Alex was also very knowledgeable about endorsements I could add to my homeowners policy that would help insure me against a couple things my last agency did not make me aware of! They are only good at taking your money, not assisting in claims. It was suggested the money I saved on my insurance could be used to pay for my incident which was of no fault of my own. Totally insulted and disgusted that Del would send me an email like that. Not even the courage to call me directly. He emailed me. Cold, impersonal and not someone worth doing business with. I've been a long time customer and never filed a claim. Miserable experience and I switched agents immediately following. Not professional in any way. When a customer is upset and ready to quit using your service, a phone call could have gone a long way. Del flat out does not care about his clients, just the checks they send. Really disappointing this is the first time I had to deal with State Farm Total Loss. This loss was not due to my negligence, but this was a "double whip claim". Which means State Farm insurers both people--- no independent party working on your behalf. When State Farm contacts the customer has no clue who on who's behalf they are working for. Dustin Daly - Total Loss in State Farm Insurance ® Murfreesboro TN was rude to the point of yelling at me and my husband on the phone. AFTER State Farm had received a signed title for our vehicle and after I repeatedly clarified we had signed ALL documents, they had everything they need, and cashed the check on September 28, 2016. On October 3, 2016, Dustin Daly demanded we sign a release for a vehicle we no longer owned to be towed from the Gerber Repair facility. It simply isn't my car anymore, I cannot sign for what is not mine. Truly, yelling and threatening us on the phone. I called our agent and asked for assistance. I was told Dustin Daly wasn't going to be working for State Farm Total Loss division shortly. My question, "Is he getting a promotion?". The customer got reprimanded and treated rudely. I turned to our agent...first time I ever asked to speak with him. I said, we have never today or any time before not cooperated with State Farm. Dustin Daly sent us the following letter, Gerber Collision & Glass has requested a signed release of your vehicle in order for State Farm to take possession of it. "Per the Insured's Duties (3. Insured's Duty to Cooperate With Us a. The insured must cooperate with us and, when asked, assist us in: (1) making settlements;), State Farm requests that you complete the release in a timely manner. The Last Day of Storage for your vehicle is 10/06/2016, beginning 10/07/2016 State Farm will not be responsible for any storage fees that you may occure from the body shop Gerber Collision & Glass. As your State Farm Claim Representative I have informed you of your responsibilities both verbally and in writing. Please complete the written release at Gerber Collsion & Glass and advise State Farm once complete. Sincerely, Dustin Daly Claim Representative (855) 419-3582 Ext. 6156923146 Fax: (855) 666-0964 State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company How can anyone legally sign a release for something they no longer own? Once the title is signed and the check is cashed ownership shifts from me to state farm. 1. Am I still responsible for the vehicle after signing over the title? 2. Where is the delineation for sale? Worse yet is that Gerber is a State Farm facility. What the heck! 3. State Farm tells Gerber we own the vehicle, we have the title. Unclear where the confusion is regarding ownership...except Dustin threatened...State Farm will never appear on your title...it will be months. What does that mean? Even the Secretary of States Office could not figure out why we were required to sign a release after the title was signed over to State Farm. I asked for a letter of retraction and I asked to speak with Dustin Daly's boss. 1). Del Vasey did call Dustin, who admitted he "lost it" but refused to retract his "warning letter", which stays in our file. 2). We have had no follow-up from our agent 3). We have not been contacted by Dustin's boss. Del Vasey nor State Farm has ever called back or followed up with their customer. Really nice staff interactions in the past but a customer should be listened to and we should be able to find someone at State Farm who wants to talk to their customers. read more

The Vasey Agency is great as long as you just want to send them checks, and not actually have to use your insurance policy if anything happens to you. I feel bad posting that given how nice they always are on the phone, but that's the bottom line. After a few uneventful years, two things happened in my apartment. The first involved my upstairs neighbor, who caused a leak in my powder room by trying to be Mr. Fix it in his powder room above. I filed a claim for the damage that was caused by being leaked on from above, certainly no fault of mine. The second happened when a record rainstorm hit Chicago, and there was water damage in my condo building. Unit owners were assessed for water damage to certain common elements. Long story short - I was repeatedly told by State Farm that this loss was not covered under my policy, given the circumstances. I assumed that was a reasonable response, until I learned from neighbor after neighbor that they had been paid. Then my downstairs neighbor told me she had been paid - by State Farm. I called the Vasey Agency back about this. They put me through the motions of all sorts of paperwork, until my neighbor and I finally said - State Farm has already approved the claim based on one unit owner's file complete with photography and video. Please access that same file for a second claim - it's the same damage. They finally did so, and lo and behold, sheepishly said they would honor my claim - many, many months after I had given up, and only because my neighbor happened to mention that State Farm had paid her claim. This was worth $10,000 to me given my policy, so was certainly worth fighting for. Needless, to say, had I not chatted with my neighbor, one State Farm office would have covered her, while another State Farm office denied me. That just isn't right. And what really isn't right is that, as a result of having prevailed on this issue, the Vasey Agency has now sent me packing and told me they are dropping me. Apparently, two claims in six years - even when they do their best not to have to cover them, and neither has anything to do with any negligence on my part - is too much. And, in their wrap-up correspondence to me, they suggested that it would be great to have me back someday. I had to read it twice and ask what they meant. The incredibly nice woman at Vasey apologized again, and suggested that maybe in another three years or so, maybe they would take me back if I want to go to the hassle of changing insurers AGAIN and just can't live without the insurance company that dumped me. No thanks. So, beware. Lovely people. But if you actually file a claim, beware. read more
