I don't think I've ever experienced such terrible customer service from a company before. Absolutely awful experience working with the company since it was taken over by the new owners. Just a reminder that many of the 5-star reviews are from when the previous owner, Dale, was running Allstar up until late 2025, and he was AWESOME. I'm writing this review because I was told I would be receiving a refund for a botched installation, but now they are ghosting me and will not return any of my phone calls or text messages. I ended up installing the appliance myself so that they didn't have to come back a third time because they didn't know how to hook up my machine. How can you own and operate an appliance company and not know how to connect appliances? They placed the unit where it needed to go and were going to leave when I asked the owner, Brandon, if they had finished with the install already, and I was told it was a "move only" request and they didn't charge me for an install. I had to show him the multiple places on the invoice where they had written "Install" and underlined it. He asked me to Zelle him for the installation and that he would be back the next day to complete it, so I paid for an install that wasn't completed. No word all day about when they were coming over, so I had to reach out again at 4pm to ask if they were still coming by. I was told they would come over after they were done painting their shop. No one showed up, even though I cleared my schedule to be home and sat around for 3 hours before accepting that no one was coming. No communication, just a no-show. The owner came back the following day and could not figure out how to hook up my machine and told me that I was on my own because, straight from his mouth, "It's just not worth my time." I asked him how he could make it right because I paid for an installation, and the unit was not installed. He asked, "So do you want like a refund or something?" and I told him I wanted the unit installed and asked if they could schedule an actual technician (instead of the owner, who clearly doesn't know appliances - he literally didn't even show up with tools) to complete the job. He said that they should probably be able to do that. With how flakey the company has been and how awful they've been at communicating, I didn't trust them to even show up the next day, so I decided to install the unit myself. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish to complete the job. I reached out first thing the next morning to let them know not to send anyone out since I did it myself. I asked them to refund me the difference between the price of a move request vs install request, and they texted me "Of course so srry about the inconvenience, we will get this sent over to you shortly :)". That was 9 days ago, and I've called, texted, and left voicemails with absolutely no replies. Still waiting for them to send it over...shortly. I went to Allstar because I've worked with them before when Dale ran things. They had a repeat customer who sought them out for another job. At this point, I will happily steer as many people away from Allstar as I can and point them to literally anyone else. read more

We just got a KitchenAid gas stove and a Kenmore washer that look and operate like they are brand new. And the price was outstanding. Refurbishing appliances and getting them into our homes instead of adding them to the Landfill is a very environmentally good practice. I was reluctantly ready to buy a NEW Washer (big $$ expense) and thought I would add a used Dryer from Dale. He saw a much better solution so that I ended up with better products more efficient than what is available today. And spent a lot less money. I think this may be the second or third review I've written for AllStar Appliances because they are that great. I bought a used Kenmore washer and dryer set in 1999. It's now 2024 and that dryer is still going strong today. Last month, for the first time, it needed a replacement part that cost $35. A moving company broke something in the Kenmore washer and I replaced it with another used washer from AllStar. This was 13 years ago, and today I had to replace that washer with another used Kenmore from AllStar. My new used washer is a beauty! Very clean, no rust or scratches, versatile and powerful but conservative with water and energy. Dale Craig, the owner of AllStar Appliances, was excited for me that he had that great washer available right when I needed it. The cost of the washer plus labor was very decent. The last thing I needed right now is a big expense, but the cost was doable and an actually pleasant surprise. Labor included delivery, installation, and testing the new washer, then hauling away the old washer. Not only that, but Dale replaced the hoses! When Dale told me he was also giving me a year's warranty on my new used washer, I was impressed but thought, 'I won't need that!' This company is absolutely the BEST. Dale is friendly and generous, a guy who combines his mechanical knowledge- how with an artist's eye. I love the guy, and his adorable dog, whose scent Dale shared with my dogs and vice versa. Suze works in the office and she is just as friendly and efficient at Dale. Ridiculously good customer service in an era when that has gone by the wayside. I have used AA since 1998 for multiple appliance repairs (and used purchases). This is not my first review for them likely, but warrants repeating. Call them first. They no longer do repair/service calls, but have very reliable used appliances at reasonable costs (refurbished). Trustworthy. Once came out (all the way to Paso from SLO!) with a used appliance for me but was able to fix the faulty one, and tried not to charge me. This is good old fashioned customer care. I recommend them always and will continue to call them first. Their team is outstanding, Suzanne today referred me to two trustworthy companies who might be able to service/replace my ignitor on my 1998 dryer, she said she'd recommend that versus purchasing used app from them. I met with Suzanne at the site, gave her the measurements after it turned out that they did not have the dryer I needed in stock. About a week later, Dale Craig, the owner, is at my house with a refurbished washer/dryer combo that he set up in like 15 minutes. Good place for finding budget friendly appliances. I would recommend this place. We recently purchased a refrigerator and had it installed in our Paso house. Unfortunately, within a day the refrigerator stopped working. But I have to say, Dale was quick to make sure that we got it fixed. He made the trip out to Paso twice and was friendly both times, and seemed genuinely concerned about getting our fridge back in working order. He had a loaner ready for our use while he worked on our original purchase, and within a few days, he had it fixed and installed back in our house. It's been more than a week now, and everything is working fine. I can only hope it continues that way. As I said, Dale is friendly and courteous and very willing to take time out of his day to make sure you're happy with your purchase. But I dropped a star for the obvious reason that we were originally sold a refrigerator that didn't work. read more

I purchased a used refrigerator from here and a part on it broke before I even had it for 3 months. Luckily they have a 3 month warranty so they picked it up and gave me a "loaner" fridge while they fixed it (free of charge). They were nice about the situation, picking it up and fixing it, great people. But when I first called to notify them of my broken fridge I hadn't found my receipt yet but figured I'd call and see if they could find my purchase on file (because food is being ruined). They couldn't find it and weren't very friendly about it. I told them the brand and they responded "we don't usually sell those here, are you sure you got it from us?" Yes! So they let me know they wouldn't be able to help me out unless I found my sales receipt. Yay for me, I found it and called them back. They were VERY apologetic about it and worked with me after that. Main take away - if you purchase an appliance from here just make sure you keep your receipt in an accessible location so you can work with the great guys they are, from start to finish. The way they handled the situation after our first phone call is why I gave them another star. read more

We bought a washer from Allstar last summer and I loved it but it leaked into the washer drum. Dale came out and replaced a part but it still leaked. He came to our house, swapped out the washer we bought for another one that works like a charm. Why is the review so late? We are only in this area during the summer months and we moved back to our AZ home before Dale could swap out washers. When we came back to the area last month, I got in touch with Dale and within a week of us getting back, he brought a replacement washer to our house. Our preference is to try to shop local whenever possible and working with Dale and his team was an experience that's hard to beat. Dale is great businessman and a great human. Walking in one day and had a dryer delivered a very short time later. Unfortunately, when he went to turn the dryer on it didn't work (Although it worked in the store). Now comes the good part : they immediately took it back and returned with an every better dryer that worked well, hooked everything up, leveled it, even helped me figure out own to turn on the gas (it was turned off outside for some reason), ....and it was raining the whole time, so the guys were soaked, but remained happy, chipper, and helpful.
