I thought I needed some expensive electrical work (a junction box fix) based on another quote, but the Morton's tech looked at it and confirmed it was actually fine--saving me even more money. They even threw in a new quarter-turn shut-off valve at no extra cost to make things easier for me in the future. They came out and recommended we replace the hoses with stainless steel hoses. I thought this was a good idea, so I asked how much that was going to cost and was told it was going to be $945. We have a large washer and a small washer, as well as a steam dryer, so there are actually 3 lines. I told the tech that I had a service so we should get a discount. He showed me with the discount it was $315 per line. I went ahead and had it fixed. The tech had the needed parts. He replaced the lines. Total time in the house was under 1 hour. After it was done, I checked the price on the 3 lines and was disturbed that I could have bought them for all for under $100. I can see charging $315 for a service call and installing 1 line, but when they charged the same for the additional 2 lines, I feel that I was ripped off. I sent a letter to the manager asking for a partial refund. I also called twice and asked to speak to the manager. Nobody ever responded so I cancelled my service contract. This was several months ago. I am still being charged the $9.95 per month and have to dispute it with my credit card company. Stay away from this company.

We are new to the area (Ashland city) and weren't sure who to use so just decided to try them. Scheduling was quick and easy. They came that next afternoon. I got a call letting me know they were on their way. They figured out the source of the leak really quickly, showed it to me, and then fixed it fast. They were in and out in under 20 min and the pricing was very fair. I was expecting something outrageous. People's prices have been shocking so it was a relief to find a company that isn't trying to gouge their customers. The house we bought is a major fixer upper. Determines that the unit has no refrigerant. Finds leak in the lines between the inside air handler and the external compressor. Since the line was not part of the original install, repairs would not be handled under warranty. That was not what I wanted to hear, but I understood Efficient's stance. I requested a quote on the repairs. The Efficient Tech was not able to find anybody available to make or confirm a quote for the work. The tech promised that the quote would be delivered the next day. (April 9) April 30 2024 -- no quote or communication from Efficient Heating and Cooling. No text. No email. No phone call. April 30 2024 -- place call with Lee Company. May 1, 2024 -- Lee Company tech arrives and confirms that all the refrigerant has leaked out via a leak in the connecting lines. May 2, 2024 -- Lee Company sends a two technician team and they are able to complete repairs in a single day. May 2, 2024 Unit is working fine. Efficient Heating and Cooling never following up with a quote is not great. But it is a busy time. Guess I got lost in the shuffle. BUT The distressing part of this are the issues that were found apart from the leak ... Issues that were part of the original install by Efficient Heating and Cooling. Efficient Heating and Cooling trumpets its status as a Rheems partner and yet there were mistakes in the original install. " Found condenser wired incorrectly and thermostat programmed incorrectly." "Y2 and O/B were reversed at the condenser and thermostat was set to energize reversing valve on cool. Aux Heat wire was also landing on the wrong terminal at the thermostat. "
