I clearly did not read the fine print carefully enough when I signed up, but now I'm stuck with a $325 surcharge on top of a $190+ monthly premium--all because of hard braking in Austin traffic. Seriously?! If you've ever driven here, you know slamming on the brakes is practically a survival skill. The nerve of them to penalize me for avoiding accidents! Lesson learned: be very cautious with insurance companies and their so-called "savings programs." Progressive turned out to be just like the rest--quick to take your money and slow to offer real solutions. I'm officially over it. Now, I'm looking for better auto insurance options and ideally a bundle with home insurance.
