He was on time, super friendly to my pitbulls, quickly fixed the problems and because they were quick fixes he didn't charge me for labor. He's very knowledgeable in his craft. He even gave me advice on how to properly maintain my Subzero fridge so I wouldn't have to end up calling him one day to replace a $4000 part. Henry is awesome! I learned my 2011 Thermador Refrigerator was no longer cold when I pulled my turkey out to cook it on Thanksgiving morning, and had to run out and buy a fresh bird. After the holiday weekend, Henry came out and diagnosed the problem and ordered a new Operating Module and Power Supply. He warned me that Thermador was running out of parts for my model and that we may have issues fixing the refrigerator if these two parts did not do the trick. The charge was just $95 for the initial service call including diagnosis which took almost 1.5 hours. Then, after the parts came in, he meticulously set out to install them. He charged only for the parts and 1 hour labor at $90 although it took longer, because he told me it would only be an hour, and that's all I had to pay. We have been blessed with all of our new appliances breaking down within the first 2 years in operation. Henry from Allstar fixed our Bosch refrigerator which was under an extended warranty so no cost to me. The Typhoon range hood motor went out and the part was covered so Allstar charged a reasonable amount to diagnose the problem and then to install it once delivered by the manufacturer. AWESOME! If there was a bigger word we could use, we would! Henry was amazing. We called him to fix our ASKO washer which stopped draining in the middle of cycle. Come to find out, it was the drain pump that needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, ASKO does not allow you to order parts unless you are a "certified" technician. And even though Henry is certified with Wolf, who used to own ASKO, the new owner, Purcell, would not acknowledge that certification. So, Henry, being the consummate professional, got himself recertified under the Purcell name so he can now work on ASKO products. It was a laborious undertaking and we so appreciated it. And finally, after a long road, we finally got our washing machine back and a new "go to" for all of our appliance repair needs. We would not go anywhere else. When someone goes out of their way the way Henry did to make his client happy, that shows integrity, loyalty, and professionalism above and beyond. I purchased a GE profile refrigerator, along with an extended warranty, and four years out I started having problems. The insurance company sent out the same person from a company in Antioch who didn't know what was wrong. After the third time I insisted they send someone who was GE certified. They finally sent someone from Discovery Bay who knew exactly what was wrong and repaired it immediately. He said the fan was a common issue for this refrigerator. Now 1 1/2 years later, and out of warranty, I called All-star for service. They were able to schedule Eddy the next day. He too knew immediately what was wrong and had the part on his truck. It was fixed quickly and running great again. Eddy was very knowledgeable and experienced. I'm glad I found someone much closer to home I can call for my appliance repairs. read more

Very happy with the service from Allstar Appliance Service. I needed work done on a Sub-Zero freezer but Crystal said it would be a week out. Since it wasn't an emergency I was okay with that. The day arrived and I forgot what time the appointment was so I called and left a message with Crystal. She promptly called me back. I like that they send you a text 15 prior to the technician arriving. Henry showed up early and was very professional. He removed his shoes without even being asked cause he could see that's what we do in our home. He was able to diagnose the problem and even had the part I needed on his truck. The repair was made quickly and he reassembled the freezer and cleaned up in minutes. The freezer works great now. I highly recommend Henry and Allstar. read more

It's was a bit of a struggle in the beginning to even find someone that would come look at my front load LG washer. Multiple places said I would need to go through lg specifically. I called lg and they referred me to Allstar who is an lg certified repair shop. I called and was scheduled right away. Eddy came out and within about 45 minutes he was able to give a diagnosis and order the part we needed. Unfortunately, we were told the part could take up to 3 weeks to come but that is at no fault of anyone except the supplier (LG). We went two full weeks with no washer which sucked but as soon as the part came in they scheduled to come install it. Just got installed today! In about 30 minutes I have my washer back and running!! Eddy was our technician and was very nice, fast and very professional. I will definitely be calling them for all our appliance needs! read more

I have used Allstar Appliance Services for the past few months and they have been great. Crystal is professional and always helpful, while Henry knows his job and does it well. He is honest and will do what it takes to fix your appliances; if he cannot he will provide you with options and suggestions. Henry is the Fisher Paykel expert. Allstar techs each have brand name appliance expertise. He worked on my Fisher Paykel Washer that I had for over 10 years and after a few tries and diagnostics he provided me the cost comparison and I made a decision to replace the washer with (yes you guessed it) another Fisher Paykel. If anything happens I will gladly call Allstar again and have Henry work on my new machine is needed. It is my understanding that they service Solano County but may provide services within other counties. If you are looking for a business that provide professional services contact them. read more

