    I called to set up for maintenance service (office very knowledgeable, polite, everything I…read morewanted). I have a newer system that's about 3 years old but everyone around me a/c units were breaking and they were calling me to use my portable ac unit. I didn't want to take any chances w/ my unit so I took a chance w/ Brazos after reading the google reviews. My schedule was limited but they were able to schedule me on my requested day in the same week with a late appt, 5-7. I got a call around 6pm to resch b/c by the time the tech gets there it would be after dark. I understand service calls can be unpredictable but I would of appreciated a call earlier in the day. They offered to come out on the next day but again - my schedule limited so I sch for a week later between 5-7. I got a call around 630, tech running behind and will be there about 730. I got another call from tech around 730, on his way be there 30-35min. He got there after 8pm, I was concerned b/c it was getting dark. He started immediately, showed my husband what he did upstairs and went straight to the back to look at the condensor (?). Did not give me excuses, did not tell me he needs to resch b/c it dark - he got it done. My husband stood out there w/ a flash light, asked questions, tech showed him everything he did step by step. When you want the best service company, sometimes you will need to wait b/c everyone else wants the best too. My system was not broken so it wasn't imperative they serviced asap. I'm glad I waited and I'm not normally a patient person. I signed up for the one year maintenance contract and will recommend them to anyone in the area. It's hard to find a company you can trust, has good customer service and service technicians. When you find one, you hold on tight! Running a little behind should not discourage you from using any company. We all run late one day or another. Since they communicated with me every step of the way, I did not allow that to play a factor in my rating. Thank you for the great service

I called him because my Lennox machine wasn't blowing cold air. Over the phone, he let me know that Lennox has an issue with evaporator coils and I likely have a leak. I have him come to my house less than 24 hours later and he takes a look at the unit. The unit went into protection mode due to a power surge. John told me over the phone that we would be looking at a major repair because I failed to mention the power surge, so he didn't know. But he looked at the unit and explained to me that a power surge will turn ACs into fan systems, and that all I have to do next time is wait an hour and turn the unit back on. No upsell, just 99 dollars for his time and expertise. I was prepare to spend thousands. At that point, I felt very comfortable with John's ethics. It's a good thing to have. I asked him to do a service on the machines (clean, etc, yearly maintenance) and he told me he was happy to. However, his priority was to get customers with no working AC up and running. I'm okay with that. It's a sign of good principles. Also, he told me he's proud of his install work. I know my machines will break again, and when they do I hope he'll be around to help.

    Here is a factual timeline of my HVAC service experiences:…read more June 2, 2024: Hired Texas Air Care A/C & Heating for a non-functional HVAC. Paid $394.00. Invoice states "Replced t-stat and fuse. Found short at t-stat, repaired. T-stat old, christmas lights sound, and wire bent in wall to mount properly." An Emerson 1F78-144 thermostat was installed. June 3, 2024: Had Temperature Pro Katy-Cypress perform a system evaluation. July 5, 2024: AC experienced issues. Excel Air LLC replaced a dual run capacitor. July 11, 2024: AC stopped working again. Contacted Texas Air Care A/C & Heating. Paid an additional $228.95. Invoice states "Found small short in low volt wire under Cougs - Have spot on wire stripped back wire & re-connected. Con Vactor seems ok - monitor," and a fuse was replaced. December 27, 2024: The same HVAC issue recurred. Excel Air LLC was called. They replaced the Emerson 1F78-144 thermostat that Texas Air Care A/C & Heating had installed on June 2nd. The HVAC system has functioned since this thermostat replacement by Excel Air LLC.
