our system." What? At least take responsibility and apologize for wasting the time of two long term customers. He never did. Is this who you hire to represent you ALLEN SAMUEL?!?!? IS IT?!?!? Yes, the answer is yes. We wont bother buying any new vehicles from the place. It's a disaster, so disrespectful and they wont stand by their contracts. I took my Jeep in due to a dragging brake and the service department completely misdiagnosed the issue. They claimed that the vehicle needed a new ABS system and were quoting $3,000 for the repair. I ended up purchasing the needed parts outside of Allen Samuels and took the vehicle to a local shop to get the work done. They took a look at the Jeep and told me that all I need is new brake hoses in the front (a $400 repair). Instead of recommending a common and cheap repair, Allen Samuels immediately jumped to a worst-case conclusion. If I had stuck with them, I would have been out thousands of dollars. I have since been refunded for the lazy diagnostic, but I am still out hundreds of dollars in restocking fees for parts that Allen Samuels said I needed. read more

The soft top roof on my Wrangler needed to be replaced, and a small plastic piece on the roof also snapped and needed to be repaired. I purchased a soft top roof offline and scheduled an appointment with Allen Samuels, figuring a Jeep dealership would be my best bet to have the roof repaired/replaced quickly and efficiently. The instruction manual said the roof would take 1-2 hours to install. I took the car in on a Thursday morning. Garry Bruce was my service adviser. He ordered the part I needed, but told me they wouldn't be able to get to the car "until Monday at least." So, I took the car home for the weekend and dropped it back off at Allen Samuels at 7am the following Monday. Garry told me to expect the car back on Wednesday. Monday evening, Garry called me and said "we don't really do this type of thing" - at a Jeep dealership!! - regarding the installation of my new roof. As a result, Garry told me it was going to take 6.5 hours to install and would cost $865. I pushed back, telling him the manual said 1-2 hours. He said he would "talk to his parts guy" and get back to me. Garry didn't get back to me until almost 48 hours later. He said he was able to get the labor time "down to 4 hours," with the possibility that "it could take longer." I do not know how to replace the roof, and I didn't have transportation in the meantime, so I told him to go ahead and do it. He said okay. I heard nothing more from Garry until I exchanged voicemails with him on Thursday, almost 36 hours later. He told me they "still hadn't gotten to it." We reconnected Friday morning, at which point Garry told me he was "hoping they'd get to it today." My Jeep had been sitting at Allen Samuels for 5 days at this point. I told him I was going to pick the car up at lunch time and take it elsewhere. When I arrived Friday at lunch, he informed me that the car was being worked on "for a recall issue," and he wasn't sure "when it'd be done." This was the first I had heard about any such recall issue. After not being touched for 5 days, it seems clear that Garry rushed the car into the garage for the recall only because I was on my way to pick it up. Additionally, the small plastic piece was never replaced. I spent an entire work week with no car, spending money on Ubers and asking friends for rides. My car sat at Allen Samuels for 5 days and was never touched. Garry made me feel as if I was an inconvenience for asking a Jeep dealership to help fix my Jeep. I am a lifelong Jeep driver, and this is by far the worst experience I have had at any Jeep service department. I am in the market for buying a new Jeep, and I can confidently say that Allen Samuels will not be receiving any of my business. read more

When they quoted me a price on a truck when I signed all 5he paperwork I noticed they changed the quote for the truck. I said this wasn't we agreed on. My salesman said well you signed the papers now so it's to late. I gave them a Ram 1500 it was a 2017 had 18,000 miles perfect condition had all the bells and whistle. I got home and wanted to check uconnect and I find out they dont offer it. The salesman says well I can put you in a 1500 for 46,000 I said I paid 70,000 for this so what happens if I have trouble on the road? I call anyone? Well boss just call roadside assistance. Or get out and change your own tire. I'm 73 no leg, and I guess like the salesman said I could put you in a truck with all the bells and whistles for another 15,000. Are they nuts. All I can say is, check the truck out really good, make sure its everything you want, if the give you a quote and you sign the papers it and you find out they switched the numbers around. Then they will tell you "to late boss you already signed the papers. Also I have Lonestar trucks since they came out. The word landstar appears on the tailgate yet all the paperwork says Big Horn. So technically have Big Horn on paperwork and LoneStar on the truck. I was told because the Lonestar is made in Texas and the Big Horn is made in Michigan well evidently the have no clue where Ram trucks are made. Lets tell them they are mainly made in Saltillo,Coahuila, Mexico then you have the St. Louis assembly north in Fenton, Missouri. I know for sure I lost 3 Rams while living on the border. The workers come across the border with master keys. A Laredo police officer told me he stopped a guy who had 