Auburn Tire helped me with patching my tire and then when that didn't fix the leak (because a cut…read moreon the side of the tire), they replaced my tire in less than an hour! But, after they replaced my tire they told me I should also replace all my break pads and my rotors... not a cheap fix. I decided to wait and ended up taking it to a place in Phenix City near where I work instead. He told me my rotors are COMPLETELY FINE and do NOT need to be replaced. He told me all I needed was new break pads on the front and an oil change... which cost less than half of what Auburn Tire had tried to charge me. Suggest getting a second opinion after looking into Auburn Tire.

To date, insurance has paid Ray's almost $17,000, yet the truck remains incompletely repaired. The estimated repair time was also significantly inaccurate, resulting in substantial rental fees, as we were forced to rent a replacement vehicle on a daily basis due to repeated delays and miscommunication. When the truck was initially returned approximately six weeks later, the following issues had not been properly addressed: Pinstripe did not match Tail light chipped Paint chips above the front chrome bumper Tailgate was only attached by cables (unsafe for use) Rear differential locked, causing grinding noises when turning Large plastic piece left in the truck bed Gap in the front panel After the truck was returned to Ray's for an additional week, these items were corrected. However, the front tire still does not hold air. Ray's has stated the tire was not damaged in the accident and that they observed no issues during the six weeks they had the vehicle. However, the vehicle's app documents multiple instances of low tire pressure that were corrected during that period. Based on our experience, I strongly advise seeking another repair shop. Ray's demonstrated poor communication, misrepresentation, and substandard workmanship. I believe my son was taken advantage of due to his status as a college student and because he was limited to their services through USAA's repair network

I agreed to the repair based on how the service is described on their website, which states that compressor replacements are typically performed using a kit that includes the compressor, accumulator (drier), and any needed expansion components. After the compressor was installed, the system did not operate correctly. The pressure readings indicated a restriction in the system. During the repair, the accumulator/drier and expansion valve were not replaced. When I raised this concern, I was informed that replacing those components was not part of the original scope of work and was quoted an additional $1,400 to complete those repairs. From my understanding, those components are commonly addressed as part of a complete A/C repair and are also referenced in the service description on the shop's website. Throughout the discussion, I made it clear that I was not trying to avoid paying for the work performed, but rather wanted the repair completed in a way that would result in a properly functioning system. At times, it was difficult to fully communicate my concerns, and there was some disagreement regarding the information I was referencing. I clarified that my understanding was based on the shop's own website. Ultimately, we were unable to come to an agreement on how to proceed. The shop removed the newly installed compressor, reinstalled my original unit, and returned the vehicle to me at no charge. I do appreciate that I was not billed and that the shop was willing to reverse the work. However, the A/C system remains unresolved, and there was a disconnect between how the compressor replacement service is described and what was performed in my case.

I hate leaving this review. We have been loyal customers since 2012. At the time, they were a…read moresmaller shop, great staff and they took care of people. But they started growing....and expanding...and they lost something along the way. Customer service was first to go. Then affordability. Those I can deal with, I understand that things have gotten more expensive and when you are dealing with more and more people, a little something gets lost. But I draw the line at integrity. About a year ago, my son hit something and ruined a tire. I sent him to Tiger Tire. He picked out an inexpensive tire that met his needs and wouldnt require him to buy 3 new tires. They had to order it. I took his car up and had them install it and when I went to pay, it was nearly double the initial price. They told me that was what he ordered. I asked him later and he showed me the invoice for the tire he ordered. I was pissed, but OK, mistakes happen. 3 weeks ago, he went to have air added to a tire. They told him he needed 4 new tires because of dry rot and quoted him $1100 plus mounting. This is a 19 year old kid, he believed them. I told him to check Walmart and other places, thinking maybe he could save a hundred or so bucks. Walmart had virtually the same tire, mounted and balanced, for $490! When he went to have them installed last night, the technician asked why he was replacing perfectly good tires. The dry rot was nonexistant. Just an excuse for Tiger Tire to make $1100 plus dollars. I am done with them. They wil never get another dime of my money.
