My washer started leaking and needed to be looked at. The home warranty we used directed me to this company. On 12/31/2024, Chloe called and left a message, saying their first availability would be in two days, on 01/02/2025. Right after she left me that voicemail, I called her back. Went straight to voicemail. I left a message saying 01/02 would be great as I'm actually off that day. No call back. Ok, maybe with the holiday things got confused. I call on 01/02. Goes straight to voicemail. I leave another message. No call back. I was out of town for a bit and when I returned, called them again and left a message. Still no call back. I spoke to Chloe almost a week ago for a refrigerator issue and gave her the brand name and the model. She told me she would call me the next day if there would be a problem to work on my brand (Insignia). She never called and so I assumed we were all good. Today I received a confirmation text for my appointment tomorrow. The text had a different address on it and so I called in and spoke to Chloe again. She verbally confirmed the appointment again and wasn't sure why the other address was on the text. Right when we were about to hang up she says they will have to cancel the appointment because they can't work on Insignia. They have been sitting on my brand information for a week. My washer was leaking back in January, and Solano Appliance Repair came out to fix it. It just started leaking again, so I took the washer apart and found a leaky valve. Then I saw what the last repairman did. Instead of ordering another valve and replacing it, he put a cup down at the bottom of the washer to catch the drips. It took 4 months, but the cup started to overflow. This is completely unacceptable. Why not replace the valve instead of putting a cup in the back to catch the drips and cross your fingers? read more

Honest and hardworking! We required two repairs, dishwasher and refrigerator. We have appliance home warranty insurance that automatically assigns contracted technicians. So basically it's a crap-shoot, that we haven't had the best experience to date. The company owner/technician showed up for the 1st appointment, diagnosed the issues, order parts and scheduled a follow-up appointment on the spot. A week later he came back to fix. Josue, the technician called ahead to let me know his arrival time, which was exactly my appointment time. When he arrived he was professional in appearance, the work vehicle was clean, he was friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the dishwasher. He was able to diagnose and make recommendations to my home warranty company within an hour of our appointment. Then his supervisor called about a hour later as a check up to let me know the status of my claim and thank me for my time! How professional can these guys be! So happy I had the experience with them, especially after I was nervous about the whole situation. I can't tell you the frustration I have had after waiting for an appointment to get my Kenmore Dryer fix. I had the parts shipped to my house they have been setting here for two months all I needed was someone to put them in. Sears assigned my work order to Solano appliance and repair we scheduled the appointment they came out today I took time off work only for the repair man to tell me that I really need another part that the parts that are there he didn't feel would fix the problem so he didn't even try to install them and that the part that I do need is no longer available because my dryers too old the only thing he did was turn on the dryer looked at the new parts and then told me to contact Sears so I contacted Sears only to find out that Solano appliance had already contacted Sears and told them that they do not work on Kenmore dryer's so Sears is saying because of what they said they are going to have to find another repair person to come out and put the parts in. Why didn't they just say they don't work on Kenmore when they schedule an appointment with me to work on my Kenmore dryer. They could have told Sears what they told me that parts are no longer available for this unit. Oh that's right they can't say that because I just received the parts for the unit that were ordered by another appliance technician that never came back to install them Either. why have appliance warrenty if repairman don't want to repair your old appliance. read more

My home warranty sent this company to repair my dishwasher that was working fine, but was getting really loud. They scheduled my appointment for a Monday and the sent a technician that seemed to know what he was doing. He said it was our motor and he replaced it. He mentioned something about a hot water valve that was leaking, and I specifically asked if that was something that also needed to be replaced or fixed, because the last thing we need is for a water leak. He said that it was the valve that connects the dishwasher to the main water line and it only leaked when it was shut, so he needed to turn the water off to the whole house while working on it but it wasn't an issue if it was open and connected to the washer. After he was done he left without checking if it was actually working and as soon as we started a wash cycle, the dishwasher started beeping with an error code that indicates leaking. We couldn't even turn it off we had to unplug it and call them to come back. No one answered so we left a message that no one responded to. Now when we requested the repair on the dishwasher, we had also requested a repair on our oven. When the tech first came to fix the dishwasher he explained that the hinges had not arrived and they would come back when they arrived which he expected to be that same week so we were told that we had a second appointment that same week on Friday. Had he replied to our message, he would know that the dishwasher was not fixed and we needed him to still fix both appliances. Friday comes and we get a text an hour before our appointment to tell us the oven hinges still haven't arrived they aren't coming and have to reschedule. They had given the appointment time as 11-1 so they expect someone to be home between 11-1. Therefore we had to take a day off of work just to be there. It would have been nice to know that they were not coming the day before since I am sure they already knew they didn't have the hinges. So my husband calls them up and let's them know that it's fine that they don't have the hinges but that we still need them to come fix whatever they messed up on our dishwasher cause since they messed with it, it started leaking. They let him know that they already fixed it and that this new appointment is for the oven and that we would have to put in a new request for the dishwasher. We ask for a manager and he tells us he's the owner. So then my husband is upset. Not only did he take the day off but now they don't want to fix a problem they caused and they don't even want to schedule a new appointment. This owner gave different excuses. The tech is working another repair, then the tech was sick. Basically there was nothing he was willing to do. So we call the home warranty they make them schedule an appointment with us the next Monday and the same tech as before comes and change out the hinges but claims he can't figure out what is wrong. A week later we get a second repair company to come out for a second opinion. Their tech says that the leak was coming from a clamp that was not attached correctly and the basin that has the sensor that sets off the error code alarm cannot be accessed to dry out so it can take another week to have that water evaporate. All this mess and a month now without a dishwasher in a household of 8 all cause we asked for our dishwasher to be as quiet as it was when we bought it a few years ago. Don't expect anything to get fixed correctly or promptly with this company. The owner doesn't run an efficient business and doesn't care about the customer while his technicians don't know what they are doing. read more