I let readers be the judge. I say, don't waste your time with Allstar! I was referred to Allstar by another highly rated appliance repair concern that didn't service Vallejo. I read the reviews here and thought with the recommdation and a few five star reviews, this should be O.K. I emailed Allstar the same description of the problems with my Dacor oven and what had been done so far, for a tech to review before we scheduled a service appointment to be somewhat assured that this was a fixable situation, that I had sent to the first company. I asked for them to have a tech call me to schedule service if they thought that they could offer help. The first company called me within an hour, went over the description with me, and referred me to Allstar who does service Vallejo. In comparison, I heard nothing from Allstar for a day or two, not even a "thanks we're reviewing and will get in touch". So, I called them on Wednesday. I also ended up calling their affiliated parts house. Who were very nice and tried to be helpful by the way. The parts house person pointed out that Allstar was closed on Wednesdays. All right. No biggie. On Thursday I called again and talke to Crystal. I can't say she was rude or anything like that, but I will say that here tone and inflection had that "yeah, yeah, we got it and it went to a tech and he'll call you when he has time" quality. It wasn't reassuring. But, again I cut them slack as, I deal with the public in my government job every day and know that the customer isn't always right and, it can get tiring dealing with customers who think that you should serve them. Well, Friday night, well past 7:30, I recieved a call that showed "Henry Tarleton" on my cell. Not recognizing the name or number, I did as I always do and answered and waited for the party to identify themselves. They did not and I hung up. A few minutes later, same party calls. I hate pesky sales people, but this time I said "hello" and waited. Again, no identification by the party so I hung up figuring it was just another sales sweat shop and the computer was trying to pass me to someone because I answered. A couple of minutes later, it dawned on me that maybe that was Allstar finally calling me back. But, that didn't seem logical at 7:30 on a Friday night. So, I checked my email and sure enough I saw the subject line: "Walloven repair" and I thought uh, oh, bad communication. But then, I opened the email from this unknown to me and read this: "I tried to contact you about you wall oven today but was hung up on twice so I am assuming you do not require our help. Hope you have a fantastic day. Sincerely Henry Tarleton Allstar appliance" I was willing to chalk this incident up to miscommunication as often happens in business. But for me, this was strike two and three for Allstar. It just has that "oh well, tough for you" take it or leave it attitude. And, the "Hope you have a fantastic day" is one of those sarcastic digs like "aren't you special" and put me over the top. I don't want to do business with a firm that starts with a flip comment from the tech person that they are likely to send out. Even if "Hank" is the owner as I believe he may be. A simple, "This is Hank Tarleton from Allstar Appliance" when he called the first time would have avoided this whole situation. Of course, then I wouldn't have discovered how arrogant he could be up front. I am posting this review and moving on to another firm. You can judge for yourself if you think that Allstar appliance personnel need to develop a different attitude towards their potential customers. In the meantime, if you live within the service area of Trust Appliance in Vacaville, I can wholeheartedly recommend you take your business there. Called them for repair of my bosch dishwasher. Tried another appliance company before and they didn't fix the problem. The gentleman from allstar came out in the agreed upon time, and fixed numerous problems- chewed through wires, chewed up float, (we had rats! ) very quickly. then he cleaned up the rat mess, tested the dishwasher, and good to go. This is my second experience with this company and it will be my last. I set up a tech visit regarding my LG dryer that was not covered by a warranty and was two years old. The dryer was not heating. I was happy when I spoke with Shannon who quickly set up an appt to fit my schedule. Two days later the tech Henry visited my house and diagnosed my LG as blowing fuses because the dryer vent was clogged. From there my experience went south- He replaced the fuse and was gone in 30 mins. My dryer worked for one cycle and then it was back to its no heat/ no drying state. I called the next morning and Henry was scheduled to visit the house again this time three days later as the calendar was full. Second visit the fuse was replaced again and my husband was told if the fuse blew again we would need to replace the motherboard and another part...another $250 bucks but we would receive a year warranty. The dryer new was $900 bucks so I was okay with repairing vs replacement. The fuse blew the same day it was replaced for the second time. The parts were ordered....fast forward 2 months later the parts were on back order (Not Allstars fault). When the parts did come in it was on Wednesday....MY APPT WAS NOT SCHEDULED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK. The parts were replaced in my dryer....and you guessed it. My dryer worked for one cycle. Finally after getting a hold to Henry I was told he was not sure of what was wrong with my dryer...At this point I have spent 2.5 months without a dryer and I have spent out a total of $363.00. One week later Henry visited my house for fourth time....He called LG and spoke with them regarding my dryer not working...10 mins later he pulls the lint screen out...says to me that the reason the fuse blew for the fourth time is because the lint screen had not been cleaned.....WTH????? Not only that Henry put on his paper work they were not going to replace or repair the dryer if the lint screen was found to be dirty again under the year warranty without charge. I received a partial refund and I ran to Best Buy. I was there to buy another dryer but on the advice of the sales man I called another appliance repair company ....Within one visit my dryer was diagnosed and yesterday I used my dryer for 6 loads without an issue. The reason my dryer didnt work with the first set of repairs from AllStar was the parts put in my LG was for a Whirlpool dryer. So Allstar put the WRONG parts in my dryer ........... read more

