This class uses weights, resistance bands as well as your own bodyweight combined with high intensity training. Bring your yoga mat and performance towel if you have one. Having been to heated yoga classes on a consistent basis in the last year, I invested in a performance yoga towel and very happy I did. You will need the grip as well as something to catch the massive amounts of sweat, haha. Short recovery in between intervals guarantees you will get stronger in every aspect of your workout. The intensity combined with the intro and outro vinyasa flow is a wonderful mind and body combination. So, do yourself a favor and try it out! The gym itself is impressively clean and well-organized, with equipment always in its place and ready to use. What really sets this place apart is the structured programming: every quarter you test your one-rep max, then follow a tailored program designed to increase your strength over the next three months. I've felt myself getting stronger week by week, and the staff has been incredibly accommodating with modifications as I manage knee arthritis. Cody deserves special recognition for keeping things fun and engaging. Right now he's running a bingo card challenge where hitting certain objectives earns you a Starbucks gift card, and during the holidays he did a "12 Days of Christmas" raffle for everyone who showed up.