32 master keys can't arrest anyone for keys.The Lonestar from Texas is also made in Mexico. I guess this is why we as consumers dont like politicians and car salesman. Watch your paperwork and make sure everything I think even 3 stars might be 1 to many but I like the truck. Had my vehicle towed here on a Wednesday. I understand parts are on back order right now, but there is no communication between the service department and customers. I had no clue what was happening with my car or what was even wrong with it. I had to call and talk with three different people before figuring it out. When I called the lady kept pushing back the day it would be done. Called and told me they had the part and that it would be done today, just to call four hours later and say that they actually did not have the part and it would be longer. Thankfully for the people who rent vehicles out they were able to get me a loaner car and tell me exactly what was going on. After 2 weeks I had to call and get an update on my car just to find out it has been ready and nobody called me. I feel like they would have kept it for another week before cqlling me. read more

I have not heard from the dealership unless I call to inquire if the repairs are completed. I was told by Garry Bruce that the vehicle need two batteries and that they were ordered. I am very disappointed due to the fact that I understand that a business of this capacity stays busy, a simple update to let me what is going on. I felt like Allen Samuels were not concern about my feelings and just brush me off when I call. I had a hard time receiving a loaner car so that I can get to and from work. I was in the market for a new car. I found one I thought I wanted, but was located at a different dealership. I even checked the VIN before sitting down with these guys. Turns out they came back with the same exact vehicle I had been looking at online (which they could transfer to their dealership). I gave them 1 instruction. Come back with your best price (new vehicle and trade). They came back about $3000 ABOVE the internet price advertised at another dealership's website and $2000 below on the trade in. I think not. They lost me as a potential customer. You're going to need to step up your game. It's not the best price for the vehicle and trade. I ended up going to a different brand in town (unexpected). I received $2000 more on my trade because they thought it was worth it, below "average price" for the new vehicle, AND a superb APR rate with no haggling. We were in and out so fast they even forgot to charge us the down payment. Finance was not pushy at all to sell maintenance/extended warranties. I was very surprised. I have a feeling this would have never happened at Allen Samuels. Be very prepared before you go to this place. Know the best price for the vehicle and the fair price for your trade. I bought a car in December, the sales man, trey aka boe tie, lied to me and said I would have heated and ventilated seats. He knew this was my first time buying a car as a young girl. He also knew that I was moving to another state a week after. I finally find out I don't have ventilated seats because now that is not December and it's warming up I wanted to put them on. I called and expressed my concern. When I spoke with trey he was rude, yelling, and wouldn't let me even talk. I talked to his manager which he tried to help and well as the general manager. They way they went about this is bullshit. All these bad reviews are from your poor costumer service. 3 oil changes does not equate to a feature like that in a car! He also didn't show me anything and the manger said oh that's normal. Wtf?!? Isn't that the point to show off the features to the people who are buying it instead of easily listing off them. So since they gave me "the benefit of the doubt" that's how they decided to compensate me. I don't recommend coming here at all. Allen Samuels Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep has, without question, the worst service department I have ever dealt with. We purchased two vehicles through Allen Samuels and have had nothing but trouble from service. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Allen Samuels, or even are unlucky enough to have Chrysler/Fiat-branded vehicle that you purchased elsewhere but live in the Waco area, please keep the following review in mind. Our issues started the day after we purchased a 2016 RAM. We simply wanted to get our navigation activated. We were going to be paying close to $700 to have this 'feature' activated. We called our salesperson who said the service department is open until 8pm and to just come in and it would take them 5 minutes. We got there at 4:40pm and suddenly all of the service workers disappeared. I was literally the only person left in the front of the service department for about 15 minutes. I left service and went to find Marcus Ward, who is, by the way, delightful. Marcus and I walked around looking for Evan Harder (service advisor) for another 10 minutes or so before Evan pulls up in his personal vehicle. Marcus said Evan had probably just left to go get smokes. Nice. Classy. Definitely what Allen Samuels is paying him for. After that, they took my vehicle in and left it sitting in the lot with the doors open for about a half an hour. This, for a five minute fix. All they had to do was call Dodge with the number on my navigation screen to activate it. The person who took my vehicle in and left it