This is the second time we have had a cat receive a dental cleaning/tooth extraction under general anesthesia. We should have learned from our first experience and avoided this place, but we didn't, and now we are in hell. Our sweet tabby had the procedure 3.5 days ago, and since he has come home, he has been hiding in the basement and refusing to eat, drink, or use the litter box. His pupils are extremely dilated, and he can't walk normally. They saw him again today and gave him subcutaneous fluids and an appetite stimulant, but even that has failed to work. They have told us repeatedly that this is "normal" and might continue for several more days. I wish we had never trusted them. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Dr. Paul knows cats and both of my cats respect her. No one can get them to stay still and be inspected like this doctor. I would never take them elsewhere. Also now there is a calming potion for my cats that the doc says is very safe and effective. I will definitely try this next time! Dr. Paul saved my Sugarpuss 6 years ago when we saved her from the streets. Now she is healthy and happy and a fluffy ball of fur. These guys only treat cats and I highly recommend!! read more

Not sure if Dr.. Paul would remember us but she took care of our Nupper who had to be put down after 19 yrs , we always said he was too bad to ever die. Didn't think we could go on without him in our lives, but then one when calling the Vets office were told there was a young man who's cat had just kittens 6 of them so we practically ran there to see them and chose 2 both males our Toulouse our tuxedo cat and Chammer who's fur was like a rabits so soft . They were the best 2 kittens ever and filled out home with such love. Dr. Paul took care of them as well and when Toulouse got sick she also put him down. They were born in 1994. Dr. Paul is the best by far and always gave us the best advice, and at times even stayed after hrs for her to see one of our boys. Thank you for being there, we now live in Florida. read more

I took my kitty here for his first vet visit. He is my first pet so both him and I were nervous! Gretchen was very kind and explained everything perfectly to me. I know he was in good hands inside the clinic even though he got a little sassy with everyone handling him he also loves his toy mouse that was sent home with us. He's sleeping after two hours of tossing this mouse around the entire house. read more

My Tupelo was very brave today as he was escorted in for his appointment without us there comforting him and saying it's okay Tupelo shhhhh. Social distancing and unsupervised exams, telephone discussions of advice and care, not really what I'd prefer but glad that they were there to accommodate and take good care of one of my kids. He was disappointed though that he didn't get one of his favorite furry gray mice as a treat for being so brave today. He always stole the mice that Delilah brought home from her appointments, oh well next time. read more

I have gone to the Allentown Cat Clinic for over 30 years. I had taken my 4 Himalayans ( that lived to be over 20 years) for their checkup every year. The doctors always kept them very calm during their visit and treated them as one of the family. We now have 4 rescued cats that visit every year. The doctors have such a great bedside manner that makes the furry kids and their human parents feel safe and relaxed. My neighbors cat was stung many many times this summer. We drove to the Allentown Cat Clinic as fast as possible. When we got in and asked for help, everyone came running. We apologized to the people sitting in the waiting area... they said, please don't apologize, take care of your cat! The bees and stings were in his ears, nose, and all over the body. He was screaming so loudly that we were crying. The doctors took great care of him. I now have my sister that just moved here from Lebanon with her cat, Bella. I have been going here for many years. Dr. Paul is a very caring vet. Makes you feel like your cat is very special which of course to you it is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No long waits and exams are very thorough. Would recommend the clinic to anyone with cats. read more

I have used this place a few times. Knowledgeable, but its I know better then you do knowledgeable, so you need listen to my knowledge. I can put up with that no problem. However, what I can't put up with is a place that doesn't value a customer and their animals time. I have cat who hates just the idea of going to the vet. She gets aggressive and nervous. They know this already here. I had an appt set for today @ 10:20. I spoke with them the night prior to confirm the time, and also about how upset she gets at the vet. I arrived @ 10:08, and called as required upon arrival. The parking lot was pretty full, so clearly they were busy and they knew it ahead of time. I was told the doctor wasn't ready yet, so they would call me when a room was ready. I was early so I get it. I sat there in my car, with a cat who again hates the vet until 10:45, until I decided to call to cancel. My cat was at the breaking point and I have a schedule as well. I'm also not going to Subject her to a vet visit after the already ridiculous and undervalued wait. They could have at least called me at my scheduled time and told me how long the wait would be. They could have checked in and gave me a hi, keep waiting call. They could have called me earlier in the morning BEFORE I left and said hey we mismanaged our time and need to move your appt time. Instead, they remained ignorant and silent. I suggest if you must use this place to make sure you have hours to spend here, and most of those hours waiting until they feel you and your cat are worth the time. read more

WARNING ITS NOT THE HAPPIEST THING YOU'LL READ TODAY. Tonight we lost a good kitty. Jenson was one of the coolest cats my family has cared for. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago he disappeared (he was a stray in the community) and had us concerned. When he showed up this morning the poor thing was near death at least that's how he looked. My brother and father rushed him to the Allentown Cat Clinic where they said they performed oxygen treatments (they said he had pneumonia and was struggling to breath) and claimed he ate two cans of wet food (he was so skinny you felt like of you touched him he'd break. We tried to feed him and he showed no sign of appetite) 200$ and a bunch of medication later they tell us he's good enough to come home. With an unbelievable amount of hope, we brought Jenson back home to start their process of nursing him back to health. Not even 2 hours later, with my whole family gathered around trying to force air into his lungs, he passed in the most traumatic way in my brothers' arms. Jenson shouldn't have been sent home to suffer and we shouldn't have had to watch him die. Instead of doing the humane thing, and putting him down and out of his misery, they milked us for our money. This wasn't days later guys, this was literally hours. There is no mistake they knew that this little guy was dying. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED ANIMALS TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Or they just might do the same. read more
