Bought a Chevy Traverse about 3 weeks ago. Had been car shopping all day. Didn't think we would find a good deal close to home (Waco) but were so happy to end up at Jim Turner Chevrolet. Kristen Koch was so good. Not pushy and didn't act like the typical car salesman. I had experienced a bait and switch at another dealership a week before. We told her what we were looking for so she lets us test drive it. She answered all of our questions and never tried to sell us something more expensive. My husband and I even decided to "sleep on it" before making the decision, but because of her, we decided to go back and buy that day. She had actually left to go home but when they called her back she came right away and never seemed bothered by my indecisiveness. And finance guy was great. He never tried to change the structure of how I wanted to do my payments or how much I put down (like I experienced at another dealership). All around great customer service and we love our new car. Very pleased with the service we received at John McLaren. Our salesman, Jerry Jones was very knowledgeable. He treated us with respect and courtesy. We'd already been to another dealership the day before and asked for their best price on a 2016 Chevy Silverado High Country. We informed the salesman that we were ready to purchase but would be visiting other dealerships. Despite this, we received the same song and dance that most dealerships give to customers. John McLaren was nothing like this. They were honest and voluntarily looked for multiple rebates and discounts. So I scheduled an Oil Change and Tire Rotation and while waiting for service to finish my truck, I was checking out the new body Silverado's. I spoke with a salesman and he offered to let me take one for a spin while I waitied. We drove it and it was great. Chevy has really hit a HOME RUN with the upgrade they made to the radio in their new vehicles. Big touch screen was cool. I had them work me up some numbers on a new one with trading mine in and was SHOCKED!!!! Shocked that they gave me more for my truck than I thought it was worth and shocked that there were so many discounts and rebates right off the bat. Usually car dealers try to start really high but I felt like they were really trying to earn my business. So the end result is that I am the PROUD owner of a new 2014 Chevy Silverado and a JOHN MCCLAREN CHEVROLET FAN FOR LIFE! So let me say I've been to dozens of dealerships over the years. McClaren Chevrolet has by far been the most pleasant experience. The sales staff were very helpful and not pushy, the finance dept did not pressure me into buying additional options. This is the best dealership in the Waco area as far as the salesmen and the service department. I love the fact that if you have to leave your vehicle for service they give you a loaner so you're not stranded at work or home until someone can pick you up and take you back to your vehicle. I had a 1030am service appointment for a simple job that service advisor said should take 60 to 90 minutes. At 1230 my vehicle was still sitting in the entry drive. I questioned the service manager at which time he moved my vehicle out of my sight. Long story short, my entire day was consumed by what should have taken 4 hours.