sitting in the lot could not be found. I eventually got fed up, got in my truck, and started to drive off before Evan ran out and asked if I had changed my mind about activating the nav. No. I just had already been there for over an hour for a five minute fix and nobody was doing any work. Eventually someone came out and took the five minutes to call Dodge with my number and get the navigation working. Keep in mind that the hours of the service department say they are from 7-8pm M-F. This is, at best, dishonest. If you arrive after 5pm with any sort of real problem they will direct you to come back some other day as only oil change technicians work past 5pm. If you arrive between the hours of 4pm and 5pm, be prepared to get ignored by the service advisors and basically anyone else as they try to rush out the door to go home before helping you. A couple of weeks went by and the weather got colder and I realized that the steering wheel heater did not work. We called to set up an appointment and were told they do not take appointments and would just need to come by the dealership to get it diagnosed...... Okay. Sure. We drove the truck down there to have it diagnosed. We were told they could not diagnose it today and had to make an appointment to come back and have it diagnosed.... What? What was the point of not being able to make an appointment on the phone if we had to _drive_ there and be told to come back for an appointment for the diagnosis? In any case, we did as we were asked. We brought the truck back in on December 16th, 2015 to service advisor Randi Martin. After some hours of leaving the truck there and having to drive back again to pick it up, still unfixed, Randi told us that they needed to order a part and they would call us in about a week. A couple of weeks go by with no news and then I have to leave town on business. When I get back, I go back to Allen Samuels on January 25th and speak to Evan who has no idea what I am talking about and says the part was never ordered. Great. Not only was the problem not fixed, but the service technician, Christopher Farmer, did not even note what was broken during his diagnosis. I will have to come back, _again_, for a diagnosis. Evan told me to come back tomorrow at 9:30am and he would have someone diagnose it as soon as possible. On January 26th, I brought my brand new truck back in to the dealer for the sixth time. Evan, who made an appointment with me at 9:30am, did not show up until 11:00am. I asked Evan, "I thought you said 9:30?", to which he replied "I... I did. Something came up." Indeed. Eventually someone did diagnose my truck and found out that the heater seat module was installed in the way of the seat track. When the seat moved back and forth, it cut through the wires and the wires grounded out on the seat frame. Nice. Sounds like a fire hazard. In any case, Evan says they will order the part and he will put "special handling" on it and it would be 2-3 days and he would give me a call by the latest Monday, February 1 to come back in and get the part installed. Here it is Tuesday, February 2nd with no phone call. I have called the dealer twice today and have not been able to speak to anyone, including the service manager who apparently "has someone in his office" so he can't address my concerns. If you value your time and your sanity, you will stay away from this mess of a service department. read more

This is the worst dealership I have ever felt with. Terrible customer service every time I call. When looking for my car I told them exactly what I wanted. They did not show me anything that matched what I told them. They tried using their inventory and jacking up the price trying to alter the vehicle to match what I wanted. They told me it was impossible to find the car I wanted for the price I said. I found the car online at autotrader for 12k under what they tried to sell me. That was 2 years ago. Now trying to get a recall taken care of. Have called every day for the past week and half about my recall. They take my info every time and say they will call back with info. Still have not received a call back. Called the Jeep in Gatesville (which is only 20 minutes away) and they helped me that day and ordered all the parts I need. Two days later, I returned, after confirming via phone with the salesman that the price we agreed upon had not changed. I was having issues with my AC in my Dodge Avenger. I figured taking it to a Dodge dealership was the best bet since they would be the most equipped to handle it. I scheduled an appointment for 7 AM on a Tuesday. I was the second person to drop my car off that morning. Garry Bruce took my car. He told me there would be a $120 fee if I declined service on my car after they gave me a quote. I took his business card and he said he would call me with a quote shortly. I was working from home that day since I had no way to get around town. Five hours go by and Garry finally calls back to say the quote is $1456.68 to fix the entire distributor/evaporator which includes eight hours of service where they would have to take the dashboard completely off. We declined service. He said they would put everything back and call us back shortly to let us know my car was done. Another three hours went by and no one called me. So I called the office and talked to Evan who told me that my car was done. He didn't know how long it had been done but it was done. So, I go to pick it up. I paid $170 for them to look at