I have used Allstar many times for a number of different appliances, Sub Zero frig, freezer, Kitchen Aid ice maker, washers, dryers, ovens. I find them very fair, honest and on time for appointments. I appreciate that I'm told if putting more money into something is a waste. I had one person, from another company, tell me I needed to replace my ice maker, which runs about 2 grands. The repairman from Allstar fixed it for around $100.00. I'm thrilled they are in my area. I always feel confident when utilizing their service. read more

Let me just start by saying I read several reviews on "All Star Appliance" that were unfavorable, but for us this wasn't the case or outcome. Appliance repair is like having your Mechanic repair your vehicle. It's a tough business, and not one I would choose for a profession. So our Maytag Washer took a cxxp. We thought we would have it repaired long enough to get us to Memorial Day weekend as there are usually sales on appliances. Contacted "All Star Appliance", and had to leave a message. Recieved a call back from Crystal, discussed my needs, and she let me know they couldn't take a look at the Washer for several days. No problem, so we made the appointment with a window to arrive between 9:30 to 12:00p (Noon). All fees were discussed in advance such as cost of service call, per hour-repair fee, and cost of parts as or if required. Our Service Technician was Eddy, and he called 15 minutes prior to arrival. Once he arrived, I described the issues/concerns we were having with the Washer. He then started troubleshooting the Washer. After 15 minutes or so, Eddy asked me to come back to the Utility Room where the appliance was located. Bottom line was due to parts availability the Washer was not repairable. Seems Maytag only makes one of the two circuit boards needed for the repair. Any 3rd party electronics sources basically didn't have a guarantee ... so again the Washer was unrepairable. So unfortunately we are shopping for a replacement Washer. Here's what I got out of using "All Star Appliance" for repairs ... 1) Professional, and timely response to schedule, and meet our appliance repair needs. 2) The Technician contacted us prior to arrival within the agreed upon date/window. He was Professional as well, and took the time to explain why repairs couldn't be facilitated in our case. Any other options for repairs were unfavorable as the expense for the parts along with the lack of guarantee wasn't cost effective. I've wrote more than most people want to read here ... but we would use "All Star Appliance" for our needs again as well as refer them to other clients. read more

We have a Samsung refrigerator that keeps icing over. Henry the repair man??? from Allstar came out and put a copper wire in the drain to keep it from icing-up. COST @180.00. One week later the refrigerator iced up again. Henry the repair man??? came out and said that we needed a new mother board and a new sensor. Cost $460.00. He said that this may fix the problem bu no guarantees because he can not test the control panel. I said no and called Samsung. They told me that they can test a control panel and that the problem was probably a sensor. They sent another repair person out to check and he confirmed a sensor needed replacing. Samsung replaced the sensor at their cost. The fridge works fine. I WILL NEVER USE HENRY OR ALLSTAR APPLIANCE SERVICE AGAIN. THEY FOUND ALL SORTS OF WAYS TO CHARGE US WITHOUT EVER FIXING THE PROBLEM. my frostless fridge had water/ice on the bottom of the fridge, so i was just defrosting it every six months. finally after two years decided to call my local "GE factory qualified" allstar appliance. the technician came out and replaced a couple of parts. six months later, it has water/ice on the bottom of the fridge. called allstar and they said the work is no longer under warranty. they obviously have not fixed my issue, and charged me $228 for parts/service that i did not need. i don't like to be taken advantage of, so have have contacted GE directly to find out why a "GE qualified technician" can't fix my issue. read more
