And, I will say the greens were top notch; however, several tee boxes and fairways were very dry and we encountered frequent bare spots. The sand traps needed weeding and a fresh layer of sand. There were no ball washers on any of the tee boxes. For the price, we expected better.

The planner and staff had to make a quick change to move the venue indoors, which turned out to be absolutely beautiful, as we stood in front of the crackling fireplace watching the bride and groom exchange their vows. Maybe I'm biased but it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. The coordinator was easy to work with, giving us the freedom to book our own vendors and use our connections for wine and beer which made the day more affordable. Highly recommend!

I'm sure the menu rotates, but here are the highlights of what we had and why it was so amazing: Cornbread - incredible texture and delicious butter; Beet salad - beet raviolis where the beats sub for pasts and are stuffed with cheese (amazing!); crispy potato salad - looks small upon arrival but had such bold flavor and wonderful crispiness; Ricotta Gnudi and Scallops (jambalaya) - we ordered one each of these, then ordered another round of each because they were just that good; and the Creme Brulee - just the right ratio of creaminess to crunchy top. Set among the Smith Rock State Park and monkey face rock sits this impressive ranch/development. It's a private gated community that boasts gorgeous views of Oregon's high desert combined with magnificent Tuscan style homes. The scenery here is one of a kind and it only got better as the sun began to set, colors changing and shadows enhancing the views and landscape. The wedding was held outside at "the stables", a rustic looking building with a small fountain out front and endless views of amazing, pristine natural beauty. I really enjoyed the architecture that's subtly dotted through out the community. The lot sizes are spacious and each home is so unique...no cookie cutter track homes here, lol! As if that weren't enough, there's plenty of ponds, lakes and rivers to fish... My dad pulled 14 fish in less than and hour w my kids! Needles to say they had a blast, EPIC! There's endless trails to hike in the area, both by foot or by horse. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this was an amazingly special locale.