it and change a filter. I filed a complaint to the service manager that it took almost nine hours for them to just look at the car and not work on it and that no one bothered to call me to tell me that my car was done. He said, "oh yeah. Sorry about that. I'll talk to Garry." They gave me my keys. They did not pull my car up or tell me where my car was located. I was wandering around the parking lot looking for my car when Evan showed up and asked if he could get my car for me. I said yes. When he came back with my car, I asked if he could tell me what was wrong with my car. He read the paper they had given me and told me it was a retainer pin which was a little plastic piece in a gear in my AC unit that had broken. I went home and my husband and I googled it. We found the piece for 27 dollars at Auto Zone. Thank goodness for Evan and his help. We went and bought the piece. My husband took my glove compartment out that night and replaced the pin in one hour and it works fine now. I wasted 170 dollars and an entire day of work at my office to be scammed by Garry and the service manager at Allen Samuels. Now considering Evan never looked at my car but was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with it tells me that Garry intended to only replace that one pin but still charge me for an entirely new system. Furthermore, I assume that Garry waited five hours to call me so if I did agree he could say that it took 8 hours of service when it was maybe two hours. What a beneficial system Allen Samuels has for themselves. Either they lie and get a generous pay out for a little bit of work or they don't do anything and still get close to $200. This was mine and my husband's second visit to Allen Samuels DCJR. The first time around we purchased a new Jeep Cherokee Laredo. I loved the vehicle purchase, but was not very happy with the service I received during the sale. I was contacted by an Internet rep in regards to possibly trading in my Jeep about a week ago. I decided to give them another try (but said I would not work with my original salesman.) We were matched with Kelly Townsend and hit it off well. She spent time getting to know us and asked questions, which I think is imperative to creating a substantial relationship with your customers. We worked directly with Hussein, who is now the Sales Director. We had originally worked with Hussein in financing during our first purchase, but he has made a huge improvement for the company since taking over the sales team. He took time to sit with us to find out exactly why we were not satisfied the first time around. Additionally, he worked an amazing amount of magic to get me into my dream truck. I was in the deep negative before trading in my Jeep, but the carryover balance was practically nil by the time he was through. I will most definitely be visiting Allen Samuels DCJR in the future and look forward to their business, especially if they keep Hussein as the Sales Director and keep training Sales Associates the way they should be trained. Brought my truck in for a simple two wheel alignment first thing in the morning. Was promised two hours by the service tech at most. I am now 4 hours into sitting here and keep getting the run around for answers. This is your typical stealership. Poorly operated and horrible customer service. Save your money and go elsewhere unless it is warranty work. In the future I will be making the trip out of town to a completing deal ship to have any kind of work done. read more

This dealership is outstanding when selling a vehicle. The lady who heads up the Financing is outstanding. There service department lacks attention to detail. Double check to make sure that they have the details written down on what service is to take place that day. When you pick up your car, don't drive off until you check there work. They seem to get it almost right. Almost right means you will need to return to get it all the way right. They don't grasp customers want it 100% right and they don't want to return until the next time the car needs service. read more

I finally had to put my 2004 5.9 Ram 3500 in for service. I knew it would be a little spendy no matter where I took it. The personnel at Allen Samuels were great to deal with. Other than what had gone wrong, I had them fix a few other minor things. The work was done when they said it would be and the cost was competitive with other shops. Horrible service department. They took three days to do a minor repair (replace a wheel bearing). My PT Cruiser isn't like bringing in a 1952 Dodge - it a very popular car with a bunch of the on the road so it should be a normal repair. We took it in, on time, for the 10:00 appointment - three days after we first called because they didn't have any schedule openings - fair enough, We were happy to wait to be assured to have the car repaired in a timely manner (were we ever surprised and disappointed). They had to order the part (why?), Didn't tell us that when we took it in - and didn't tell us it would take an extra day. They got the wrong part (why?) and again didn't tell us it would take yet one more day. When the car was finally ready at almost 5:00 PM on the third day, we went to pick it up. The service ranged from ignoring us to outright rudeness and insults to the "average customer." I rate them two stars because the actually did the work and it seems to be correct - but OMG getting there was the worst service I've had in a long time. read more
