They claimed my evaporator core was leaking. Along with the condenser. Which means they both needed replaced. I asked them about the oil leak. I was quoted $1,000. Unfortunately, I know THEY NEVER looked at it. So, they quoted me $4,000 to replace both the evaporator and the condenser. Along with the oil leak. My mouth pretty much dropped open in DISBELIEF. Especially, since that's the WORST quote.. I've EVER gotten since I've been driving for the last 30 plus years. I don't have that kind of money. Especially, since I am on disability. And I don't get that much a month. I ended up going to Ice Cold Air on 4th Street North. I gave them the receipt from Victory Auto. I asked them if they could give me a quote. They quoted me $2,200 to fix the AC. I was more than HAPPY with that price. This morning on (6/22) by 9:00 a.m. I took my car back to Ice Cold Air Because, I was concerned about the oil leak. After the technician looked at my car. He said the engine was dry. And there was NO OIL LEAK.. They also checked the evaporator core. Which was leaking. And it needs replaced. I asked them about the condenser. I was told the condenser is NOT LEAKING.. After MORE discounts from their Car Care Club. They quoted me $2,035 to replace the evaporator. I ended up saving $165 On their original $2200 quote. I ended up saving a little more than half. From the $4,000 quote I got from Victory Auto. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't pay to be a woman. Because, we end up getting taken advantage of. More times than other. Ladies I STRONGLY suggest. To ALWAYS get 2 quotes. Because, U don't want to end up. Having to pay for something. That DOES NOT NEED FIXED. And it's a damn shame too. I definitely DO NOT recommend Victory Auto..

Supposedly, I needed both my evaporator core and my compressor replaced. Along with a supposal oil leak I had. I was EXTREMELY upset by time I got to Ice Cold Air. I asked if I could get a quote on my AC. I explained what happened at the first place. And what needed replaced. Along with an oil leak. I was quoted $2,200 compared to the $4,000 quote. I was happy with their quote needless to say. I came back the 3rd week of June. Because, I was concerned about the oil leak After the tech looked at my car. Along with changing my oil. Which saved me a lot of money in the end. Along with the free oil change. I picked up my car the 2nd day. The GRAND TOTAL was $1.961 They had taken 20% plus off of my TOTAL. Along with the $95 for their Car Care Club. Ice Cold Air TOTALLY ROCKS Especially, because they don't take advantage of women. Which speaks volumes. I used my diagnostic tester to try to determine what the problem was. The tester indicated that there was a misfire in one of the cylinders. I finally reached Cruz Auto Repair in the late afternoon. Corey replied back that he could come to the house between 6 & 8 that evening (Sunday). Corey came at about 6:45 and immediately began to diagnose the issue and found that the cylinder had a bad spark plug. We talked about a price and I decided to have Corey change all the plugs. which he did. running a test again, he found that one of the coils was also bad. Since it was late at night, after 8 PM and the auto parts store was closed, we discussed a price and agreed that Corey would come back the next morning with a new replacement coil. Corey came back the next morning and replaced the coil and now the car is working just fine. From the start, Corey showed knowledge of auto repairs, did exactly what he said he would do for the price that he quoted each time. I would highly recommend Cruz Auto Repair for all repairs. We decided to junk it and the staff couldn't even be bothered with pulling the car out of the bay. I asked them 3 different times while I sat for over 3 hours waiting on the tow truck to remove the vehicle. They never lifted a finger for assistance and had the tow truck driver move it when he arrived. I have always recommended the Clearwater and Largo locations to others.
