I had a very positive experience with Allied All City Inc. after going through a stressful plumbing issue in my home. I have a warranty through AWRUSA that covers both my in-house plumbing and exterior lines, and when I discovered a leak in my basement tied to a crack in the main drain line, I knew it was going to be a complicated situation. A technician first came out to assess the problem and quickly realized that the crack extended beyond the interior wall and into the exterior portion of the line. At that point, Allied All City Inc. was assigned through AWRUSA, and they recommended a full replacement of the damaged section, which fortunately was covered under my warranty. The team arrived early and started around 8:30 AM. Before any digging began, they had someone come out to properly mark the gas lines, which I appreciated since it showed a strong focus on safety and doing things the right way. The job itself was not easy. It required several hours of digging and breaking through concrete to access and remove the damaged pipe. They explained that there really was no shortcut or temporary fix, and given how much I had already been relying on makeshift solutions just to hold things together, I agreed that a full replacement was the best long-term solution. Throughout the entire process, the crew was communicative and professional. They took the time to walk me through each step, explaining what they were doing and why. When they removed the damaged pipe, they even showed me the extent of the deterioration, which helped me fully understand how serious the issue had become. After completing the replacement, they didn't just leave things torn up. They made a real effort to restore the area as closely as possible to its original condition, which I really appreciated. It's clear they take pride not only in fixing the problem but also in respecting the customer's home. In the end, the issue was completely resolved, and everything is functioning perfectly now. The entire experience, from assessment to completion, was handled professionally and efficiently. I'm very satisfied with the quality of work and the level of service I received. My water main started leaking in my basement and I had to have the service shut off at the street. I call Allied last night, and they sent Juan by to survey my job and they provided me a price to replace my main from the curb to the meter in the basement. They arrived this morning with 4 men and all sort of heavy equipment. Oh so grateful for their drilling equipment so they didn't have to tear up my new driveway and walk installed last year. They ran the new main, ,and replumbed everything in my basement. While the original quote shocked me, you certainly get what you pay for. It turned. out to be a bargin. I can not warn you enough......DO NOT CALL ALLIED! I called them yesterday for a broken shower handle, I was advised they couldn't get anyone out to me till today, ok no big deal. I was told it would be a $75 charge to come out and give me an estimate and if we decided to go on with the work they would deduct the $75 from that. My appointment was for 8:30 this morning, I get a phone call at 7:30 telling me the plumber coming was stuck on an emergency and would be an hour late to me. I called back at around 10:15 (almost 2 hours past my appointment time) and was told he was almost done and would be by me after going to home depot to get the parts needed to fix the shower and should be here in about an hour. Fast forward to around 12:30, still no plumber. I call back and was told the plumber is finishing up at the job he is at and would be here around 1:30-2:00, over 5 hours past my appointment time. Finally around 1:30 a truck pulls up with 2 plumber's, they walk into my house and tell my wife and I it's going to cost $400. You must be kidding me $400 to change a shower handle? What are they smoking. They tell us it was $275 an hour. When I refused to do the work I told them I wasnt paying the $75 fee to come out either since they did nothing at all, I was told they already charged my card. They're smart because when u call to make the appointment they ask you for a credit card number first in order to set the appointment. When I called my bank to dispute the charge I was advised they charged my credit card the day before. How can you charge me for a service call a day before you come out to my house? What if I decided to cancel before coming? Found another more reputable company to come out and fix the shower for half the price and none of the headaches. While I'm still waiting for three other plumbers to return my calls, Allied came by in a couple of hours, gave me an estimate and finished the work the next day at the price they quoted. I needed a new water service line, and this job was nothing easy. The conditions were difficult, but these gentlemen knew their trade and overcame every challenge. I was in need of a replacement toilet tank lever, and called Allied. Suzanne answered my call, was very polite, asked for 75.00 as an upfront charge to do the replacement. When the service person comes out whatever the charges, the 75.00 will be deducted.. Arrives Mike B. Within a half hour to look at the said Toilet Lever. Mike. within 5 minutes of Evaluation, tells us 275.00 total of 350.00 of which 75.00 would be deducted... We asked why so much,Mike answered I'm going to replace not only the handle lever ,but all inside which included the chain and adjust the lever properly, he used terminology Everything inside...... Well.Mike left, and within about 1.. hour returned with the necessary parts. After he completed the repair, Maria asked him if the chain was also replaced as he mentioned earlier that he would replace it. He said "no, i did not replace the chain. I only adjusted it. If I were to replace it, it would have cost you a lot more money and more time. I would have to take apart the rest of the inside." Both me and Maria were shocked at his response. He quoted the total $350. to include all parts and labor. He changed what he had told us. Also, he started to move the toilet back and forth and saying " look at your toilet bowl. Its rocking and needs to be replaced". I told him to please stop rocking my toilet bowl. I was aware of it and I knew that I needed to remodel my bathroom. He continued to rock it and saying that my tile was breaking because of it. I told him again not to forcefully rock my toilet bowl. This was very upsetting for me. We were TAKEN, baited and switched. Allied to the rescue! After a big rain, I noticed the ground was sinking in, very close to my house. A local landscaper recommended me to call Allied. I called them and left a message with their service. No one called me back to next day and the hole was getting deeper so I called them back again, thinking maybe they just got my call back number wrong. After my second call, I spoke to the a gentleman who set up an appointment for me the following morning. In the morning, Ray showed up to my house at the scheduled time and explained everything to me. He knew the severity of the matter of the hole and was absolutely confident the company could correct the problem. The hole was by the corner of my house, I have kids and we have pets that go outside frequently. After he consulted with his boss, they decided to make me a priority and told me they would come the next morning to start the job and would not leave until it was completed. This put my mind at ease. The quoted price was way more than I ever imagined it to be but I was confident in the company and appreciated that they made me a priority. The following day, Ray showed up an hour earlier than scheduled. The laborers came shortly after and started the job. As answers to the issues were being uncovered, Ray explained to me what was going on and what the next steps would be. This made me feel even more confident in them. Special equipment needed to be brought in and more laborers. They came quickly and the job was completed quicker than I expected. The total job ended up costing so much money for me personally but I do not know of any other companies which are equivalent to them to compare them with. We called Allied All-City for a broken outside faucet. They sent Danny, who proceeded to shut off the water in our house, change the faucet out, turn the water back on and test the faucet...for $700. Talk about over charging... it's just wrong. My husband can't even get a clear explanation for why we were charged such an exorbitant amount of money for a job that took no more than 40 minutes or even a phone call back from the owner.