I was so happy with AV the owner of Solano Appliances Repair. I have American Home Shield and AV has repaired my dishwasher before and he was super diligent and helped me get a replacement. Today I needed my stove repaired, there was an electrical problem and they did an amazing job. In addition I told AV my dishwasher was not draining again and he was able to get that issue added to my work order and he fixed it right after repairing my stove. I was so impressed, they found the issue clogging my dishwasher and now both my stove and dishwasher are working great! In addition, AV and his staff are super professional and friendly. I really appreciate their hard work and I plan to use Solano Appliances for any future problems with all of my appliances. AV came to our rescue! He repaired a fancy microwave/oven combination in Napa for a family with a newborn baby. The microwave and oven were connected as a single piece with two ovens. It would have cost many thousands of $$ and cabinet retrofit to replace. He had to remove the whole huge heavy thing to fix the electrical problem behind it. He was cheerful, he diagnosed and fixed the problem and left the family much happier. The charge was so reasonable I almost wanted to object. This company is AWFUL. Awful service. My washing machine has been broken for weeks and they couldn't come out to fix it for a week, then when they did, the repair didn't work. I washed my clothes right after the repair (because they were supposed to fix it), and immediately after I called again because the washing machine wasn't fixed at all and making a very loud noise. They were supposed to come back that same day, and I called twice but no one showed up. They were then supposed to come the following day, and never showed. Then I called again and they were supposed to come today at 10am, and never showed. All the while my clothes have been sitting in dirty water for 4 days because they are not reliable and won't come to fix our laundry machine that we need. Never hire them. I am so angry and Now all my nice clothes are going to mold and they smell so bad because this company didn't do their job correctly. read more

I was very impressed with the service that I received from A.V., the owner technician of Solano Appliances Repair. He was sent by my home warranty company because I had a leak in the ice maker. It took A.V. less than 10 minutes to diagnose the problem, and it was not the ice maker but rather a crack in the water hose connected to the refrigerator. He had the replacement part in his truck and fixed the leak. However, he noticed that the ice dispenser's cover was not closing just from the absence of a very subtle sound that is normally present when that door closes. I would never have noticed the sound or the door itself since it's tucked underneath the dispenser. Apparently the non-working door also contributed to the leak due to ice melting slowly. He proceeded to pull the dispensing unit apart and found the problem and replaced the defective parts. My ice maker is now working perfectly. I really appreciate the thoroughness of A.V.'s diagnosis and his expertise In his field. He also was very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend him for any appliance repair needs. read more

Solano Appliance Repair came out to fix our trash compactor, sent by American Home Warranty. The techs at Solano Appliance Repair pulled out the compactor and put it directly on our new kitchen floor, ignoring the towels and blanket I had provided to protect the floor. Well - you guessed it. Somehow the compactor slid around on the floor and a large gash was the result. A hole in our practically new floor, which is less than a year old. When we saw the gash we called AHS and Solano Appliance Repair to make a claim for secondary damage. Despite many conversations, all they would ever say was "They didn't damage your floor, so we aren't going to do anything about it". Both parties denied responsibility, and that was that. NO ONE would even come out to look at the damage! We went as high up in each company as we could go to get satisfaction, and wasted many hours - now we are on to the Dept of Consumer Protection, and possibly an attorney, although hiring representation would surely cost more than a floor repair. Our advice - if a repair tech sent by AHS comes to your home, watch their every move so that you can catch them in the act of destroying your property. And NEVER call Solano Appliance Repair! They are incompetent. It seems that these two companies are in it together. read more
