I needed to get a smog check before I went back to the DMV. I was worried places around would be more expensive. I almost went to the first place I saw until I checked yelp and Allstar had great reviews. Right across the street from the DMV. Parked my car and walked up after another customer had just finished up. Mentioned the Yelp for a $5 discount. Great customer service, quick and helpful. When they were done I asked if I could borrow a screwdriver to remove my license plate, the guy removed it for me and I was on my way back to the DMV. read more

I sent my car registration in and didn't notice I needed smog check. When I got the letter from the DMV they received my money but needed a smog certificate. I just checked online an ALLSTAR popped up. It had outstanding reviews and so I went this morning and was in and out in about 15 minutes. They electronically send the certificate to the DMV and a copy for me. Great place great service. It's across from the Bellflower DMV read more

Excellent guys for Smog. Maybe it was my timing. I was in n out, however I was probably there quicker then the Hamburger place. They offer a check- in promo of $5.00 off, so even a better value then a lot of the other Smog stations. I will bring my other cars here as this year is when all my cars need smog. read more

This year, my car registration renewal needed a smog check, so I did some research here on Yelp to find a highly-rated smog check station and found AllStar Smog in Bellflower, mainly because of all the 5-star reviews plus they are located close to my home. I went there on a Saturday morning and there was only one customer ahead of me, so I let the nice man at the front check-in stand know I needed a smog check. I didn't wait very long before it was my turn. After the test was completed, I was given my smog test report (my car passed!) and I was on my way. Very fast, easy, and painless. :-) Price paid altogether was very reasonable at $50.00, with $5.00 off with the Yelp check-in. For those who need to go to the DMV, it's conveniently located directly across the street. I will definitely return here for my next smog check. read more

They were able to help me with my smog check and let me know what was wrong with my truck all the way around. I needed an oil change and they took care of it no problem. Also was able to tell me which tire pressure sensor was bad and was able to tell me about my stability track. On top of all of that they topped off all my oil and fluids. Check all of my filters. It was just a really good experience that I haven't had from a repair shop in a very long time not even the dealer does it like that anymore. I really appreciate how transparent they are. Five stars really aren't enough stars for them. And the best part is, it's a price you can't resist. Thank you guys!

Rip off. I need to get a smog check. I go to one place, they pre-test: catalytic converter not…read moreready. They can't do the check, tell me to drive it more. So I drive on freeway to another place: same story. Cat Converter still not ready, can't test. Notice BOTH places were able to determine it was not ready with the pretest so no services rendered and I wasn't charged anything. So this morning and drive it for 1.5 hours and end up here. I tell them "please pretest, it wasn't ready the last two times." They have no waiting area so I stood off to the side. I see them pretest, they say nothing. I see them start the real Smog check. Great! All is well. After they are done the worker approaches me, all smiles, and says "Ok, all done! Oh wait--" He read the print out of the test he was about to hand me: The catalytic converter wasn't ready. And they did the test anyway and CHARGED ME for it. I ask "Why did you do a smog check you knew would fail ahead of time?" No answer. His solution was to charge me $50 and retest for $30. The next time he promised he would do the pretest (the thing every other place does first to determine if they should do the smog check) "for free." And, why on earth would I go back?

MY FATHER HAS TAKEN MY CAR THERE BEFORE AND IT PASSED. I don't know if it was due to me being a female, or he just didn't want to work on my car, but after waiting for 5 mins while he was checking my car, he calls me over explaining that he would need to take another person instead of me because my car was going to take longer. He said that my cabin air filter had to be looked up to see if it was legal or not. It's had the sticker with the number on it! Even though I confirmed to him that the past owner had put all the stuff on the car. It's already completely legal. He said some bullshit about needing to check everything and run it through his system. Even though I waited my turn to get my car checked he wanted to take another car, that came after me, before he worked on my car, and said I could wait or take my car. Instead of being rude I just laughed and said I would take my car instead of waiting. POS.

Highly highly recommend supporting this small business. I first called First Class Smog (Buena Park) because of ratings and a coupon. I told him I had a coupon and he quoted a higher price than the coupon and said read the coupon (that didn't say anything about that) and cash and credit card were different prices. He was a bit snippy so I thought red flag - not giving this guy my business. Then I called Cal Smog - they told me the price and told me they would take care of me right away. A business that does what they say they are going to do without a crappy attitude. Thank you!
