I was searching for a Star-certified smog test station on my area after a bad experience with a non-Star station in Artesia and this one came up. I arrived 10 minutes before closing time and they didn't not hesitate in taking my vehicle even though they were getting ready to call it a day. They also accommodated me not having my DMV statement, which I had misplaced, and accepted an old proof of registration to get the process started. After that, it was smooth sailing as the inspection was done in less than 10 minutes. Great customer service! I will be returning here in the future with all of my vehicles. read more

I needed a smog check. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon. Before I could get out the car, a gentleman approached me and said their are two cars ahead of me. I waited less than 10 mins and he took less than 10 mins. to do my smog check. Great customer service and fast service. I would definitely return. read more

Best decision you can make to bring your vehicle here. Even short staffed you get the best and fastest service from them. So I can only imagine how amazing they are full staffed! They are all so nice and knowledgeable about any vehicle questions or concerns you may have. Was at another smog place but was not friendly so i searched on yelp and found ALlStar Smog....gave them a call and Jose was very friendly and professional....told him what car i had and he gave me price...and he told him mo appointments and it wasnt that busy...when i go there 3 cars were ahead of me...but they were fast so i didnt have to wait long...Jose was very friendly and he even told me to check in to yelp and you get a 5 dollar off coupon....fast and professional...not only that the shop is across from the DMV so its covenient...i will be telling my family and friends to take their car here for smog checks...not only price but because Jose is friendly ....thank you Jose read more

In and out in less then 10 mins. Super nice and friendly staff. Ramon was on it as so was his counterpart. Together they completed the smog painless and quick. Quick and easy. Great attitude and easy going. It's a place that checks smog. It's an easy to miss place along a row of other businesses, but they usually have a sign on the sidewalk to direct people in. Once you pull in, you can hang right and park. If no one is there, you usually can ask to pull in front of the bay. You hand over the paper from the DMV or they can look you up by your car's VIN. Settle down and watch the show. Within a few minutes, you're on your way. read more

I must say today's experience has been great... i have been getting my truck smog checked here…read moresince they opened. Every time has been great, but this time my truck was leaking oil. They were able to help me with my smog check and let me know what was wrong with my truck all the way around. I needed an oil change and they took care of it no problem. Also was able to tell me which tire pressure sensor was bad and was able to tell me about my stability track. On top of all of that they topped off all my oil and fluids. Check all of my filters. It was just a really good experience that I haven't had from a repair shop in a very long time not even the dealer does it like that anymore. I really appreciate how transparent they are. Five stars really aren't enough stars for them. And the best part is, it's a price you can't resist. Thank you guys!

Rip off. I need to get a smog check. I go to one place, they pre-test: catalytic converter not…read moreready. They can't do the check, tell me to drive it more. So I drive on freeway to another place: same story. Cat Converter still not ready, can't test. Notice BOTH places were able to determine it was not ready with the pretest so no services rendered and I wasn't charged anything. So this morning and drive it for 1.5 hours and end up here. I tell them "please pretest, it wasn't ready the last two times." They have no waiting area so I stood off to the side. I see them pretest, they say nothing. I see them start the real Smog check. Great! All is well. After they are done the worker approaches me, all smiles, and says "Ok, all done! Oh wait--" He read the print out of the test he was about to hand me: The catalytic converter wasn't ready. And they did the test anyway and CHARGED ME for it. I ask "Why did you do a smog check you knew would fail ahead of time?" No answer. His solution was to charge me $50 and retest for $30. The next time he promised he would do the pretest (the thing every other place does first to determine if they should do the smog check) "for free." And, why on earth would I go back?

MY FATHER HAS TAKEN MY CAR THERE BEFORE AND IT PASSED. I don't know if it was due to me being a female, or he just didn't want to work on my car, but after waiting for 5 mins while he was checking my car, he calls me over explaining that he would need to take another person instead of me because my car was going to take longer. He said that my cabin air filter had to be looked up to see if it was legal or not. It's had the sticker with the number on it! Even though I confirmed to him that the past owner had put all the stuff on the car. It's already completely legal. He said some bullshit about needing to check everything and run it through his system. Even though I waited my turn to get my car checked he wanted to take another car, that came after me, before he worked on my car, and said I could wait or take my car. Instead of being rude I just laughed and said I would take my car instead of waiting. POS.

Highly highly recommend supporting this small business. I first called First Class Smog (Buena Park) because of ratings and a coupon. I told him I had a coupon and he quoted a higher price than the coupon and said read the coupon (that didn't say anything about that) and cash and credit card were different prices. He was a bit snippy so I thought red flag - not giving this guy my business. Then I called Cal Smog - they told me the price and told me they would take care of me right away. A business that does what they say they are going to do without a crappy attitude. Thank you!
